LD29 — Beneath the Surface

Bornard by TomBoogaart 2014-05-06T10:54:00

this game is also a game http://www.ludumdare.com/compo/ludum-dare-29/?action=preview&uid=36621

Roots by Dutchess Games 2014-04-30T12:10:00

Programmer of the game here, In this build of the game the win condition is missing. (I got sick during the jam, so many features are missing) You were supposed to win if you got to a certain height, and than you would see a screen with your character crushing the earth. Assume you win if the character goes out of frame.

LD33 — You are the Monster

Unsolicited by dukope 2015-08-28T10:38:00

Once again you I find myself enjoying office work. 9/10 would sign/seal/deliver again.

Devil's Thoughts by ponk 2015-08-28T11:02:00

Currently the game is a bit on the boring side. The underling concept really makes this. Keep at it, the post jam version is already a lot more fun. Would steal letters again

Nessie: Hide 'n' Eat by Jerre 2015-08-28T10:52:00

I got a score of 15, a lamp spawned right on me. That felt really unfair. Like the creepy atmosphere and art.

noodle ramen by rubna 2015-09-10T13:13:00

very cute, it's had to believe why anyone would want to eat such a cute thing.

Separated by rxi 2015-08-28T14:04:00

The music is wonderful. I felt really sad because nobody liked me. But not he lightning bugs they are my friends.

RPG Director by HeyZeus 2015-08-27T21:40:00

Creative concept, good humor.

Monster Child by Bruno Massa 2015-08-28T10:46:00

Very cute artsyle. I'm also stuck after the tutorial.

Sucker Punch by Shaw 2015-08-28T14:12:00

One of the better kraken games. I love the "my leg" spongebob gag. The tentacle is very responsive so I can pretend to be an ninja kraken. Also a nice difficulty progression. Would punch again.

Meeuw by TomBoogaart 2015-08-27T20:25:00

10 van de 10 meeuwen. Would play again

Monster VS Tanks by wilpel1234 2015-08-28T11:06:00

Quite hard. The tank bullet feel a bit unfair due to their small size. Nice you added an upgrade system.

Delusion by Meme Teme 2015-08-28T11:26:00

Fuck those wardrobes. Very dark and creative concept. The controls are a bit awkward, but the fun of smashing buildings makes up for it.

LD34 — Two Button Controls / Growing

tuinvrouw by TomBoogaart 2015-12-16T09:14:00

EAT MY FRUIT BITCH!! I was completely sure what I was supposed to be doing. 4/4 would eat again.

Button Sniper by BubuIIC 2015-12-16T10:52:00

Boss battle of the year. Genius to use literal buttons. Would fish-stick again.

Vitality by lastninja2 2015-12-16T11:28:00

Nice gameplay concept. A bit difficult for me.

Cyber Dragon by mathijs750 2015-12-16T10:05:00

@NoWandStudios Thanks for the bug report. A game over screen should have triggered when you hit the tower.

Cyber Dragon by mathijs750 2015-12-16T10:06:00

@Si1ver hold down the right mouse button until the blue bar is full.

Growing Dragon by Erfeo 2015-12-15T03:32:00

Our game shares some elements. You are a clever person for agreeing with us.

Cottron by MrMordem 2015-12-16T11:12:00

Mashing the spacebar is fun. To bad I couldn't see my final score at the and. Great weapon choice.

Two Button Detective or a Story about Stolen Diamond by Si1ver 2015-12-16T10:58:00

I'm sure I've missed something.

Lunar Landing by Pietdagamer 2015-12-16T09:50:00

Nice sound design. It took me a while to figure out how to get lower on the surface. I almost flew back to orbit a few times. But I landed. Would make giant leaps again.

Gjallarhorn by NoWandStudios 2015-12-16T11:05:00

Nice animations. The music works quite well.

Ending by marmpa 2015-12-16T11:43:00

The controls were a bit difficult to understand. Also the image on the top right kept growing an blocking my view. I couldn't finish. Nice music though.

Battle For Bedroom by monetai 2015-12-16T11:20:00

The controls where a bit weird on a qwerty-keyboard. I like the graphics. Would definitely play again (with 360 pad)

TAMAGROW by gibrel 2015-12-16T11:47:00

Not sure what happened but I got 799 (points?)

