Aw! At least you uploaded a thing. The level layout reminds me a bit of Super Crate Box. Perhaps that's what you were going for. Don't feel too bad.

For a first time game it is a really good try. One problem is that you can stand at the sides of the platforms. If you did it the way i believe you did you propably have one colition box to do the physics of the game or something like that. I believe you can improve and maybe next time make a much more and pleasant game experience. Also what was the objective of the game? You could literally stood at one position and just shoot forever. That said i really liked that you animated the bombs that mouse had that was a cool touch i am hoping to see your next projects. Cheers :)

Hi,

I wanted to create a game where you would have had to fight different kinds of enemies and swap the hero so that you can adapt to them.
@marmpa Yes, I couldn't make the platforms slippery

It just looks like you modified the Unity's 2D Example Project. Some things are exactly the same with that project.

At least you did something, and that's awesome!
That's a first try, you'll progress!
I hope to see you at next LD! ;)

Cool entry! It reminded me of super crate box as well! However I too can literally just stand somewhere and not do anything. The enemies barely do any damage to me.

For your first game however, good job!!

Good first try! It reminds me of my own game Weredude, which wasn't that great but it was very useful for learning about Unity.

Nice game!

wolves-direwolf 2016-04-30 16:08

Good job on what you were able to accomplish. keep working and learning! I can see this being a fun game had you been able to finish.

Since the link is to a zip containing a .exe and not to a webpage on which we can play the game, please relabel your download link "Windows" instead of "Web".

nice little game! Collisions between the rockets and the enemies would have been nice, so you could "air-rocket-shoot" them

bsoddevguild 2016-04-30 17:45

Not bad but it's lacking on gameplay stuff.

badia_r 2016-04-30 20:24

@gelisam Oups you're right, that's fixed!

Thank you all for your support! :)

I think you had something neat happening here!
The visuals are really nice- loved the water.
Would have obviously liked to see it finished, but you did great work and I hope you do more jams in the future!

Keep on working guys! A tutorial would help to understand what to do.

What you've got is nothing to sneeze at. For me, the main point of the competition is to force you to learn and try new things in a very short amount of time. If this is your first time making a game, you probably did that. Plus you have the beginnings of what could be the best mouse dragon platformer of our generation.
