@CalmKai Any particular reason why?
That has got to be the wackiest game I've played in all the jams I've done! In a good way, of course :D
Really liked the use of the different shapes. Great concept!
Really enjoyed the music! The game was a bit confusing at the start because of the lack of instructions. But after a bit, really enjoyable. Hoped to see a bit more use of the theme!
Great concept! The only problem I encountered was that often due to the dark background I couldn't make-out the next shape.
Pretty cool! Really enjoyed the concept but would've liked some more gameplay.
Quite the challenge initially but great game once you understand the game :D Good job!!
Great idea! But really needs some serious tweaking.
Also try adding some indicator to show which direction the player is pointing in.
:D
Really liked the art-style and music! Like others I did feel the camera was a bit stubborn at times.
Pretty good! The theme was pretty spooky! I played the Jam version so obviously some difficulties but good job.
Really great concept! Really needs some polishing though!
@tentacode Hey!
Just tried it out and it looks like everything is fine on my end!
I could only think of two reasons why its not working -
1) You might not have enough money(You require 30 gold to build and receive 5 gold for each enemy - Try clicking around the blue pedestals to place a tower).
2)You might not have selected a tower from the orange panel? (If you have one selected, it will be in color while the other towers would be black)
Note: Due to an oversight, one of the towers will be offscreen on some screen sizes. (Monitors above 20 inches should be fine.)
Cheers,
Ant.
Hey,
For anyone who has troubles downloading the Windows version from the drive, first hit 'Add to drive' and then from your drive you can download the entire folder in one go.
Thanks!
@retrogradeorbit I forgot to host the files so you can download the folder and launch the .html file. Also, any browser other than chrome will work.
@nihilaleph haha XD. Thanks for the input! The first art I made was the TARDIS so I didn't realize that I should've created it at a higher resolution and then scaled down resulting in the bad quality.
Haha yeah the game is still unbalanced as I had underestimated the amount of work that goes into making art so I didn't have a lot time to play-test. There were going to be unique towers but then again I ran out of time.
I'll be releasing the post-mortem soon so watch out for that! :D
Cool entry! It reminded me of super crate box as well! However I too can literally just stand somewhere and not do anything. The enemies barely do any damage to me.
For your first game however, good job!!
Haha! Great game! It was pretty fun but I couldn't really see any shapeshifting! :P
Haha full points for humor! Great idea!
The reaper left me hanging in the phone booth!! Haha but I really liked the story - the art and music was just amazing. The story was also really well written - I'd definitely play a longer version.
@soerenbachnielsen If you camp for too long the enemies start spawning on top of you!! Thank you for playing! :)
@randdir thank you for playing!
@caranha thank you so much for playing and for your feedback! It's super helpful!
The goal was to 'grind' enough in the arcade mode to beat the challenge mode but for sure, increasing their speed is a great idea!
Haha yea that's what I felt towards the end as well. At the beginning I was inspired by hotline miami art style but then it kind of dropped off towards the end.
Again, thank you for your suggestions! :)
@mia-devs thank you for playing! I'd love if you let me know what I can do to improve it!
@fat-cat thank you for your feedback and thank you for playing! Yeah that was something I was struggling to balance because the maps are randomly generated. Again, thank you!
@caspercaper17 thank you so much for playing! If you stay in the same place for too long, the enemies start spawning on top of you - its more like an anti-camp feature. Yeah unfortunately it ended up being a little slower paced than I wanted it to be. Again thank you for playing!
@vanleiden Haha thank you for playing!
@retti01 thank you for playing! Haha yeah I needed more time to balance the game properly. The spawning on top of you if you don't move for some time is a feature I inteded to make it a little more challenging. How would you like the spawning to be changed?
@enver-arco thank you for playing!
@pl4typus thank you so much for playing! Haha yeah this was my first time making my own music, definitely something I will have to improve for next time. There are a few bugs but hopefully it wasn't game breaking for you!
@geist-191 @nippaaah I really appreciate your feedback! Thank you for playing!
I really liked the graphics and art stye! The music worked really well too! The only problem I had was really understanding how the game worked and not just randomly placing stamps and hoping for the best. Apart from that it was really fun! (even though my highscore was like -$6)
This was a really cool game! I really liked the variations in the audio clips and the art was really nice. Overall it was really good!
Hahaha I really enjoyed this. Super interesting take on the theme and everything was just so cohesive. The game randomly quit a few times though :( but apart from that it was really smooth! I was waiting to see if adding too many humans ended up destroying the world but I never reached that part. Again solid game, thank you!
Loved this game! It felt really polished! The art was super nice and shooting felt really satisfactory. The variation in the enemies was also great to see!
Wow! Looks really good! Can't wait to play it!
Really cool!! Super fun once the game got going. The art style really fits the while .io theme as fun enough to play a couple of times at the least! My only suggestion would be to have a small array point towards the nearest enemy as I got lost a little at the beginning looking for some enemies.
This is a super cool concept and the graphics look super nice! Unfortunately it didn't scale properly to my screen and the persuade option was offscreen but apart from that it was pretty fun!
Really cool game! The music was super nice and that enough variation to make the game engaging for a while. I really liked the...uh...~whip mechanic~
My only suggestion would be to add a web build so people can play the game on the itch.io page without downloading it. Might help you get more ratings.
Hahaha I loved this take on the theme! It was a pretty fun game but could use a little more explanation. I'd love to play some more levels!
The art was super well done and the game felt really polished overall. The only 'cheat' I could find was when the enemies were chasing me they would stop at the barrier and I could just stand inside and kill them. But apart from that I felt it was a super game!
Really cool game! I really liked the shooting mechanic and I enjoyed the difficulty of the game. I was a little lost at the beginning before I found the cave entrance. Overall, I felt it was a really solid game for a jam!
I loved the art in this game! Really fun puzzle game and an interesting interpretation of the theme! My only suggestion would be to zoom the camera out a bit! Overall a really solid game!
Honestly, because you managed to make such solid mechanics in such a short amount of time, I think its a big win for you. I had a fun time playing it! The level designs was really good! I'm looking forward to more levels!!
I had a fun time playing this game! The tutorial was really well made and felt super polished. The combat system also felt very well done. The only problem I had was that the game needed to be a little more balanced in terms of the progression of the strength of the enemy. But otherwise it was great!
Really cool game! The attential to detail with the sails going up and you having to 'brake' before going onto an island was really cool! The fighting system was a bit repetitive because there wasn't much variation between the fights. Other than that I had a fun time!
Really cool game! The graphics were super nice and the small sphere world worked really well. The difficulty could be increased a little though! The camera mechanic was a little clunky but other than that it was great!
Just played it! I thought it was a really neat idea and was super fun! It took some time figuring everything out but in the end it was really satisfactory. Can't wait to play the next levels! My only suggestion would be to make the jump duration controllable - if I hold down space I jump further.