Farmer VS The Not So Wild by Windywyll 2015-12-16T10:00:00

I only found the how to play button on my second try. I miss some feedback when I take damage. Fun concept.

Let Me Explain by OwT 2015-12-16T09:25:00

Daring art style, very moody. The story transitions are a bit abrupt but I can imagine that was a debilitate choice. Please follow up on the cliffhanger.

Singapore Christmas by iovorobiev 2015-12-16T11:53:00

It gets a bit hard after the tree is 5 layers tall. The gameplay concept is very original but it could be explained better.

Tiny Tyrant by tyrants.not.found.team 2015-12-16T09:35:00

Nice you took the time to read out the text. This is a wonderful mechanic, however am terrible at memorizing the combinations. You get my vote.

LD38 — A Small World

A small world by CoderDozer 2017-05-16T22:38:45Z

Not much of a game, but I liked the message it has. I'd like to see some further development of this.

Human Tragedy by tiffi 2017-05-02T17:51:28Z

Nice moody game. I didn't care much for the backtracking so the ending remains a mystery to me. I like the flavoured the ingame tutorial.

Grillmeister by tomdeal 2017-05-02T17:40:06Z

The game gets hectic fast, and I like it. Nice to have a video tutorial in there. The order system is a bit on the finicky side though.

Jelly Germ by Ethereal Psyche Games 2017-05-02T18:19:47Z

The abilities are a cool concept, but I feel they could have used a bit more pollish. I got stuck at the end of level 1 when I needed to use the bouncy power. The music and art are charming.

Small Whirled by PTSnoop 2017-05-16T21:16:46Z

It gets hectic really damn fast. A fun bug/feature I found was negative levels, which gives you a place to practice while also being condescending. It turns into a spamfest quickly but is sure gives you the same workout you would get when escaping a real whirlpool. :cloud_tornado:

Flerth by parahunter 2017-05-16T22:33:57Z

I love how I want to take care of the little peeps while simultaneously smashing them to pulp. The game gets hectic fast, but at some point the tension was lost and I smashed them all to pulp. Really endearing art-style and music choice.

Sunken Mystery by Shubham Gupta 2017-05-02T18:01:11Z

Not sure if it was intentional or not, but I like how you have to reset the oxygen meter to give yourself more time. The jumping and hit detection feels a bit unfair.

Dispyria by Tat2Tim 2017-05-02T21:36:23Z

Well executed retro aesthetic. I'm really digging the music, especially the green field part. The water section was and unexpected twist. I did find some game breaking collision issues, but this was one of those games I wanted to finish completely.

Shrunk Down by Chrras 2017-05-16T22:11:54Z

I like the concept, it reminds me a litle of the childrens book [Erik of het klein insectenboek](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Erik_of_het_klein_insectenboek). The concept of blueberries as gradual power ups works well. The game got a bit too hard at the end when the big ant queen started chasing me. Although it also felt a bit like the controls were at fault too. :ant:

This is my spot by k8n 2017-05-02T18:25:29Z

Funny and ludicrously fast paced brawler. The fish character is my favorite. There is not much else to the game, but that keeps it fun and entertaining.

Star keeper by Alexandr AndroidDev 2017-05-16T21:30:20Z

I took me a few tries to figure out what I was supposed to be doing. After an "aha"-moment with the into screen I enjoyed myself immediately. I like the use of colour and the calm music. The character could move a bit faster though. :blossom:

Rock Hammer by Airman4 2017-05-02T18:10:32Z

The game could use a better indicator about where your plasma ball(?) is going to hit. I like the little viking dude though.

sceen.PNG One other minor gripe is the wasted screen space. Just look at all that blue space begging to be turned into a cave .

My Other World by Formona 2017-05-16T21:05:00Z

The concept has a lot of potential. I love the artstyle and music. The gameplay was a bit on the difficult side, which felt a bit misplaced given the style and narrative. I'm looking forward to further developments.

