I couldn't get the sweep or combat games to work, but I think your concept is very fun!

I couldn't get the sweep or combat games to work, but I think your concept is very fun!
@gryph0n Did you try playing through the itch.io link? The embedded game here seems to have some problems occasionally
Wario-Ware style minigames were the first thing I thought of when I saw the theme. What I had not thought of was the weapon chosen during the action minigame carrying over to the sweeping minigame. Giving the weapons different levels of sweeping efficacy is rather clever.
@killerb Thanks! The plan was to have each minigame have some condition that carried over into the next one, but we weren't able to get as many minigames made as we had hoped. We're planning on finishing out our original plan soon though!
Interesting concept! I think with a bit of polish it could be very fun :smile:
Played on the itch.io version. I was able to kill everyone in the first game after figuring out I needed to run up to get a weapon, but the 2nd and 3rd games didn't seem to be working.
Things seemed to go haywire while playing. Music got weird and gameplay was unintuitive.
Ha ha, nice little set of minigames! :-)
@onedozenbagels I just added some fixes that should help it work better. I'm not sure what would have made the 2nd and 3rd games not work though, but hopefully my fixes fixed whatever it was.
@crimoudin I haven't been able to reproduce things going haywire, but I added some fixes that should hopefully make it more intuitive. For some reason the embedded version of the game here cuts off a portion of the top and bottom of the screen, so I tried to move things a little to work around that.
@penguinmunch Whatever changed, it's working now! Was able to do all 3. Plus there was music which I don't recall being there before. I like the carryover idea.
Nice and creepy, fun mini games.
Nice mini games, some sort of score wouldve been great. Good job!
This was very strange but I liked it
Cute mini games. Relaxing
Nice game! Love the graphics.
Neat game! Not sure I understood the goal of the last mini-game though?
I dont really understand the goal but it was fun to play
Warioware games were a popular idea when we had a brainstorming session in NashGameDev.
The games were entertaining, but I failed to see the plot. ^^;
It's a really neat concept to fit into the timeframe of a gamejam!
Sweeping game did not work for me. Nothing to do for 10 seconds. Otherwise an interesting concept and quite ambitious to do 3 games in one.
Simple concept but it works! Mini games are always a fun time :3
Entertaining! Music was actually pretty groovy :wink:. Maybe if you already completed the task at hand, automatically move the player to the next task? Cool game!
@regalias @otterfaelure Yeah, unfortunately we weren't able to make the plot very obvious that we had planned to do, but all of the minigames were supposed to build on each other to make a sort-of plot. We're planning on finishing the rest of it soon though. @shaggy Going along with what I said about the plot, the last minigame would have made more sense if we had had time to get the game that was supposed to come after it in there :shrug:
@coatline That's a good idea!
I really like the idea. Warioware style minigames are a perfect fit for the theme and I'm surprised I haven't seen more of them. That being said, some indication of whether or not you succeeded on a minigame would be very welcome.
nice use of the theme, just lacking in polish to be good. good luck if you keep working on it! warioware is always a good time
Nice graphics!
@erukolindo @fenrei Thanks! We are definitely planning on polishing it up, and one of the first things I've started doing towards that goal is adding fail states so that at least you know when you don't win (but that's not released yet).
@dgo Thank you! We had an amazing artist!
The game is okay, but what you are suppose to do is not super clear. I overall like the music and the visuals.
I'm always a huge fan of wario-ware style games. This was a neat little addition into them, I liked the idea that the weapon chose carried over into the next, making what seemed like the incorrect choice at first actually being the key to doing the second game correctly. I would have liked more than just the three games, and some feedback to be able to tell if there was a reason the game had won or if it was just looping/I had done well, but time pressures get to us all. Well done!
The music is good and the graphics are well drawn! The idea of having the object at the start is quite interesting, I think it would have been funny to have it also be put in the oven. It would also be nice if there was some kind of score counter.
Interesting idea, however the was no win/lose condition or real point to the game. Also the music started overlapping after some time. This game could be cooler given an objective and more polish.
