LD59 — Signal

Signal Weave by alexhonor 2026-04-21T09:26:01Z

Mooore income-!! Really love this simplistic game. You dive in very quickly and get rewards and positive feedback instantly. I would love this to be a multiplayer game somehow. I didn't get the message "wrong input" though.

Signal Drift by kpded 2026-04-20T23:40:08Z

"not my signal" I thought I'd play for a few seconds, and it's already 2 a.m. Well done! I really like the pace of the game. I wish there could be more structures to build as the universe expands.

Signaliens by martinfernandezGD 2026-04-22T22:22:46Z

Very clear controls and mechanics, easy to onboard. Nice work! I didn’t have any sound during my runs, is that normal?

Dark Sigils by Artur Hawkwing 2026-04-21T11:33:41Z

Damn, I had trouble understanding what to do at first. You force me to get pen and paper to decipher the game. Which is great. Well done. Honestly, for me the sound design didn't really match, and I had to lower the volume. Although, imo Signal is different than sign :smirk:

The Lighthouse by Erk 2026-04-21T12:36:58Z

Yeah- very simplistic mechanic that works very well. Good job. Imo, that is a great structure for rogue lite mechanics with upgrades that improve your loadout to keep up with the game that is getting harder and harder.

Beat the signal by Avzgui 2026-04-21T09:47:23Z

Hey! We somehow got the same visual interpretation of signal, i.e. an ECG  Suggestion: Add dynamic music that speeds up as your combo score increases and the signal rate accelerates. Also, it lacks sound feedback with the space input in my opinion.

I invite you to test our entry, which is a very different representation of an ECG

Average League by N.O.X 2026-04-22T11:42:21Z

Very fun! Good interpretation of the theme! Good art to. The onboarding is a bit clunky at first but only few try to understand is ok for a jam game. Great job :)

Kuiper Space Rescue by Saering 2026-04-20T14:17:53Z

There are so many little graphic details that make the game great. I feel the sound design a little oppressing imo. I'll definitely recommend your game to other jammers!

UPLiNK Defender by Logic Monkey 2026-04-23T12:21:23Z

Good base defense / survivor-like game. The level-up system doesn’t seem to work, and upgrades neither. The controls are smooth, and I like the graphics.

A small onboarding improvement could be to invite the player to move in a direction using an alert indicator on the edge of the screen.

Good job! Nice game!

Signal Defender by noneegy 2026-04-21T17:02:31Z

Hey! I loved the game! Felt like old school towerdefense. Still look like an early prototype with placeholders, but the gameplay is fun. (maybe a little too easy at this stage).

Lights of the Living Dead by Madbarron 2026-04-21T17:30:51Z

When I launched the game for the first time, I was like, "Omg, what a great sadistic Machiavellian idea!" It reminded me of Need for Speed 3 where you have to cause the worst car pile-up possible. For now, it feels like it's too easy to just turn all light green and watch them crash. Am I right? Great art direction overall, well done!

MEGAHONK by kuviman 2026-04-22T22:40:59Z

Loved it! A simple formula, but well executed with a fresh idea. It was a few fun rides! Good job!

Add some craziness to the loop (dash, nitro, ULTRAhonk...), and I think I could play it for a few hours.

Coo-Coo, Chef! by poboy 2026-04-21T22:09:54Z

I don't understand everything... But i laughed and had fun :D Really good one!

Holy Light by Tvorojok 2026-04-23T14:40:38Z

Damn, I got goosebumps from the Banner of Saga vibes! Looking at the pictures, I immediately felt like trying it. I could watch those people wandering the pixel art landscape for hours. Yet, I would prefer it to be on auto-walk, to be honest.

The monochrome battle scene is very stylish. I really liked the mechanics. Well done on the exclamation mark. Overall, it feels like the outcome of the scene is the same whether you're good at it or not, which is awesome, and I keep wondering how you managed to do that.

The end totally nailed it. Imo, you found the best way to end a proof-of-concept gamejam prototype with a funny surprise.

Bravo to the team!

To walk on Strange Roads? by alyd asmar 2026-04-22T16:48:00Z

The concept is really great ! It took me quite a while to figure out how to play the game. So I think a visual tutorial would be great to understand the light the light on the pad.

Panic! at the C.I.A. by antbrl 2026-04-21T15:31:40Z

This game is an alien. So bizarre that makes it great. At first I had a hard time figuring out what to do, and then I remembered the title and all made sense. Still too many quirks I don't get to appreciate at its right value. Well done anyway!

packet_loss by NikaZ 2026-04-22T16:13:38Z

Well done ! the art style is lovely, the gameplay is simple but fun. With even more upgrades and differents files, I could see myself play it for hours

Hijack Waves by JuanRod707 2026-04-22T11:56:28Z

Nice tactical game, i don't understand everything as often in tacticals (for me ahah) but the graphics and audio are really cool.

Man On Fire by debugman18 2026-04-22T20:42:06Z

Fun game, i don't understand everything but... I burn everything :D

Captain Distress by HexStart 2026-04-21T15:22:51Z

It feels like a golf game, haha. Nice one! Middle mouse click doesn't work well with logitech MX2S because it is mechanically tied to scroll wheel. I need to change the binding to play your game. Great entry though, well done.

Fading Echo 余音轨迹 by JerryWest 2026-04-23T10:05:30Z

Cool game! Clever idea and nice design. I'm bad at plateformers but i can enjoy it ahah! The sound design is charming and the graphics are good.

Loved it!

Warning about your itch.io page, it sent me to a dead end. Just so you know :)

hehe,cars by Neandi 2026-04-21T21:44:28Z

Nice one! Love the cluncky graphics and gameplay, it's work very well!

Shroomice by Lizz 2026-04-22T22:29:11Z

I dabi'jump in the shroom mobile and it was great, thank dabiyou!

Federal Bureau of Dance by drainkid 2026-04-20T23:32:48Z

Hello! FIY, I can't execute the MACOS build. Here is the error message: “Federal Bureau of Dance” can’t be opened because Apple cannot check it for malicious software"

Per Signum by apoly 2026-04-22T20:32:26Z

I'm in! I love the concept of mixing deckbuilding, territory expansion, and tower defense. Give me more, please! :D

To try to be constructive, maybe you could make the start clearer with more distinct options and choices. Giving the player a first major objective (get the blue crystal?) and marking it on the map could help provide some context.

Thanks for the ride, I had a lot of fun!

oops, wrong alien by aniretti 2026-04-21T22:18:25Z

Really fun concept on the signal theme. I love the graphics! Good job

Mission: Stop Transmission by ZedGame 2026-04-21T09:14:57Z

You made me do math homework; 10/10 would recommend it!

Untroubled Bliss by Gamayun.Games 2026-04-21T09:34:47Z

Hi there, I got two different endings. Nice entry. You made me discover Twine. Out of curiosity, does it allow adding content with the dialogue? I must admit I had hard time staying in the game and reading 'til the end without graphic and sound content.

From the Abyss by Megurt 2026-04-23T21:15:26Z

Nice mood! The audio and visuals create a smooth and pleasant experience. The gameplay is solid.

Maybe clearer wording for the upgrades, or a better onboarding flow explaining the different ways to regain fuel, or a better difference between red and green signals (not just color, like a warning sign on the red) could help players understand things more quickly.

But hey, those are small details that are hard to fully polish in a 48-hour jam, so I’m only mentioning them in a constructive spirit.

Thank you for the game it was fun to play :)

Pulse-8 by Jacky San 2026-04-21T21:19:15Z

Really cool timed puzzle/reflexion game! Nice pixel art, smooth gameplay. Good job!

Beat the Signal by Fassenberg 2026-04-22T13:36:45Z

So cool! Great tutorial, simple controles, good juice, fun gameplay!

Bit-Box by LeTabouret 2026-04-21T11:59:03Z

I agree with everything @sirlich just said. The game is pretty hard to play for me at this state. Very cool concept though. Nice entry!

Beakon Fire by Longfall 2026-04-22T16:53:21Z

Super cute! Just missing a progression bar, but the gameplay and sound design are great. well done !

Among Six by nOuChi 2026-04-22T13:45:13Z

Great-looking game. The mechanics were a little confusing at first, but I figured them out after a few tries. I had a great time playing it. Great job!

BPM - Bionica Pro Mortis by FLOWERFIELD Games 2026-04-20T23:06:53Z

Guys, the game is online. Enjoy and share your feedbacks! (and score  )

BPM - Bionica Pro Mortis by FLOWERFIELD Games 2026-04-21T09:39:41Z

Hey, thanks for the sincere feedback! Character's animations are almost instant, so you can press both parry and strike at the same time, they would work if the input is detected in the window of the signal. Actually, if you randomly press actions and fail, they would go on cooldown and you might miss the next one or two inputs (depending on the pace of the combat you're on). Thanks for playing! We plan to add more variations and interactions if this prototype is to your liking :v:

BPM - Bionica Pro Mortis by FLOWERFIELD Games 2026-04-21T14:40:43Z

@pavlo, do you get this error on the web version on itch.io?

