@raivk Thanks, we loved your screengrab so much that we made it our title image!
I really like the clock appearing over the whole game, and I thought a lot of the mechanics like changing gravity were very cool. I think more could have been done with the "darkness" (I thought it was gonna be a stealth game originally) but still nice. Last boss had wayyy too much health and I got bored of shooting them - but a great foundation for a game here!
I didn't get a single text wrong! I know how to keep my girlfriend and duck-mom happy I guess! Lovely fun polished game.
Good simple fun! Made me smile and just bloody **worked**. Did it in 75sec. Would've loved some unexpected surprises eg. the washing machine starts flooding, bookshelf falls over etc. but very nice indeed.
LOVE this graphic style. So cool. Nice audio too. If I was gonna change one thing I'd look at the enemies/weapons balancing as I just kept going up to them and slashing the sword, didn't find the gun too satisfying. But very nice game!
Really cute graphics, particularly the main character and the glowy loot yum. I found it way tooo easy, until I picked up the cricket bat and died instantly trying to wack the guys! Really nice foundation for a larger game with more enemies and traps.
Reminded me of the game Dead Man's Phone which given what you created in 3 days, is amazing! -Great music -Lovely art -Great vibe I honestly really struggled to get a sense of the murder and motive I'm afraid though. SPOILER: Did Katyln kill her because she stole her Pokemon cards? Honestly, I couldn't even remember the name of the victim as soon as it wasn't on screen ha ha! Would be great if you could find a way of establishing who is who earlier on in your story (match names to accounts to profile pictures). Or have an onscreen note pad to make notes. Really gorgeous work tho.
Cool mood and really cool mechanic! Reminded me of The Best Amendment game. Felt addictive and wanted to play more. Just got annoyed whenever the badguys would insta-spawn on top of me and kill me instantly. A pre-spawn warning would be helpful. Also the rewind cutscene would be great to turn off.
Cool atmosphere! Add some controls and hints to this page so I have a better idea how to proceed!
Game plays smooth, cool music and wacky graphics. I felt I wasn't really "parking" which might have made it more fun. Would've been cool to have to knock the yellow car away first, then park maybe? Very fun vibe tho β I completed it :)
Cool premise but I was rather confused! I could drag the green cards into the engine and then I was like "where do bubble and radar go?". Only on my 3rd attempt did I think to press W/S. I think this is because it looks like a train so I only thought the ship went left/right. Interesting gameplay tho. Would love some sound effects/atmos! Highscore: 6874
Great idea and lovely execution with the emails popping up etc. I think the game could be more "fun" / varied, but really funny idea and great take on the theme.
Really like the voxel graphics, and this is probably the most stressful tomato sandwich I've made in my life! Good job on the scary music ha ha. I bought a furnace fine, but then the tutorial disappeared (did I hit Tab accidentally?). Then I was quite confused as to how making bread worked, was it time or number of wheats... I also messed up by making a tomato field way too early. Great foundation here, some simple UI fixes (eg. 3 x wheat = bread) would go a long way. Very cute game overall.
Very unique and funny game. Inspiring use of AI. I love all the random creatures and names like "Swiftbody". Given it's such a text-based game, there was a lot that was hard to read. But you know that :)
Great concept and very funny! Well executed in a lot of ways, but it took me several gos to work out how to do anything. Would love a visual notification of when I had a new bomb to look at.
Wonderful idea and genuinely made me chuckle! Did I miss the connection to Every 10 seconds tho?
Shooting felt good, and I rather liked the blurry graphics vibe (reminded me of Cactus' games). I really wanted some more chaos/interest every 10sec -> I barely noticed the changing gun speed/reload speeds. Why not giant clowns? Sudden gravity? Exploding bullets? Feels like a great base engine to go nuts with!! :)
Thanks for all the kind words everyone! And glad people are having fun even if it is a bit hard! :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:
Curious to hear what Rank people are getting? :camera_with_flash: Post your screenshots of your high scores if you're feeling brave. Would love to see an A or S rank :star: :star: :star: :star: :star:
Thanks @langotriel and @simon-rahnasto! We'll have to do online highscores for v2!
@melektaus ha ha - love that you came back for more!!
@salohcin894 yes, I thought about The Bee Movie...but somewhere along the road we decided to only do Live Action Movies. Maybe for v2.0!
