nice entry! Can I find on indiexpo.net?
yeah sure... will send the link once uploaded.
The controls feels great and graphics are good but is incredibly difficult! The first scene was hard and when I died in the second scene I started from the beginning!
I played this on my livestream here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=srBde18ASdY
I had a lot of trouble with the control scheme, I think the character controller could stand to have a few improvements. The timer is hard, but possible. Good puzzle design going on though.
You can drag the slider to reset your oxygen. Makes the game trivial
Nice music and I like the theme. I think some of the title graphics have been stretched and are a bit blurry - unless that's the style!
I enjoyed playing this, thanks.
I think you should be able to play the same level indefinitely, without being sent to the beginning of the game.
that bug now has been fixed and u can play the same level instead of going to beginning.
Nice gameplay and an awesome soundtrack but the quirky physics kill some of the fun as you often die just because you run out of air after getting stuck at some edge or after moving one of the crates accidentally when attempting to jump on it. I played the HTML5 build on itch.io.
Not sure if it was intentional or not, but I like how you have to reset the oxygen meter to give yourself more time. The jumping and hit detection feels a bit unfair.
Interesting concept, had a lot of fun playing it, little glitchy at times (I fell through the floor), but otherwise a solid entry.
Very solid entry. I didn't like the jump animation (or more likelly the jump physics or maybe it was the missing SFX), it fell kinda dull / unnatural. I've also got stuck somewhere sometimes. It was a little bit hard for me at least for the first levels and I was able to stuck box in the second level so I couldn't retrieve it. But don't get me wrong, I always try to provide constructive critique, I really liked your game and I think if you fix, extend and polish it, you might be able to publish it. Keep up the good work!
i never figured out that you could reset the oxygen meter manually, so I had to do it the hard way. The puzzles were mostly challenging because of the floaty control scheme.
The gameplay and the puzzles are quite cool and challenging. But with that oxygen running out you don't have much time to think about the puzzle and the solution. That makes the game really hard and you have to repeat the levels a lot the get the right solution. For me the game would be better without the time restrict or maybe expand it so it does not run out so fast :P Overall a cool game but really difficult.
Cheers :)
That song is called Overpowered by Phantom Power Music. I recognized it immediately because I listen to a lot of those "epic music mixes" on YouTube. It's an awesome song and just wanted to point out that this wasn't made by the developer.

Hmm - it's quite difficult! Had trouble jumping accurately - but it was fun to play. I love the design - very atmospheric!
thanks @camilo .... yeah stages were made in hurry so didn't thought much about its difficulty level. Will make those levels more playable soon.
thanks @occultone for playing and game and will surely improve the character control. As it was our first unity game and we need to learn more on how to improvise collider issue
@team-disposable .. thanks for your reviews. And those fonts were used intentionally. If its isn't that good then will surely change that later
@mathijs750 ... oxygen meter was firstly unintentional bt now it has been made a part of a game. Thanks for detecting that issue
Thanks a lot for that review @wolar ... its much needed as it was the first game made by us and those glitches will make us to learn more about that. And will surely publish the game once completed its glitches
@yves ... yeah surely those levels are quite difficult bcz it was then made in hurry and will make that more playable soon bt adding some more elements. Thanks!
A good platformer, quite complex but understandable, I liked the management but in some places I was stuck. Cool teleporters!
Really difficult. The timing element really builds up tension and the music is fitting. Nice entry.
I don't know if it's a bug with the HTML5 version (which I played) but the control input and collision detection are an issue with this. I would get stuck in places that didn't make sense to get stuck in (on corners while jumping). Plus the jumping felt very stiff. I really like the oxygen meter idea but when you are having to traverse platforming levels in a time limit then the controls and collisions need to be spot on. Maybe this plays better with a controller?
The graphics were nice but you may want to emphasize the oxygen meter more in the UI since it's such a significant part of the gameplay. Cool music too! Also, people seem to be commenting that they could reset the oxygen meter but I couldn't...how is it done?
yeah i know that those colliding issues are bit weird and i need to fix them soon. And the ability to reset oxygen was also removed last time a updated the game but it will be added again soon. Thanks @kodiqi
This was an interesting game, quite quick and fun to play... I'm pretty sure I died randomly a few times. I was watching the meter and no obstacles were nearby. Not too sure exactly what was causing it (it might just be me being stupid) but if it is just me, then maybe some feedback or warnings on death could be quite cool to see. It's a nice little action game nonetheless
The collision detection could use some work. Graphics are decent, and gameplay is conveyed quite clearly with the tutorial. If you polished the controls and collision, this could be a great platformer. Good job!
