Nice little mini games. It would have been helpful if you specified the controls in the description, though I was able to figure it out in the end.
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD51 → Televisio-Mania

I like this style,looks funny
Fun little game... or should I say... games?
Fun little game I like the art style and it gives me wario ware stlye vibes
Nice use of theme to swap minigames! I LOVE the art and sound design, reminds me of old retro games!
Love the little tv characters haha, I will always wonder what grandma's channel is. Some sort of knitting channel?
An end state + score would do a lot, I can imagine maybe the faster and more accurate you play the more score you would get.
Nice game :)
At first I thought of 6 characters, when I modeled them, I dropped it to 4 and as I took so much time making the minigames (well, actually, the transition between games gave me the most problems), I decided to abandon the grandma, and she's happy with any channel ^^. I never really thought of the grandma game even though I wondered how I could do some sort of visual novel to mimic a soap opera. But a kniting game is also a valid idea, and maybe more in my skill range.
I thought of an end, but couldn't decide on the conditions, but the garden channel gives you 5 points every good answer, I never did anything with it after :D
Aww, Grandma is just happy no matter the channel! Dad's program looked boring at first, but it turned out to be the most satisfying of the three! I guess this is what it feels to grow up. Mom appears to enjoy old classics, and although I find pleasure in those as well, it can get a bit slow and repetitive after a while. As for the Kid's show, I admit the animation looks very great, but I just don't connect. I must be too old for this young generation's entertainments, Fortnite, TikTok, and now that big dino-laser, I just don't understand them.
Anyway, the game was basic, but I really like what it offers in term of setting and story-telling! =D It's a cute idea, with a lovely presentation. Now I'm actually curious what Granny would have like to watch if she was able to reach for the remote. Good job!
While making it I found the dad game quite boring (the first one I did), but when I built the game and played it, I quite liked it, I also might get too old :D
Thank you for your feedback, it cracked me up xD
Like the game x) the anim are goods and its fun. No objectif and no penalities, but i take ten minute in the loop, enjoyable ! x)
Visually it's a win. The characters, the intro, the fact we see the screen and the reflection (Very good point), and the mini-games. I am not very convinced by the one when we choose a thing between 4 things, and I thought that wasn't a channel during 2min. Too bad for the breath of Godzilla which has a problem, but the effort is here !
The main "problem" is there is not a real purpose in the game. But I use quotation marks because it's clearly not the point of the game. It's funny anyway ! Good job.
You've created really fun characters, i like them a lot ! I think it's pretty creative to have characters with TV as head, and it's genius that it depends of their ages. As a wario style game, adding a score and an increasing difficulty could be fun. It's impressive that you made the characters, rigs, and animations alone. Good job!
I really like character design! I think, if you will continue this idea, maybe add some highscores, this could evolve into a cool arcade, maybe even for a mobile phone. I see potential in this kind of idea! I really was waiting to grandma also switch channel on something fun :D
Like how you wrapped the story of the family changing the game to why the game changes every 10 seconds.
Nice collection of mini games! :D
A good and interesting game!
We also made a channel-hopping game! Cool idea. Really like the 3D characters reflected in the TV, nice designs and animation. I felt the games themselves were too easy, so could be more fun. But add some high scores and escalation and you've got a cool foundation for a minigame collection!
The characters being reflected added a lot to the atmosphere of it. Would have loved a score to judge progress in each minigame.
Very interesting concept, and I really liked the character design. The gameplay itself was a bit repetitive, too easy and lacked a goal (no win/lose conditions).
Really ambitious to build multiple games in a jam! Really love the aesthetics of the TV and the family fightin for the remote. Some sort of win or failure state would've been great. Like one of the people leaving if you lose at their game.
@sibi Thank you for your comment. I thought of that at some point, my idea was that if the player failed too many times at a mini game, the character wouldn't be allowed to get the remote anymore. But I felt like the player would end up doing the same mini-game at the end and as they all are pretty easy, they wouldn't really loose in the last one. I also thought of a scoring system (you get 5 points for every good answer in the gardening channel, never did anything with that after). Maybe an idea could be to show, at the end, the score of every family member to see who's won. I don't consider working more on it, as I usually don't work on games after I share them, but good thing to point out for future Jams.
I like the fact that every ten seconds another game appears. I would have thought there was a competition to win, but the game seems endless ? An idea could be to give points to each channel and to see which character win in the end, in the future.
Neat little set of mini games. A scoring system would be a nice addition. Great work!
Cool game. The game looks good and plays well. Nice work.
