The start button does not work for me :(
@AntzTAKEOVER Thanks for telling us, it's fixed now!
Just played it! I thought it was a really neat idea and was super fun! It took some time figuring everything out but in the end it was really satisfactory. Can't wait to play the next levels! My only suggestion would be to make the jump duration controllable - if I hold down space I jump further.
So the concept is fun, I got a bit annoyed not being able to move much while jumping or jump higher if I hold it longer. But de movement and camera look also sound effects were nice and the graphics of course. so 4/5 great job. If you would like to check out my game too :v:
Awesome humor and graphics i have to say, like the concept, hope you will keep on developing the levels because it was fun :)
Cool idea for a game, like the style and graphics. I felt like the controls were a bit too floaty and it was difficult to guide the player
@fidrik thanks for the feedback, I'll try to improve this "floaty" behavior!
I like the robot design. when I hit the mech the first time my camera locked. Interesting idea
The Jam version didn't work for me, but I managed to play an updated one. Let's start with music! It matches the sci-fi setting nicely and adds suspense. Robot designs are great too, and the style of graphics reminds me of Avara, which was a great game at the time. Presentation is great, especially for the first Jam! The gameplay could be so much nicer with better physics. Jumping is floaty and very difficult, maybe it's the low gravity planet or something, but it is not satisfying at all. Running isn't much better than jumping. I believe that in a game about running and jumping these two activities should be fine-tuned. If you can do that, I think players will be able to take on many robots at once with better physics, and it would be lots of fun!
So first, i love the postcards between levels and the lowpoly scenarios are also a strong point. The idea for naming levels is pretty fun too. Unfortunately gameplay is too raw, control is difficult, there is no feedback when losing health and death is so imminent that is difficult to know why. Since the player has no weapons and he just need to jump to the back of the robot, the game is then a platformer, and so the scenario and movement should act together to enhance that quality of the game. It took a couple of tries but I finally could beat the second robot!
It's hard to jump on the robot.
I really like the idea of having to sneak around the robot and jump on its back. Unfortunately I couldn't really figure out how to do that for the robot after the tutorial level. I just kept dying near-instantly whenever I got close.
@sylvie Hey! Maybe you'd want to stay away from it a bit to observe its pattern ;) And then sneak out the right time as you said :)
@franciszek-pyrc The environment should be your ally in this task!
Thanks for your feedback everyone.
Congrats, well done.
Creative storytelling. I defeated the robot in stealth xD
Some suggestions for improvement (I played the jam version). Put invisible barrier so you do not fall off the stage. Not all the area of the start button was clickable.
Maybe Large Indomitable Fury Extreme haha
Please, rate my game and leave some feedback too =]

I like the look and feel of this a lot and you came up with an interesting gameplay mechanic. If you develop this further (and it looks like you are), I'd recommend giving the player a bit more freedom in the air to hold jump for different heights and have some basic maneuverability in the air, even if it's just slowing down a tiny bit. I found that I kept overshooting the bots no matter how carefully I lined things up. That's definitely not a complaint against the Jam version, as fine tuning stuff like that usually gets sacrificed due to time constraints. I think you guys are on to something, and I hope the further development goes well.
Really lovely low-poly worlds and nice color palettes! Enjoyed playing for sure! :)
Cool game! Great job with the gameplay, story and visual. Congratulations to the team
I like the visuals in this game and the music is also very nice. It took a while to understand how to destroy the second robot but after realizing what I was supposed to do it was pretty easy. Only thing that I didn't like was that the robot could jump on the player and after that killing it would be very hard. Overall I think this is a good game with nice visuals, audio and mechanics.
I like it, jump feel a little floaty but else it's nice
Lol this made me laugh a couple of times. Got it after a couple of tries. Felt a little dizzy from the super sensitive mouse controls on the camera but otherwise fun mechanic. Blasted through that real LIFE with a sneaky run and jump from the rocks, FTW.
Very cool mech and nice game, thanks! :)
@tangiblegames @sylvie @miu @atmospherium @franciszek-pyrc @le-slo thanks for your feedbacks, I've just updated the player behavior to be less "floaty" and added an invincibility timer when you take damages, same url as before: https://eliiie.com/life/1.0/ :)

I wish I could change fov and mouse sens in game. And I've got a couple of wall/floor clippings.
Here is my playtest:

We need more boss-fight games for sure
Great aesthetics and humor, its a really cool world you get a sense of when you play it. Overall controls and physics were very finicky for me, so it was kind of hard to appreciate the encounter design. But I'd be very interested to play a polished, fleshed-out version of this concept. Good stuff!
Loved the graphics, gameplay could use more feedback though like when you lose health or successfully jump into a robot.
Nice game. I love the low poly graphics they are well done. Controls are a bit hard but after some practice they become easier.
The premise is definitely interesting, but it would have been nice to have had more enemies to fight. My only complaint was about the mouse sensitivity - it felt like it was flying around the screen - I had to reconfigure my mouse to be able to control this.
Other than that, I might have a few suggestions: 1) Add either a Killzone below the arenas, or invisible walls around the edge, because it's easy to fall off of the level and then get stuck falling forever. 2) The camera easily clips through walls when you get close to them. I'd highly recommend lower the near plane of the camera to something smaller, like 0.01, rather than the default .3 that Unity comes with. 3) Keep up the good work! It's nice to see other 3D FPS entries here at LD! I only wish there were more of us!

I played the original version. The start button doesn't really work very well. I clicked it 100 times and on the 100th click it worked!
Cool visuals, loved the mecha model. I never disabled a mech, but it looked really neat
(I played the jam version, didn't have any trouble with the start button)
I found this game pretty fun and the music is super cool! It was quite difficult though and I didn't really manage to beat any robots.
@goosyberry @cheesepencil I wrote some tips in the game description on this page.
Thank you everyone for your comments and advices!
This is a pretty cool game!! Was the first level inverted on purpose or was that a camera bug?? It's really hard to realize what was going on!. I really like the premise of one shotting a boss, and better with a mario-like mechanic. Of course the game needs some improvements, it's a jam!! but the main idea of it is cool. Reminds me of titan souls, where you one shot bosses and they one-shot you, the whole fun of the game is to create the opportunity of that one shot. I think you have a really solid concept. Congrats on your game!!
Interesting concept, very good graphics. Good fun gameplay loop.
Simple and funny idea, loved humour in text and mood u gave some elements. I played it in HTML5 and some movements seems a bit bugged. Keep on and great job!
Pretty neat game, I like the visuals and audio a lot, and the concept would be interesting for a game with more levels. Pretty good job!
The camera doesn't check if it goes beyond 90° vertically, so you can accidentally flip it upside down - that's probably the issue @webox encountered.
The concept of the game is really great ^^ I had fun putting the lifes down but it also wasn't very hard :D The controls are very buggy :c I was sinking in to the ground ._. But the music and graphics were really well done ^^ Good job on this game :D It has a lot of potential
Nice concept for a game. I really liked the low poly visuals as well as the posters in the middle describing the enemy. The music was great and sound effects worked like they should. I had minor problems with camera clipping through walls and the floor and the way the robot faces you even though you are on top of it makes some funny moments. The jam version had a bit of a floaty feel to the movement where as the post jam version had a more of a constrained and tighter movement to it.
All-in-all very neat concept with pretty good execution.
The presentation of the game is great, i really enjoyed the introduction of the levels and enemies, that said, the controls are a bit clunky and I felt I was glitching through the geometry a lot of the time. If the gameplay is polished some more and add more content this game would be pretty awesome!
Good job and keep up the hard work!
@jaywoody @drskort @pequenodev @webox @fear-games @multiplexor Thank you everyone for your comments :)
@chameleon Must be that. Thanks for pointing it out.
I feel like I may have enjoyed this, it looked pretty cool - but it was really difficult to control for me. The collision on the scenary seemed buggy, I found myself inside rocks and things fairly often. The whole of the first level started out upside-down and took me a while to get it to sort itself out.
I have to agree with some of the other comments: the play control doesn't feel tight enough. And I experienced GaryS's problem of starting out upside down. (I'd recommend locking the camera's orientation to the player and limiting how far up and down you can go.) But I definitely see some potential here.
Nice level design in that second level, but yeh as others have mentioned a bit more time spent on controls would be cool, I started out a bit disorientated but eventually worked it out!
Well, I gave this game a try but find it to be unplayable.
The mouse sensitivity is way too high. You should add a setting for it.
Running up a skewed object makes me jitter around. Try standing on an object and only move a tiny bit. The view then jumps up and down.
The robot is either always facing me or tilts and falls on its back or side, then as I approach it, it suddenly stands upright again, without any transition.
The graphics are nice, I like the minimalistic look and feel. The background music is also fine.
Really nice environments, love the art overall. My camera did a lot of clipping with the ground, which was quite distracting. The LIFE bots were frustrating, in that they'd seem to instantly flip to face me while I was jumping toward their control panels. This could use some work. Overall physics could be improved to make it feel more visceral and action-y, since that's where the fun of the game is going to live.
Mouse sensitivity felt fine to me, I wonder if the issue others have had is based on screen pixel density or something. I've had similar issues developing for different mobile devices.
Like the introductions and overall presentation.