Had a lot of issues with the jumping and clipping into walls. Good concept but needs a lot of work on the collision.
Good Job making your first game!!! Please rate my game!!! https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/38/monster-island
ok i play the game i rate the game please help by rate mine

the game gitchy alot if i push the box may i die if i walk to wall i die idk why ?
but i like the animation i like the idea , u just need to fix the bugs in the way :)
Good idea! It's really hard for me. And very, very good sound! Great job!
The ideas for this game is good, and the game is also fun to play. The difficulty level is a bit high, but with some polishing and bug fixing, this can easily be fixed. Overall a well made LD game. Well done.
Wow - this is surprisingly difficult. I took a while to figure out the second screen and then I actually got stuck on the third. I am assuming I need to get the box through the first teleporter...but then how do I get through? It looks like I'm going to have to use my brain...damn it!
Excellent work! Very functional and with just a little more polish it could be released commercially.
I liked it! The first puzzle with the shooting turret was really hard, I'd like to see someone not get hit by it. After that it was quite smooth. Game play was good, but I got stuck so I'm not sure if there were more mechanics added later.
I didn't pass the third level after several attempts (I sucks though :) but the level design seems great, I didn't expected these buttons/teleports mechanics ! There seems to be some glitches with the platforms/jumps, but it is totally already playable and enjoyable in its current state. I totally want to see some friends more competent than me try it, so it's a pretty clear success, bravo !
Definitely one of the more fun games i've played over the course of the jam! I have to admit i skipped straight past the tutorial and didn't immediately get the teleporter mechanic - but it was nicely introduced. Biggest piece of feedback would be that i think it would be easier to pick up and play if the mechanics were taught in isolation (for example the bullet & crates individually) then mixed and matched to create increasing levels of difficulty. The mood of the game was great, very upbeat and fast paced (music worked awesome!) - difficult but not unfair :-) Great stuff. The graphics looks nice but game out a little blurry for me in the web build (especially the menu).
Hahah nice game. It's fun to control this character, and the levels have a good design too. Nice work!
I love the graphics and smooth (almost) animations :). Good job on a simple, yet fun platformer.
You chose a difficult mechanic to get right in such short time :)
Overall you did good, and controls are well placed - but the issue lies in hitboxes and - since I see you used Unity - either in materials, or collision mechanic. In many places hitboxes make the player stuck (which can be alleviated with tweaks and less friction if physics are used).
Since it's a skill-based game, and fast paced at that, it feels unfair when player loses because of it. Don't get me wrong - you did an tremendous amount of work on this, it's just that in this type of games it takes a long time - and loads of playtesting - to get those things just right.
Besides that, and some minor tweaks (like more careful object placement not to leave gaps, and dealing with things like those moving boxes in lvl 2 going through walls) its all right. You made difficult but manageable levels, controls are easy to pick up, obstacles are understandable and not unfair.
I hope you'll have time to develop your project further :)
Cheers, and stay awesome!
P.S. Please, credit the music author :)
Hi! I like the graphics. It was a bit hard to move around at times, especially around slopes. The game is big, I mean the number of levels, wow. Good job :)
Very challenging, mostly down to the control as the movement was very fast for me and I kept moving off of the ladders and platforms, this is due the the added sense of urgency with the depleating oxygen which was a nice touch but I had to wonder how it fills up between levels, I think it could possible help the story if you collect a new tank at the end or something, but thats more asthetic than actual gameplay though. Loved the puzzle aspect. Great job overall
This is pretty good entry, though it's in need of some polish. Specific thoughts:
* The music was very nice, but if you didn't create it yourself you should opt out of the music category for voting. * The controls/physics could use some tweaking. It's easy to get stuck on things. * There should probably be an oxygen count-down or bar telling you how long you have left before you lose * There should be pickups that restore some oxygen. * Running out of lives should not be a thing; starting over from level 1 is ok in games making use of procedurally-generated content, but otherwise, it doesn't add to the game in most cases.
In any case, kudos to you guys for this, good job!
