Really fun! Super stressful, this game is hard and fast, but in a great way. I love the sound design too, and the limited purple pallete

frizuo 2022-04-04 09:50

Nice! I like the simple graphics you got goin on, one thing I would change is the turn speed as it feels too slow right now which makes movement feel kinda mushy. Otherwise good job! (Not sure whether it was intentional but you misspelt lose lmao)

arfilish 2022-04-04 10:14

@frizuo this misspelt lose was unintentional ;) Thanks!

boc-dev 2022-04-04 10:48

couldn't get past the second level :( great music and look though

andy-beers 2022-04-04 15:19

Graphics and music are really fun, Theres a typo in the controls where it says WA and it should be WS. The game feels too difficult, I got past the second level but the 3rd feels impossible to me which is a bit frustrating because it's fun to play and i'd love to see the other levels. Movement is slightly weird to me, i think it might be easier with a typical WASD movement with ignoring the rotating/aiming, just my 2 cents. Great job! it is really fun!

atomicptr 2022-04-04 15:19

Looks cool, the controls are a bit weird but I enjoyed it overall!

damonwakes 2022-04-04 15:26

This is a solid game! I can't get past the third level myself - I didn't quite manage to get the second box to the switch on my best attempt, so I don't feel as though I've got much chance of making it all the way to the exit.

It's a minor gripe for a jam game, but given how much luck it would take to make it through anything past the first level on a first attempt and the possibility of accidentally nudging a box off a switch at a critical moment and being unable to recover from that, I'd really like to see the option to restart from the current room (with the same starting time you had going in). As it is, death means going all the way back to the start screen and clicking three times with a significant delay between each before you can make another attempt. I want to retry that last level right away - which on the plus side I think is one of the hallmarks of a great game!

Oh, also, thanks for putting out a Linux version! I know that's probably a hassle given the time constraints, but it was great to be able to jump in without having to rely on WINE or anything.

Really nice game! I loved the graphics and audio - it felt really polished! The UI and transition effects were very good too.

The gameplay was nice, albeit very frustrating: I couldn't pass the third level after a lot of tries :( I found the controls much harder than the game - perhaps increasing the turn speed, or changing to classic controls rather than rotate-and-move ones would help? Also, it took a very long time to restart the game, and I don't really understand why you need to replay the whole game instead of just the level you lost on.

Nevertheless, it's still a great entry!

arfilish 2022-04-04 15:45

Okay, i noticed nobody there can get to fourth level. I gonna give a little tip - you can use cube you currently holding to push another cubes, it will really help with completing third level.

I really liked the visuals of the game, the neon aesthetic worked very well, especially in a speedrun-style game! The sound was also a nice addition to the gameplay. While the movement is a bit jarring at first, it was a nice variation from regular movement and added another layer of challenge to the game. The difficulty was maybe a bit too high for me in terms of the timer running out and having to start from the start each time. Overall, I enjoyed the speedrun gameplay and the cool visuals!

andidebob 2022-04-05 07:41

Poor Blant... The controls took a little getting used to, but after a while I had it figured out, and then it felt like learning a speedrun, trying to find the best ways for how to beat each stage. Really fun! Well done!

erikengineengineer 2022-04-05 10:52

Super Stressfull super hard and brainmelting game! I laughed a lot!

selicre 2022-04-05 10:54

The tank controls are quite jarring. Other than that, great game!

reronin 2022-04-05 11:11

Wow that wasn't easy! Using WASD AND the arrow keys was a lot to handle haha

austin-sierra 2022-04-05 11:49

I came back to give this game a higher score. Blant is a national treasure!

phoenixofforce 2022-04-05 12:43

The second game today that starts on my secondary screen, weird.

Anyway. The controls were funny, but were'nt to difficult to figure out. Was really good

nectanebo 2022-04-05 14:08

Cool little game! As I said on the stream, you could change the color of the pads when they are connected. Other than that, excellent submission, keep it going !!

friend-pirozhok 2022-04-05 20:21

The most speedrunish (is this a word?) game of ludum dare 50

caudatecoder 2022-04-06 08:32

Very solid game for a compo! Looks really good. Controls are a bit unconventional but somehow work pretty well with the character

It was a bit hard for and I didn't make it past 3rd level.. maybe I'll give it another go once properly rested, haha. Great job anyways!

Thanks for coming to my stream! Here's a link in case you'd like to see the recording: https://youtu.be/6O1eFU0xLWM Your game starts at 1:41:15

zimny11 2022-04-10 14:00

Cool puzzle game! The controls are mad :P but I like them. A bit more time at the start would be nice, not every one is a speedrunner :) I like the neon style, and nice music too. Good job with the game.

proxy-games 2022-04-11 17:17

Nice work for a compo piece. The controls make this game interesting and difficult (in a good way), and it fits the theme well. The graphics and audio are generally good, though I feel like there should've been a bit more audio balancing (some of the sound effects were *really* loud in my ear compared to everything else). I did get frustrated a few times due to not being able to pick up a cube despite facing it, but it wasn't a regular occurence. Part of me also wishes there wasn't so much velocity on the boxes when putting them down since it causes game over's in a few cases, but I get that this is supposed to be one of those 'tugging your hair out from anger' kind of games. Overall, solid work. Congrats!

mateusboga 2022-04-12 00:45

Nice entry! Hard as hell to play though x) Here's the VOD: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1453383271

arfilish 2022-04-12 08:09

@proxy-games thanks for feedback. Actually high velocity on cubes wasn't intended and i think it pretty much ruins gameplay, i just don't know how to fix it, i swear i tried 😔

theinkskeleton 2022-04-16 13:43

Hey, that was really good! The idea was great, and the game was fun to play, though pretty challenging. Graphics were incredible, you used a beautiful color palette and lighting was also great, and I loved the UI. Music and sound worked perfectly as well. Overall, amazing entry, so congratulations!

wendel-scardua 2022-04-19 20:34

The move and turn speed made it hard for me to even pass the first level, but it may be just me because I didn't see people playing on streams having the same problem 😅.

One thing that I'd like here was a faster retry after losing (or even a restart button for when we already know Blant won't have enough time).

Other than that, the low-poly graphics are nice :)