LD39 — Running out of Power

Ride Out by Stending 2017-08-08T11:06:37Z

I enjoyed myself a lot with this one. The controls and frame-based animation feel very solid and polished. The obstacles are well spaced out and the game feels fair. One thing that could use improving is the fail state, right now your mistakes stack and after 3(?) hits you restart the zone. I feel like this could have been time based, so your mistake in the beginning of the zone doesn't make the end impossible.

Power Bunnies by pcmaster 2017-08-03T13:49:57Z

One of the games I legitimately laughed out loud for. I reached 118 bunnies max before they surrounded me. As others have said the controls are a bit weird but that didn't hamper my enjoyment. :rabbit:

Plutonium by Nnnnneeeedddd 2017-08-03T13:28:43Z

Fun little platformer. The camera could use some love, it feels too snappy in tight spaces and too slow when you fall down a pit. As others have said level 4 is very difficult, I think that is partially because how the controls and camera work. I liked the in-game tutorial, but the text should have been 2D, the parallax on the letters mad it hard to read.

Gain Quest: The Art of Muscle by Devastus 2017-08-03T13:10:33Z

Funny take on the theme, the game over screens are really amusing. I like the well executed pixel art aesthetic. The minigames where fun, but the interaction controls left a bit to be desired. For instance setting the weight was very difficult.

The Last Stand by TeamMonumental 2017-08-06T20:00:33Z

Not sure how the energy recharge thing worked, but in the end I didn't need it. I like the low poly art, and the attention to detail with the particles. The gun and robot's could use use more audible feedback.

Pathjumper by mrnyarlathotep 2017-08-01T15:34:51Z

Interesting mechanic, it adds quite a bit of replay-ability. The flying works with a gamepad but feels a bit more clunky than the keyboard. Getting too ambitious is something I can relate to, so I understand the lack of audio.

Plane'R by R3L0ad1 2017-08-01T15:21:38Z

Fun rogue-like game. As others have said, an invert-y option would have been nice. I especially liked the kill cam at the end. Well done!

m-Powerment by QuantumZen 2017-08-06T19:03:24Z

I like the music and unique art-style, the mix between renders and pixel art is interesting. However I was very confused about how to play in the beginning. The fact that you could hold batteries for infinite ammo could have been explained a bit more organically. At level 5 I got bored and stopped playing. I'd like to see more of this game after some more polish.

Electric Neon by kamikaziuk 2017-08-05T10:38:40Z

I got 33. Well executed visuals. I missed the power meter on my first few runs though.

Plug Me by hav24 2017-08-03T13:42:20Z

Lovely art style, very charming. I rage-quit at level 5 with a 10 killstreak . The bar mechanic was a cool twist.

Deep by tenshi42 2017-08-06T19:38:31Z

Right away the game feels very polished, though seeing you've used an asset pack I'm not sure how much you made during the jam. I found an interesting bug where I fell out the world when pressing `F` after I sat in the pilot chair. I also got stuck in the floor (I think) after a few trips to the pilot chair. The soundscape in the rest of the submarine feels very tense, well done. One of the better games I've played, though it is a bit buggy right now.

B1NMAN_ROFP by davideperozzi 2017-08-06T20:08:44Z

Trash bins unite :wastebasket:. Wave 4 was my personal best. I really liked the physical screenshake, and use of particles.

The Infinite Mine by SuperCrunchy 2017-08-05T12:26:23Z

Nice in-game tutorial. I enjoyed this one a lot! At a score of 20000 the game started to lag and it felt like I hit a skill ceiling.

Growing Pains by ctjet99 2017-08-05T10:48:14Z

That roy easter egg though . Fun concept, good execution.

RUnning out of Power by BoxterGames 2017-08-03T12:54:35Z

I have no idea how to play this game. It starts, sprites move, some numbers go up and I'm back at the title screen. Art wise the game looks fine, but the lack of explanation makes it unplayable.

LD40 — The more you have, the worse it is

The Red Ribbon Killer by Avon 2017-12-10T23:23:36Z

The best game I've played thus far. It is really ambitious to do a detective game in such a short time but you have pulled it off. I liked the conclusion. As others have said adding a changing cursor would make the pixel hunting a bit easier, but after the first room I didn't have any difficulty finding clues. The character models have a goofy charm to them. Well done!

