Cool game, I like the dash. Not sure about the audio I couldn't hear anything.

:flushed: It would be good if the ending screen showed how many enemies you killed

The game was simple, but easy to understand and still fun to play. The theme is an interesting take on the idea since the idea of drilling the planet to death isn't most peoples' first thought for the theme. My criticism is the movement can get a bit awkward at times, and the character model moving forward while attacking combined with the knockback on the enemies had the tendency to make the fighting feel wonky often. Overall, good job!

Also survived 248 seconds :)

It was enjoyable in its own way.

Survived for 77 seconds! My only major gripe is the fact that you use the mouse to attack, but the attacks don't go in the direction that you are pointing in. Besides that, it was well done!

It was a nice little game. I think the mouse and keyboard combat would have been better if the attack aimed in the direction of the mouse independent of the player movement. Good job.

I would say it is a good game, but I feel like it gets too repetitive. For me the attack and movement worked fine.

phoenixofforce 2022-04-05 12:32

The main character looks really cool. That you cant move while attacking felt a bit akward. But still it was a lot of fun. Well done

emaigualmc2-art 2022-04-05 16:54

Very fun and simple, it was difficult for me to understand the attack mechanics since when it is used, the character cannot be moved in another direction. I think the dash is very good and a good addition, I think more enemies, more combos or powers could be added, it has a lot of potential! xD

This game was actually super fun!! I played for a good while during class, kinda addicting not gonna lie, I think it'd be super cool if there were some powerups or specials!

Nice game, it looks great and you managed to make a nice little game loop with some fun feeling attacks, good animations. A nice jam-sized game.

This really does feel like CrossCode, so great job! My only gripe control-wise is that I found it quite hard to attack diagonally (using keyboard + mouse) because I had to hold two directions and click repeatedly. Attacking while facing directly up, down, left or right felt a little more straightforward to me.

I think a few simple sound effects and some looping music would make this feel a lot more complete. I recommend looking into tools like [sfxr](https://www.drpetter.se/project_sfxr.html) and [musagi](http://www.drpetter.se/project_musagi.html) if you want to make them yourself, or a website like [soundimage](https://soundimage.org/) if you want to use something ready-made.

Interesting concept! I really like the dash mechanic :dash:

Nice take on the theme. I would have liked a mini map to see where the next wave spawns. Also sadly no audio. The animations and graphics were nice though! Keep it up!

daniel-username 2022-04-10 15:38

Cool graphics! Quite tough. Perhaps a minimap would be nice to see where the drills are. The monsters themselves are pretty difficult. I wonder if letting the player attack more often would still be balanced?

zimny11 2022-04-10 18:32

Really nice pixel art! Shame you run out of time, because I can see there are plenty of directions to add more stuff, which I guess you were planing to do. Even then, good job with the game! I got 156 as my best attempt.

jamie-slowgrove 2022-04-17 12:36

Nice game! The graphics were really nice, it would have been helpfull to have some indicater as to where the drills were like a mini-map or maybe and arrow pointing in there direction but apart from that it was fun to play. Great job!
