I like it really cool!
Awesome that you were able to get so many different items in there. They all look very clean too, great job with the images!
@inferno @damijin
Thanks!
Nice game! Made fun to play it!
That's a really good idea for this topic. And the items are really *HARD* XD
Hi! Amazing game, cool physics btw, really polished. My score: 151 Thanks!
@sirjupitron - Was the really polished par sarcasm, because it's no really :D? Thanks for playing and thanks for the feed back!
Simple but good game! I feel like the items fall a bit too fast when you drop then, but I guess that increases the fun :smiley:
Cool game, I like how tight those hitboxes are. Minor nitpick: it says you lose when you drop more than 5 items, but you lose on the fifth.
@eaglev - Thanks, oh yeah, You are right!
@oadt - HARDCORE MODE
@madr In no way was sarcasm, why would it be? I'll extend my review: physics work like charm, I mean as every piece is expected to behave and that's a lot. You've made a really cool game, make peace with that, take the kind words and keep making to be better if that's what you want. You're entertaining a lot of people LOL! Thanks again for taking the time to make a game with kind of conditions and limitations, it not easy, take credit.
@sirjupitron Thanks You!
So coool !! I loved it ! I love when games invite us to create something and move objects like that, another thing I love is seing a slice of people's house, I know what your mugs look like and that makes me really happy (I recognise that this sentence is a little creepy creepy). Awesome game, well done !
@puree-adventure All good, was not creep creep! Thanks for the kind words!
Great minds think alike! Cool stuff! Hope you didn't run into as many physics bugs as we did :P <3
@koningmathijs - I did, I just didn't polish them out :spy:
That red shoe is a real wildcard, straight up punted a knife to the moon. Great job with the game! I had fun stacking things and it certainly lived up to the name!
Striking idea for the game jam theme, and very good use of 2D physics.
Nice idea. Was to much fun making it fall down in silly ways though :p.
Stacking things is a gameplay concept that never gets old. Who doesn't like Jenga?
What really impressed me about this, apart from the physics, is the sheer variety of stackable objects. Even on my second playthrough, I was still seeing new objects, and in my experience it's *really* rare to discover new things in a second playthrough of a Compo game. I presume these are actual photos of actual things in your house? That probably made it quicker to add them to the game, and the photorealism gives it a distinctive look, so good idea there.
The physics aren't perfect - on my second playthrough I swung a lamp(?) into the side of the tower and the game lagged like hell for a second while it worked out all the collisions - but they work well enough for a game of this kind, especially with such unwieldy objects. Good job!
Great game! I can finally live out my fantasy to drop ps5 controllers.
@f1krazy Thanks for the kind words! Yeah, those are items from my home. I knew about the collision bugs, but had no time to fix them since I had feaver and this was a 'low-effort' jam.
Why would someone pile up bananas and shoes? Funny ! I reached 141cm. Good game!
@sdelay This is what people used to do before internet :laughing:
Nice entry. Was harder than imagined : D Well done
Great game! i made three piles, two of retangular objects on the sides and one in the center with the complicated ones... didn't work... Between the drag and drop UIs of the jam, this one was the most well executed! Nice Job!
Its a pretty nice little game, the physics are a bit janky, but honestly i liked the way the graphics were handled, i think its really creative. while the physics weren't really polished the rest of the game felt like it was "just the right size"; the graphics, sound and gameplay didn't feel overscoped, which i think we all know is can be quite hard to achieve.
After getting the hang of it, it got a lot more fun! I like how the objects are completely random stuff, and the fact that you don't have to build a single pile of objects but you can "distribute" them on the table :)
We used to play a game in the pub like this, we called it Pub Chess. After several rounds of drinks and some food there'd be a lot of stuff to pile up, we took turns to find something from the table and add it to the structure, whoever knocked it over bought a round of shots. It was not popular with pub landlords.
Nice game! A nice simple concept that was well executed and fun to play (it took me a while to figure out where the objects I needed to drag were, although I think that was mainly because the first one I had was a keyboard so I thought it was just a picture to indicate controls :sweat_smile: ). Great job!
I like it! Like @jamie-slowgrove I thought the keyboard was there to indicate the controls at first :joy: it has a relaxing atmosphere which I appreciate. The graphics look good and are creative. One thing I found annoying was how the items would sometimes fall down like you expect and sometimes crash down like a meteor, destroying my whole tower :( overall though it was an enjoyable experience, well done!
