Nice trick dude!

Magic leaf I get it, but... why strawberry? I think it would be something weirder like skull. XD

the magnifying glass over a zoomed out overworld is actually a really creative way to make the most of one screen, and it actually feels semi-functional, giving the player a strong sens of where they are in the grand scheme of things while simultaneously having a close-up view of themselves. Almost like a reverse minimap.

I like the trick of using the magnifying glass in order to get pass the boundaries that the theme imposes. You need to think about what motivates the player to play the game.

As for me, I think that the magnifying glass is a little bit annoying. I lose the overview because of it.

Very great take on the theme and awesome reference to Asterix comic (so is the magnifying glass).

I don't know if it is intended but I found interesting how the magnifying glass is part of the game difficulty: you don't see very far inside the glass, and the glass itself hides the map around you. Which means it is almost a memory game (you have to memoize the map before you reach the place, otherwise you don't see it anymore because of the glass).

Some people might find it annoying, but I think it is a nice touch in the gameplay.

Hi there. Like the idea of magnifying player surround, but found the magnifying glass got in the way heavily, maybe a good immersion thing - you could get a bit lost even though you have the map. Good job with the cameras!

I've got mixed feelings for this game! I think the idea of the magnifying glass is awesome! However the size of it limited the view too much and made it hard to play. I'm a huge Asterix/Obelix fan so I loved the atmosphere! However I felt a bit underpowered compared to the romans! Maybe I forgot to drink some potion :) Good game

Awesome, I loooove it !
(also I got all the items but didn't find a end ?)

Pretty cool effect with the magnifying.

Hi there, juste come back to share a suggestion.
May be the collision box of the character could be smaller ?
Like just the bottom square of the sprite, at the feet.
I've got stuck in trees several times and those romans are demons ..!

Anyway, I enjoyed it ! Great work !

The magnifying glass is a great idea but I often found it got in the way of finding my way! Pretty nice idea and presentation but would've liked more opportunities for skill instead of just bashing my way through. Nice effort though!

Great trick with the magnifying glass, and good voice acting.

Nice one.

The magnification is a really cool way to use such a large map in a single screen. It would be really helpful to have more visual feedback when a player takes damage or damages an enemy. Nice work!

skulioskarsson 2014-12-11 23:20

Interesting game

tyruspeace 2014-12-12 01:48

Great use of the theme! I was a bit excited to see what that potion would do at the end, though :'(.

Pretty good ideas : the glass and the Astrix's tribute.
