so many functions!! looks just like a real computer desktop with really cool style! little godot is soooo cute. surprised that admin can respond! almost my favorite one in this jam!!!all five stars!!
This is super impressive! The vibes are immaculate, congrats!
You made me do math homework; 10/10 would recommend it!
All the little things to explore were lots of fun! Admin apparently does not need my help, i swear im a great programmer :(
This is what i imagine call center scammers feel like when they try to trick someone with a non-windows computer. Only change i would make to the game is to auto open objectives on start up. Great job all around, the level of functionality here is crazy!
Goddamnn I love the vibe sooo much
screen.png this game should be in the top 10 for atmosphere. made very high quality, nice sounds and music. good job!
I really like desktop environments inside games and I would say you've done a fine job; it feels nicely polished and thoroughly thought. I specifically liked the text environments (notepad and terminal) with all the keyboard shortcuts working such as copy/paste, ctrl to move the caret around, delete multiple characters at once etc. I don't remember seeing this much detail, and it is especially impressive considering this is a three-day game jam.
I did not encounter any bugs, aside from notepad counting non-character key presses as characters typed in--but that's not really breaking anything--and I was hoping for a cat picture at cats.com :D lol. I would overall say that the OS was fun to explore (and I think that's the most important part) with a decent amount of things to do and fun mini-games.
Also, it would be really cool to take a look at the project source to see how you've done things, if you plan on sharing it.
A completely unexpected gem!! The visuals are beautiful, and the variety of minigames is really fun (except for Packet Router… that brought back some traumatic memories hahaha )
The aesthetic is a 10/10, sound design is great, and the minigames are engaging while still being easy to understand
Congratulations, this is a wonderful game!!
England password is screwing me over, tried l, I and | and it still fails, what do I do?
@red-horde-games, hi are you sure you typed it in correctly? did you use 9 for 'g' character?
It worked finally with "L", beaten the game. Excellent game, beatiful art and execution. Enjoyed.
Cool) The icon on my desktop background really worked! The music and graphics go well together. I didn't immediately understand what to do, but it's fun to watch.
a lot of work has been done
Cleared! Took me a bit to find the admin password, because when I opened the objectives panel I immediately moved it to the corner of the screen and didn't realize it was blocking the trash. Oops. Figured it out eventually though. Cool game!!!
It was a very visually coherent experience indeed. And the sounds were nice too. Having a bunch of smaller mini-games/challenges is also a very good structure. But I do have some opinions. First of all, I feel like some of them are just thrown in without much world building sense. At least to me. Especially the math homework? It gets me really wondering who the subject in the story is. Then I also got confused by the packet sending mini-game. I got passed it without ever figuring out what indicated where it needed to go. And sometimes packet got lost without any apparent reason. But the big offender was the 500 clicks game. That meant there was no way I was playing the game to the end. I would have probably done 50, even though that's too much for me from an accessibility stand-point. That also made me less inclined to attempt the other tasks where I got stuck.
I did enjoy writing a little story and the wave surfer mini-game was interesting.

i loooooooooooooove the visuals and sound design!!!
The visual style is so striking! You really nailed the nostalgic 90s computer OS vibe. Also, having the Godot Engine icon right on the desktop is a hilarious and brilliant meta touch. The whole aesthetic is super immersive. Great job!
it's a cool visual, but at first, it was unclear where to click and what the goal was(((
This game is incredible. Everything works soo well... It reminds me of WTTG game series and to be honest this is so lit. Love it <3
OMG such a cool game!!I really love your musci
Love this. Aesthetics, soundtrack, gamefeel and gameplay are speaking to me. It was a bit tricky to trick Admin, but I figured this out. Great stuff, thank you!
Absolutely adored this!
the amount of detail and content is so impressive I don't know how you did all this in just 3 days. All the objectives were awesome and I really liked how though their design they encouraged me to explore every part of the OS
you nailed the feel perfectly the artstyle and feel of this game is simply just chef's kiss, this is my favorite entry so far!!
So viby game! If webcore aethtetic was a game -- it was your game? good job!
I love the graphics, the musics and the old computers vibe. Great job!
Ahh this is so good. Awesome graphics and sounds and whole thing is just so much fun to tinker around. I love fake OS games and this one was executed so well.
Great, work, the passcrk made me very angry

