Good survival! But game has lags when enemies so many
It was maybe a bit unclear what to do in the beginning especially if you choose shade as the first upgrade as it seemed all you could do was running around and try not the get hit with the monsters. I think it would have been more enjoyable with less enemies or with more powerful or faster upgrades also (at least in the beginning). Once you become more powerful it becomes funnier to play. I liked the weird setting and the pixel art was neat :)
My score is 965 ! I like the idea of the hordes of monsters that become overwhelming, it's super innovative but it works. I feel like the hitboxes of the attacks are not very clear, also if I take the same upgrade that I already have it doesn't change anything ? Overall the gameplay is not very polished or juicy, it's not clear when I lose health and what's my hitbox, but I think the concept it very nice it could have been a very fun game with more work! (No doubt you worked a lot already)
Feels like shade's the best way to go. It's tough at first but eventually the whole screen becomes a death zone, and enemies can't even touch you (that is until much later) But it does make the other options seem near useless by comparison. Ended with 17200 on the full shade run.
@kaldrin @kbf123 Thanks for the feedback! It's definitely missing a whole lotta polish. There's also a huge lack of explanation what the next upgrade is doing.
The upgrades alternate between increasing the damage and increasing the size/range of the attack.
The tears which drop gives one of the random effects below: - The size of all attacks - Increase the amount of projectiles thrown (only the high heel) - Increase how many monsters the projectile can pass through before despawning. (Again only the high heel...) - Give you a 1/4 of your exp bar - Nothing
I did definitely fall for trying to make too many mechanics which I had to bin as they weren't ready or tested enough with the time restrictions I had during the jam 🙂. Which ended in a half baked and confusing experience I'm sure 😅
Will definitely try keep it simpler and clearer next week time! 😁
It took me some time to figure out how it works but in the end it's quite fun :)
The game got pretty laggy from all the enemies. Pretty tough but it was a good game :)
Great concept! It's weird in the best way possible. It lacks a little polish, but overall it's a very fun game to play
good roguelike game, i think need more usabily skills
Pretty fun little game, obviously very inspired by something lol, but still fun. Nice artwork and aesthetic.