One Final Task by HuvaaKoodia 2017-12-10T19:28:50Z

The game could have used an undo button, without it making one mistake is much more punishing than it needs to be. I stopped playing at level 4 because restarting the whole level over and over again became too tedious. The webGl build runs nice and smooth (and pulling that off is easier said than done :p). It has the potential to be an nice puzzle game, but right now I’m more frustrated than entertained.

The burden by mathijs750 2017-12-10T20:42:44Z

@grentacular thanks for the feedback. The windows build is the original jam version. The webGL version has fixed the inverted y-axis, and some other rendering issues. We're working on a fixed standalone version right now, since quite a lot of people are having issues with the web version.

The burden by mathijs750 2017-12-10T21:41:59Z

We have uploaded fixed standalone builds of the game. Hopefully this makes it possible to play the game for the people that have issues with the webGL version.

Bit Swapper by Galan 2017-12-10T22:41:54Z

Unfortunately I could only play in loner mode. The fullscreen didn't play nice with my absurd monitor setup, but that is more my fault . The mechanic is very interesting so I'll definitely try it with a second player. Something to show progression would probably make the game even better.

Critter Looters by OnionBlaze 2017-12-10T21:56:59Z

I tried it out in an emulator (no way I'm downloading random apk's from the web on my phone) and I could not get past the start screen. Any chance you can make a windows and/or webGl build?

Asteroid breaker by smiley 2017-12-10T22:22:22Z

Controlling the wrecking ball was difficult but in a fun way. The webGL version stuttered a bit, but from experience I know that making webGL builds is hard . The soundtrack was very nice.

Gertrudes by MagonX 2017-12-10T22:12:16Z

Granny helped 15 cats before she lost her mind. I like the concept but the controls make the game very difficult. I felt like Granny-tank who needed to rev up her engine before she could get moving. Also in the webGL version the game doesn't properly restart when I press the restart button. The Gertrude model is fantastic though!

Manystar by alexfalkenberg 2017-12-11T13:02:09Z

I could repeat what others have said, but that wouldn't help you much. Still impressive for 12 hours with sickness though. Looking forward to the post jam version.

The digger by sahilts 2017-12-10T15:09:20Z

The dropbox link is broken

The digger by sahilts 2017-12-10T18:44:48Z

The link works now. A few things stood out to me. The shovel hit only seems to work from the side, so hitting the spider things than move in from the bottom is much more difficult that it needs to be. Also if you are putting in a score system, it's nice to see the final score in the gameover screen so you can brag about it in the comments. I liked the character art and the music. Solid first time entry.

Runner's Time by Nebulous 2017-12-10T21:57:52Z

The link is still dead

Don't get drunk by tulipekoni 2017-12-10T15:00:10Z

Love that drunkenness effect! Fits the theme well. As others have mentioned, the music get repetitive after a while. Nice game.

Infernus: The Descent by Team Infernus 2017-12-10T15:23:27Z

Oh boy, I didn't expect the genitalia. This is not really my type of game, but I appreciate the effort you put in.

I took too many drugs by Neecko 2017-12-10T19:03:02Z

Nice "whoa dude" game. Finding more pills after number 6 proved impossible so the ending remains a mystery to me. I like the music a lot, although I wish the audio source was 2D. It felt weird how the music seems to come out of the wall.

LD46 — Keep it alive

My first game :) by Jenocke 2020-05-07T21:41:39Z

Great first effort. I got to 141 before cubey died.

Snail Away by mathijs750 2020-05-07T21:35:53Z

I made a more playable version. The old build is still available

Everybody's Gone To The Raptor by Dziek 2020-05-07T22:02:35Z

Great music, very funny! The player feedback was a bit lacking. I couldn't tell when I hit a note or not. The constant particles were also a bit distracting. I'd love to see a more polished version of this.

Gregg by Walkalope 2020-05-07T21:53:38Z

I love the feeling you created. I'd give feedback but seeing this wall of comments most issues are probably addressed. Well done :)

Plants To Grow by foxtrotluna 2020-05-07T18:44:02Z

Very calm and moody atmosphere. Well done