But when it comes to minigames - wave was the highlight. The clicker was a pain and I think an easy fix would be turning it to idle clicker - so like after 10 clicks you can buy an upgrade that would click for you so in the meantime you could do other tasks.
It's very impressive how much diverse stuff you were able to implement in such a short time.
Looks beautiful, I love how it felt like a real OS that I can explore and play around in. The general vibe was so good, I would like the minigames to be more thought out, but I get its a game jam:
I like little simulated computers like that, its always fun to explore.
A very impressive game — the amount of work put into it is remarkable and truly deserves respect. What’s even more important is that it’s done with great quality. I’m genuinely impressed. I honestly don’t know what could be improved. Wishing you the best of luck in the future!!!
This is probably my the most favorite entry I've played so far! It looks beautiful, but most importantly, it's super polished and chock-full of amazing humor and references for us, chronically online people. Super fun to play and to figure out all tasks, but at the same time, you won't get stuck with any objective.
Typing with admin and coworker was the first thing this week that managed to genuinely make me laugh, well done! Though I was kinda sad that this didn't work:

Otherwise, there's not much to nitpick, though I would welcome if opening notepad or terminal would autofocus the cursor so that you could write right away, but that's absolutely negligible. Well done, if this doesn't win in at least some categories, then we have collectively failed.
I really liked this one, the art is cool, the music is nice, and the whole game was interesting. Well done!
@local-minimum
Thanks so much for the in depth review and playthrough, it was a highlight of our day! Some notes regarding your feedback:
- For the subject of the story, fair point, to be fair we prioritized variety and easter eggs over having completely coherent worldbuilding. - As others have also said, perhaps the objectives could be opened from the get go for clarity. To clarify, we didn't have the time for a fully branching chat system, so the admin always sounds doubtful before the final response. - We're working on leaving some worldbuilding hints here and there to make the chat less of a guesswork. - The router game needs more visual feedback to make it clearer what you're supposed to do. And there perhaps were some bugs that need to be squashed. - Getpass in the terminal is a dummy command that does nothing - it's a play on the idea that having a command that reveals your password would be ridiculous. But perhaps it just ended up adding to the confusion? Passcrk could also use a progress indicator I suppose. And the unlocking of the terminal should actually unlock more stuff to make sense as to why you would do it. - Sorry for your experience with the packet clicker! You're right about the accessibility. We should have included an option for upgrades and passive income to turn it more into an idler to run in the background. We'll work on it for a post jam version definitely. - Unfortunately, while you werer typing the passwords into the admin login screen, the text input unfocused at some point, making you think all of them didn't work. Rest assured, one of them was the correct one.
Thanks again for playing and the kind, but honest when needed, feedback!
@dzejpi
Thanks for the kind words and good feedback! As for the "1000 characters", we're implementing it asap, lmao.
GREAT MOOD!!!
Very creative game!
So many little mini games and really impressive mood. So much to explore!
This is such a fun game. The visuals look just like a real operating system, and it genuinely leaves you a little flustered while playing haha. It’s packed with strong vaporwave aesthetics in both art and music, delivering an incredibly immersive experience!
Well-made game, good job Pumpkin
Cute game, great vibes. The little sine-wave minigame was probably the best sine-wave based game I've seen this entire jam (and there were lots), that could have been the whole entry on its own! And yeah, 500 clicks is way too much. Aside from just being annoying that would actually trigger my wrist RSI and cause physical pain
An amazing game that deserves to be in the top!

I can tell, you managed to build OS in 3 days better than Microsoft did in 30 years. So many minigames, amazing graphics, I like it :v:
As already mentioned by some folks, the grinding tasks seem to be way too tedious, but otherwise it is hypergood. Also *typing 1k signs to notepad* task crashed my game when I tried to do it the copy-paste way. Maybe if the clicker and notepad tasks were ten times shorter the game would be better. But overall, amazing project both visually and gameplay wise.
Nice and funny game Attention to detail and ammount of activities are really good Nice game!
Wow, so many features you've added to this Desktop! I like how you implemented the theme in multiple ways, with the Wave Tracker and Packet Router minigames and the overall story
Funny game with nice graphics.) I like it!

So funny and good mood game ! I had a lot of fun
Image uploading seems to be broken, but I completed all the tasks, I swear! It turned out to be a pretty cool clicker quest
Got it! Very smooth looking visuals as weel as UX, I had much fun exploring the OS. Amount of things I could relate to was at pretty much every corner. Puzzles were cleverly integrated to the setting, well done :D mission_stop_transmision.png