BPM - Bionica Pro Mortis by FLOWERFIELD Games 2026-04-21T14:49:25Z

@alex-o @ekopeko thank you very much!

@aashen, without a gamepad, you can still enjoy it with the main controls on the mouse, but you get limited access to the critical mechanics, which were kind of a pain in the ass to design for the keyboard. Any suggestion about a better binding?

About the movement. Well, at first we were designing a versus fighting game, but with the first prototype we realize the signal was useless, so we pivoted and looked for something more about rhythm where the signal is th main character

BPM - Bionica Pro Mortis by FLOWERFIELD Games 2026-04-22T12:16:01Z

@xiao-duye, @danibeve, thank you guys

@artur-hawkwing, great reference that we had no idea it even exists! thanks for the feedback!

BPM - Bionica Pro Mortis by FLOWERFIELD Games 2026-04-22T12:17:48Z

For everyone having issues with the **_invalid binary data file size error_**, I suggest you download and try the .exe version. Some of our assest are very heavy and we didn't have time to optimize it for the web version.

BPM - Bionica Pro Mortis by FLOWERFIELD Games 2026-04-22T17:40:30Z

@pavlo04 Thanks for the feedback. Yes, unfortunatly, we rushed the settings at the end and realise after publishing that it didn't work. sorry for you're ears :grimacing:

@el-chivo-vivo Good one! In another universe this game would have a leaderboard so you could compete against other players score! One player just got 127 552 points :scream:

BPM - Bionica Pro Mortis by FLOWERFIELD Games 2026-04-25T17:11:14Z

@irkar, great job! Thank you all, we're so happy you like it.

Mayday - Keep the signal alive by UnrestStudio 2026-04-22T12:32:24Z

Hey! I really like the way you're trying to tell a story through different stylish screens and mini-games. The overall pixel art is great, and the sound design fits well! Although I find some texts are a bit off and difficult to read.

I got a bug in the last minigame where I was stuck; I just spammed a dozen of time _rescue_ and _back_ on the right signal, and it worked.

Nice entry overall, good job! :v:

Harmonic by Whiteowl4399 2026-04-22T16:17:32Z

My head hurt with all this math. What an original concept ! Good job.

Wavelatro by ForsakenAginor 2026-04-21T13:06:39Z

Doesn't feel really innovative for me. But damn, it's so polished. Everything holds together just fine. The sound design is neat. And the old screen monitor aspect is perfect. Great entry!

Signal Keeper by IndiePanda 2026-04-22T12:17:30Z

Nice puzzle/enigma game. The graphics are good, and the different stages are fun to discover. Maybe the puzzles are a little easy to solve, but it’s not a big deal. Great job!

ECHOMAZE by pipetto 2026-04-23T09:52:02Z

Nice blind maze concept! I like the simple mechanics, and the graphics are good, the color indicatior around the character is a great design idea. For me, what’s missing is a growing sense of time pressure. I think the sound should become more and more dramatic to build emotional tension throughout the journey.

Anyway, great job!

Air Signal by MicleFirst 2026-04-22T13:59:58Z

Stunning game art! What an impressive first entry! Congratulations!

Glitched Signal by Jamope_ 2026-04-21T12:46:45Z

Web version seems to be stuck in the loading screen on Ludum dare website. So I played on itch.io. Great mood. You lost me in the fighting of 3 running enemies (a bit stressful while playing with a touchpad ). I suggest you had some visual or sound feedback when the enemy is about to touch you and you're about to die (is it a oneshot?). I found myself surprised to die sometimes. overall, very great job!

Monitor Maze by awdsasdaw 2026-04-22T20:50:48Z

Really good job! top-notch graphics, nice sound design, and smooth gameplay.

Drum`n`Ice by PepeBrante 2026-04-22T08:20:25Z

Hey! The game is difficult to play for me due to keybindings on the keyboard that are not qwerty. Do you still use the legacy input manager of Unity? Otherwise, the new input system should detect the keycode and replace "W" by any key that takes this position on a foreign keyboard.

Great interpretation of the signal theme otherwise. I like the progression system!

The toothpaste attack by Flame017 2026-04-25T17:13:45Z

I'm laughing out loud! I actually suggested this idea during our brainstorm session, and you actually did it. Very funny!

MAYDAY by Viktor Kovachev 2026-04-22T12:51:28Z

This is so great! I'm having hard time to shoot with the touchpad. I'll try it later on the desktop computer. The overall art direction is nice and funny! I love it--