I found the text story at the start pretty funny! Just a shame that I wasn't "doing the devil's dirty work in hell" in the actual game. Unless he has a major cacodemon infestation or something??? Fun gameplay, good foundation for something bigger with more enemies and levels.
Took me a while to work out what to do, but was fun once I got it! As stressful as working in an Amazon warehouse! Would recommend arrow keys and E, WASDE was too hard on one hand ha ha! FYI Didn't get any audio :(
Beat the game! Found double-jumping for that last ring very hard. But I loved the multiple frog costumes. 10 frogs out of frog.
We also made a channel-hopping game! Cool idea. Really like the 3D characters reflected in the TV, nice designs and animation. I felt the games themselves were too easy, so could be more fun. But add some high scores and escalation and you've got a cool foundation for a minigame collection!
Love the audio so much! Graphics also very expressive. The gameplay is missing a little something for me, but the overall mood of the piece was great, very polished and fun. I got tense, but was pleased to get through the game without the mob killing me!
Really nice game! I've not really played a game like this before and it took me a while to get the rhythm, but I really got into it! Lovely graphics and sound and vibe. Would've appreciated a way of telling the one-time-only items from the infinite-uses, but for next time!
Nice we both thought about a comedy "speech" game and went down such completely different routes! Really cool game, love the graphics and over-dramatic storyline. Would've loved the gameplay to somehow get wackier by the second act??
Tres enjoyable! Gameplay was simple but nice and fun. I found the music very catchy and hummable. 1276.41 was my score...is that good? I liked the world you'd built but would've loved to have been sent up more ramps and to other cool "secret" places on the map.
I enjoyed the chill vibe and thought the concept was super cool! Reminded me of the film Wings Of Desire for some reason lol! Would've loved a bit clearer UI so I knew where the Delivery Guys *wanted* to go. But great for 24hr!
Yeah really fun! Lots of personality and smooth gameplay. Love the santa voice. Reminded me a bit of the old indie classic "Icy Tower"
Yee-har! Had a lot of fun with this, even if my hi score was only 4! My biggest gripe was I had periods where I was waiting for an X card, and just plopping tiles randomly until I had one (while my truck went back and forth on a safe loop) Would be cool to design around that somehow. Would also love a portal-style card. But I liked the tense, rogue-like Lemmings vibe of it!
A lovely take on a classic! Very nice graphics and sound, just all felt super smooth. Even a nifty UI path! I'd love to see where else you could go with this. Felt like you should get upgrades or something with each package dropped. The blackholes were too scary for me!
Very intuitive mind-tingly puzzle game, got some Baba Is You vibes! Unfortunately I'm a bit dumb and couldn't get past the level with 2 robots. Wish I could've tho. Good ramping up with multiple mechanics, and I thought the music was experimental but great!
Good simple fun! It felt very satisfying to get all 4 colours matching! Felt it needed a clearer sign of a good score vs great score (F-S rank?). I liked the SFX but found the music a bit flat. Keep on (space) trucking!
Really like the hand-drawn aesthetic! Took me a while to work out what was going on, but once I did I got quite into it! Hi-score of 68. Cool that you did multiple levels. I wanted more of a feeling of "juggling" and remembering dishes - probably better to balance it so there are more orders at once, but longer wait times. Very nice game :)
You're right, I shouldn't have played this on keyboard, it was a bit too hard somehow ha ha! Really impressive to get a nice platform engine working for a game jam. Good vibe and banging music. A few dodgy collisions and a slightly slow death/reset were holding me back a bit. But great job!
Very ambitious piece and nicely put together! Cool mood with music and graphics. It felt a bit "over-written" to me β I wanted to get to the central conflict sooner, with more interaction, less description. But I might not be used to visual novels :)
Thanks for all the nice comments everyone :)
@benk yes all the graphical assets are AI-generated apart from the UI and WordArt lol. Definitely aware of ethical issues surrounding AI art, but I felt more comfortable in this "photoreal collage" Monty Python world, that still took a lot of fiddling/animating etc. ! Our man was generated after many prompts of "anxious nerdy businessman in his 40s with messy hair" or something like that. And then his face was animated to the voice using Studio D-ID (you may have seen this used on those Balenciaga viral videos). Thanks for your question!
Gorgeous graphics! Prettiest game I've played so far. Nice satisfying movement and gamefeel. Felt it could get harder quicker (and I was mostly walking into the delivery box, didn't find much reason to shoot). Nice foundation for a bigger game with boss chickens!
Really nice vibe and gamefeel! Some of the nicest graphics I've seen this LD. For me the biggest challenge was remembering where the delivery point was - a UI marker would've been great. And it always said tutorial in the bottom corner β are there harder levels?
Oooh it's soooo chillllllll. Very nice game feel, a really sleepy little puzzler, lovely music and vibe. And a cool mechanic as well! Perhaps needed a little something extra to make it more of a puzzle - or just more obstacles and forks for the trains. But very nice entry guys!
Interesting concept and a really funny setup! I think you needed to tell the AI to "write less", as the paragraphs were just too long for me and I skim read a lot. But there's something very cool here. Would've loved some relaxing beach sounds to pass the time while waiting for my "delivery" :)
You're clearly a good writer - saying a lot with not too many words! Very nice work. Personally I'd like more chances to choose my path or pick a different word (particularly at the start), but there's something very nice here.
Funny stuff! I liked the rolling head physics very much. Think the minigames should've been 30sec not 60sec and would've loved to hear the dumbest possible joke at the end lol :) Cool game!
The upgrade system is really smart, I was thinking about doing something similar! I struggled a bit with the slow turning circle and the power-up noise was weirdly annoying (amazing how these things can make a difference). Very cool that with a few small tweaks you'd have a really fun game!
Really nice atmosphere, particularly at the very ending! (I got Ending A). The puzzles were definitely on the frustrating side, a bit like a Where's Waldo, but there were loads of cool reveals like the person, shadow, secret door. I couldn't get my head around exactly what was going on, but it felt like there was a consistent Nolan-esque idea powering the whole thing! Great job!
Best game I've played so far! Really sad I died on the last wave. Just really nice vibe, cosy but stressful, great pixel art. Some elements took me a while to get my head around, I think I wanted explainer text on all my elements (eg. what "more sight" meant, how to toggle the market etc.) But really great game, and well-balanced!
Thanks for all the lovely thoughts and feedback everyone!
@tjm 1) Yes we have an issue with fullscreen making text disappear (don't know why!) 2) Ha ha, good point! 3) Well spotted, at least we can fix that one easily - just fixed :)
Thanks for all the lovely comments everyone! Spread the word if you enjoy our game! Maybe we WILL make a longer version
@johnnysix sorry some of the jumps are tricky! The streamer video in comments above at 12:53 will show you how to do it! ("remember to stretch, chief!")
@aweskybear good question about the resolution. We did it entirely to give it "a look", which we liked! But some players have had issues with it, so it should definitely be optional in future versions.
Really nice solo game. I definitely found it difficult tho - getting stuck on walls and couldn't see the enemies easily. There was a bug where I didn't hear the music until I went to the settings menu β but I really liked the music! Such a funky vibe for exploring a labyrinth!
Very nice mechanic, reminded me of the ninja rope in Worms! I think I would've found it more satisfying if the collectibles were just instant pick-ups, as I found grabbing items lost my flow a bit. But very nice!
Fun game, great idea! Got to Wave 6. I WISH I'd realized I had a JETPACK before I got a gameover!! Killing the badguys wasn't that fun, but I LOVED jumping and grabbing the gold before it fell (I would've done that a lot more if I'd known about the jetpack!). Really cool building mechanic. Loved the shotgun and wish I'd got it more. Main gun felt a bit weedy, and this game NEEDS some badass quake music :guitar:
Really nice vibe - love the bobbing pixel art and nice music. The puzzle took me a while to get my head around eg. the description of the dwarf is confusing ("Only dwarves can live below other dwarves" might be clearer) and I couldn't work out why I couldn't buy certain rooms (they had to connect!). But I think there's the making of a nice fantasy cosy game here. Good job!
Really elegant feeling game, nice simplistic design and intuitive UI. I liked the plot line and concept, but wanted to speed read that long intro! I also felt this would get more fun if it became a bit more like OverCooked! β trying to fulfil orders/contracts at a frantic pace. But I suppose this is more a casual clicker game? Great job nonetheless.
