I had fun trying to get the most overpowered upgrades, but I think I came across a bug (or a really overpowered upgrade). Every time you choose lightning fist, your lightning gets bigger. I picked it about 4 times, and my lightning was so big that I one-shot every room by cicking once. This then applied to other upgrades too, so my wind punching got really strong as well.
There were also a few issues with shooting not always going towards the mouse and the player getting stuck on walls. Overall I enjoyed messing around with the ugrades though.

Really dig the music. Even though it's short, it's really fitting to have heavy metal guitars playing, while you fighting goo monsters as some rando in a science lab :smile: Unfortunately, I stopped receiving damage after 7 or 8 waves (I played twice and noticed it at different times).

Nice game I think that the lighting are overpowered. I don't know how I do it but at a certain point (after wave 10) I don't get any damage from enemies, so I quit the game.

Fun game ! Not gonna say that the lightning power up is overpowered because other already said it but... it is ! :D

I had a bug when I played first time, my first map had me stuck in a tiny room, and when I quit and replayed, my character wasn't reponding at all.
Heyoo!! First of all wanna point out that the options tab wasn't working for me in the Main Menu, but worked in-game. So now to the review :D I think it's a nice old school idea, just defeating wawes of enemies. It was super satisfying to hit the enemies when they came in stacks. I think the game could've been a bit harder OR THEN I'M JUST A NATURAL BORN GAMERRRR. Music fit the game just fine, and the I found it very funny how some stuff said like "Much wow" xDDD Animations weren't the greatest if I was moving left or right at the same time as moving down, but good enough for a LD game. Nice job guys :)
@raffe Haha thanks a lot! Your enthusiasm is contagious :D We're really glad you liked our game. Yeah, it was our first jam together, we turned one of our programmers into both an artist and a musician, and he also wrote the pathfinding and a bunch of other things while teaching us Unity (thank god we all had either solid dev experience and/or gamedev skills)! First of all, you have good taste in music \m/
The graphics are cute, but the style seems to be a bit random at times. Why is there a stalin poster on the wall? The game has a few glitches that make it unplayable, for instance I got stuck because one of the enemies spawned outside of the map and I could not kill it: Screenshot_27.png
And holy hell you guys need to seriously balance this game better, because by wave 5 I was intakilling everything in the map with Lightning Fist. Made it ridiculously easy.
Anyway, nice work overall.
I had a lot of fun playing this! The artstyle fits really nice with the sounds. I escpecially like the retro vibe of the walk and hit animations. Hats off to you for implementing your own A* algorithm. I tried it too, a few years back in gamemaker and I know the struggle. :D I found the gameplay overall to be pretty neat and fun, but the balancing is a bit weird. After a few waves I got the lightning fists and with that I killed everything with one hit. I got to level 50 after killing everything in the first second and was unkillable at this point. The enemies wouldn't hurt me anymore. Maybe because of the shield upgrades. ^^

You know, despite the simpler aesthetics, the details that are there really make the mood for me. Of course, the music made it 10x better. It's like the opposite of my own game (subtle shill).
I think it's great that you experimented and learned something in doing this, that's one of the best parts of Ludum Dare!
