This reminds me of papers please! You did a really great job. Well done. The graphics and the audio were really nice. I did find a lot of the documentation funny :D

Very humorous take on an existing concept. I loved the variety of weirdos and messages, got a couple laughs out of me. The sounds fit the game nicely, and it was very satisfying stamping DENIED DENIED.
I got stuck when i got to the birthday stage, I wasn't getting anyone from the three approved religions. Also i forgot one of them halfway through, would be nice to have previous instructions available.
Otherwise, a very enjoyable game! I'm just disappointed that the one cultist didn't thank me for the flower he/it asked for :((
It never became clear to me while playing it whether or not my bureaucratic malfeasance was ever going to have consequences. That and I really found myself entirely glued to my desk never even looking at anybody. Engaging nonetheless!
Great and polished game! I'm not a gamedesigner, but will try to give you a feedback as a player. For me it became quite repetative and boring fast, despite having jokes, unexpected blanks and changing requirements for approval. I have only short purpose as a player: to approve or decline a person. I don't see how many people will come, how much time I have till the day ends. No meta-mechanics like managing something in-between working days, etc. On the other hand, I understand that this is jam with really harsh limited time, so you probably just couldn't do it in time and have it polished. Also, probably I missed something cause I haven't played it through. Overall, I really don't critize you, I just share some ideas, if you haven't noticed them. Thank you for your submission!
Very stylish game. As my predecessor already said, its very reminiscent of "Papers, please" but not a in a bad way. The graphics are fantastic, the music works and the game is chill and entertaining. Best one I have played so far.
I was a bit confused as to whether the requests on who to accept or deny lasted for the entire game, or just for the day. Are there multiple endings, or you you die no matter what you do?
The overall ending does not change no matter what, seing as we tried to stick with the idea of delay the inevitable and all that, but and I am not sure how many people have noticed, under the instructions your boss leaves some personal notes, which change depending on how you perform. Not sure if the text made it clear enough or if nobody ever tried looking under the instructions but its there. There is also some other minor things that change such as the requests you get on a floowing day and stuff. But it all leads to the same place and might have been to subtle for its own good.
Still really gald you people all enjoy the game as much as you do =D
Very funny game - the idea of bureaucracy getting in the way of summoning the old gods is really charming.
This game had a very cool asthetic with it's characters but I felt the writing was a bit one dimentioal even with a few gags. Also the drop and right click controls made it feel very janky on my trackpad. The Religions could have been more unified towards specefic goals,so your choices had more weight. I dunno I just feel like the idea didn't get fleshed out no offense,
WHOA ! a lot of imagination, I laughed a lot and had very fun so thank you. Good job !
Love the theme, always cool to see bureaucracy mixed with a supernatural setting. The second screenshot really sells what I liked about the gameplay, the physicality of the props was great and it's fun to just deny the hell out of a form. I agree with the comments saying the consequences of your actions and long-term goals are a bit unclear, but it's of course understandable when made on such a short timeframe and the second-to-second gameplay is fun!
Really good looking game. I kinda wish the stamp did some movement when used, but that's just details.
Graphics were great, some really cool art work. Feel like it was missing an element in game play, maybe speeding up or a way to fail. But overall really great game
This was a great submission. The art, audio, and gameplay was pretty fun. I do wish my choices had more of an effect on the story though. I couldn't tell if there were multiple endings or the same thing would happen no matter what. I feel like you had too much fun writing all the text on the papers. Some of them were really funny. If you made the gameplay a bit more in-depth, I feel like this could make for a great dystopian desk job game!
Nice game. I wish my choices would have more impact though.
But still a great entry! ~~I approve~~

Your mom coming in and leaving notes for you was really amusing. Also the "Do you like me?" Good stuff!
Nice lookin chilly game! But, as sayin in preveious comments, I wish I could see the result of my incorrect actions and stamps and all that stuff :smirk_cat: wanna see me punished for bad work haha. Anyway, thanks for the game, nice entry!
Very fun and chill game. I got no clue if i made any errors. Some ingame feedback would've been great. Well done :)
Good humor (also bit politic ^^)
I would have like that an transition would be a bit faster because at the end it become a bit boring to wait for the paper to arrive.
Inspired by Papers, Please, huh? *-satisfied printer noises-*
I really quite enjoyed this, even if towards the end it was evident all I really had to do was reject everything that came my way. I mean...assuming 1. the part about "only accept forms from these cults" applied to all subsequent days and 2. "Preystianity" (as opposed to "Praystianity") was this game's version of "Cobrastan." (If not, sorry to all those cultists I wrongfully rejected!)
The final ending pic was cute, too. Dying's not so bad if I get to look at that. XD
If I have ONE issue it's that the "click to drag item, right-click to use it" mechanic felt a little clumsy. I think I would've preferred it if you simply clicked and dragged to use the tool, and the tool returned to its original position afterward.
Nice game, looks like you have been inspired by papers please))
it feels so good to stamp that I ended up perhaps playing too much with it in the start of the game and it won't start anymore by stamping the start

love the characters that pass by, I think the graphics work very well with the mood! reading their forms also made me chuckle. I just wasn't sure of my progress as I was playing for the first time - was I doing good or not and how long would the queue go on for.
@velvetlobster We had a couple of people having similar problems. What you need to do is drag the stamped Start game paper over the counter. Naturally you couldnt have known that since you stamped over the instructions. Try it out, hopefully the game will become even more fun then. =D
The game was pretty fun, although i found some problems that made it harder to enjoy. Mainly it was that there is no indication on how many people are left in the round, or how much time is left. Because of that for some time i wasn't sure if i can just calmly read all of the entries, or speedrun them as was the case in Papers Please. Other than that i feel the game was nice, and has a lot of potential
Nice game. If that's how a cult would operate in the year 3001, the Central Bureaucracy would deny the end of the world as we know it.
Finished the game. Felt like it was a mix of “papers please” and some “cultist simulator” vibe. Nice overall, but the lack of visible consequences of your choices disappointed me a little. Liked some request textes a lot!
lovely but I cant shake the feeling that my decisions arent all that impactful, a deeply felt hit to my bureaucratic heart and paper pusher soul .. jokes aside this is really polished for a jam. Its round and offers all sorts of ways to be expanded. maybe go on developing this one
This was really polished and fun and i must say i enjoyed this alot, i somewhat agree with some of the other comments about it being unclear if your decision's really had an impact on what happened in the game. I still played through it thrice just to make sure i got to read all there was. Good job!!!
Extremely polished game for a game jam. And a ton of content; that's a LOT of little notes to write. Very well done.
This is an interesting game! The stamping is so fun. I like the arts too, they look very smooth!
It's look like "Pappers please"/ I like it! So fun! Good job!
Cults are just a really good theme, aren't they? Cults + Papers Please is definitely a cool premise. As others have said, some direct feedback on whether what you did was at all right or wrong would have been nice. But the "hidden" notes by your boss are quite cool and giving some feedback that way is a great idea, just wish that was in addition to something else, not the only channel for feedback. The overall progression towards the end with increasingly more sinister notes and more non-human cultists was really well done, just some really good build-up. Also stamping and especially stapling things is just a fun thing to do. Accidently stapling my instructions to a document and giving them away was such a cool moment. Good job!
