Level code template
``` V1|32x18x10x1|13,10|19,6|11,7,G0+10;11,8,G0+10;12,7,G0+10;13,7,G0+10;14,7,G0+10;15,4,G0+10;15,5,G0+10;15,6,G0+10;15,7,G0+10;15,8,G0+10;16,4,G0+10;16,9,G0+10;17,4,G0+10;17,9,G0+10;18,4,G0+10;18,9,G0+10;19,3,G0+10;19,4,G0+10;19,9,G0+10;20,3,G0+10;20,9,G0+5;21,3,G0+10;21,9,G0+5;22,3,G0+10;22,4,G0+10;22,5,G0+10;22,9,G0+5;23,9,G0+5;24,9,G0+5 ```
This is a custom level code.
To use this code, you need to press "P"(Paste) Button in right-top of Level Generator Scene.
Game has potential. More mechanics and levels would've been nice, but the level editor easily fixes that second issue.
@creepycatdev I spent so much time in the level creator that I didn't have time to add enemies.
tons of potential! The level editor is super polished-- I do feel like I would've loved having a few levels to thoroughly explore the possibilities of this idea though.
@untitled-studios
I spent two hours generating a game version of WebGL, but failed. No time to add more levels.
sad.
Reminds me of the old Mega Man levels from the NES (Though they probably have similar mechanics in the more recent titles). Took me a bit to understand what was going on, but I got there. The first level confused me since I thought I'd need to get on the platforms. Once I got used to things I found myself wanting more levels. Nice work!
It's an interesting game! The mechanic is cool and could be further explored. A shame there's only 2 levels though. I feel that more content would make the game waaaaaay better.
A level generator is a pretty impressive feat to accomplish during LD, and a good one at that. It's a pity you didn't have time to use it to make more levels!
R to restart doesn't seem to work when the player dies, but just hitting Escape to return to the main menu and reloading the level is also fine.
Cool game! With level editor included! It is very easy to understand how the walls are changing, providing information where they will appear. About the controls, I prefer space to jump. It is a pity that exe games like ours are not played. I suppose that people do not trust the exe files, and they prefer rating web based games :cry:
The level editor is a really cool addition
It's a nice game.. However the graphics can improve... I believe this has the potential to turn into a full game :)
Definitely one of the best concept I've seen in this jam. As has been said, I would have preferred more content over a level editor, this would have leave also a bit more time to polish the presentation. But you really have something cool in your hands at then of that weekend and that's all that matter, congrats !
@davidbradbury Thanks, I should add some enemy types. But time is not enough.
Very nice concept. For me it took a few attempts until i figured out what each tile texture meant. Nice entry!
I like the game idea about a platformer forming its blocks depending on time. Good job there. I was always stuck in the game when I reached the point of winning or losing the game. But exiting the game with "esc" works fine. Maybe for the next time make sure your R button always works in every state of your game :)
The level editor is very impressive. The graphics are basic but clear and easy to read. The game needs more levels but I can understand the limited time was spent on the level editor.
Nice game, interest gameplay...will be good to add some tutorial just into game
Very cool concept. It's clear as day you worked on the creator as it feels very polished. It has nice effects and the frame UI looks good. In levels I like the frame number in the background when actually playing levels.
After completing a level it would be helpful to get guidance to get out of the level, since ESC was not the first one I was trying. Either let the player know what to press or accept any key would be my suggestion.
Well done!
@coderaurus
thank you very much.
I'm taking lessons on how to make music, draw, etc. Hope to add Audio, Mood, Graphicr ratings to LDJam next time.
Cool concept for a platformer and great level editor!
_The default levels were a bit disappointing though... Were they just a proof-of-concept?_
A few more things do not work properly in the WebGL version, such as the restart button :sweat_smile:
