Very clever interpretation of the theme! Nice work!
Nice variety, short and sweet and I enjoyed it quite a bit. Your interpretation of theme was very unique too, delivering a punchline was not something my team thought of, bravo!
Rolling cube is a nice idea) In the game where you avoiding text you moving too slow and sometimes have no possibility to avoid.
You know, for whatever reason I really like the idea of helping a bearded, novice, stand-up comedian with delivering jokes... Man, just can't put my finger on it, oh well. (delivering-jokes games represent!)
Jokes aside (despite how relevant they may be) you do a great job in terms setting up the tone thanks to the music and graphics. I commend you for making a 3d game without overdoing the fact that it is 3d (i.e. a game that rounds at 1/2 fps in browser). The mini-games are intuitive and I adore the implication of collecting a microphone making a burping noise. Within the repair mini-game, often times the repair button for one of the speakers wasn't working which made replay the game a couple of times before I could get to see the end scene. All in all, great entry!
Cute interpretation of the theme! Decent minigames, though for ones like the rolling head and dodge the insults it'd be nice to have some kind of progress bar or timer. Also, I wish there were a joke or two in the game!
I love the random games that you play, makes it so much fun to play each round and not going to know what’s going to happen. Had a blast! Also, love how you play as just the guys head lmao
The game is simple but very well done. Good entry!
Could we get a web build?
Funny stuff! I liked the rolling head physics very much. Think the minigames should've been 30sec not 60sec and would've loved to hear the dumbest possible joke at the end lol :) Cool game!
This take on standup comedy is so bleak it's clear at least *one* of you has some experience. Am I right? 🤣
Great job on this! Very clever use of the theme -- I love the games that think outside of the box like this one. Camera and everything looks fantastic. Sound & music totally works, and I love the aesthetic. Main character looks a touch like Louis C.K. -- was that intentional?
The only critique I have is that the hit boxes in the second minigame were a bit too coarse -- I would have liked to be able to dodge between the letters in individual words. As is, I was only able to avoid being hit by going between the words.
The final minigame was fun. I wish telling a joke in real life was so easy!
10/10 would be heckled again.
FYI: this runs great on a Macbook via a CrossOver emulator. 😉
That was fun! I played the dodge insults game and thought I could squeeze through the N and T in Don't, but I couldn't, haha. Great minigames!

Thank you so much for the kind feedbacks, they're truly appreciated :two_hearts:
Currently we're doing some bug fixing (mostly on the UI and some parts of the game that we weren't able to complete due to the incoming deadline), we'll keep you updated
@batony-robson you're totally right, we're thinking of increasing a bit the movement speed of the character for that level, as well as fixing the hit mechanic so that you cannot earn a point after having already hit the wall;
@glove probably the repair minigame is the most broken one due to its complexity (if compared to the others) but we'll definitely try to "fix" it and make it more enjoyable to play!
@donutshoes we thought about that too, but didn't actually come up with something decent. We'll still add that to the To-Do list too
@mrs-wheelsx you can find the WebGL version at the top of the page: just click the play button and you should be able to play, please let us know if there's any problem, we'd love to help!
@frabjous-studios thank you so much, you can't imagine how much it means to us reading such kind of comments :sob: the possibility to dodge walls between letters would definitely be a cool addition to that minigame! We'll definitely look into it in the next "upgrade"
Most unique take on the theme I've seen so far, nice one!
This game felt really random, but you gave the theme a nice twist that is a bit out of the box. Nice :)
I love the variety in minigames! Looks and sounds very polished. I like the creative and original take on the theme.
Cute! I'm glad someone did another version of "delivery"!
This is more than awesome even for a 10th game not a first one. Great job! SFX are funny that fits with the game theme, gamejam theme is present, graphics are simple yet effective and the movement is super responsive
Innovative use of the theme. The minigames were good too, very fun. A bit more work on the audio would have really pushed it up a notch for me, maybe different music for each mini game or heckles, but I appreciate time is limited!

Thank you so much for your comments! We truly appreciate them a lot. Seeing your feedback really warms our hearts!
We are working on some bug fixes, hope to update the game as soon as possible!
@tom-cumpsty I tried my best hahhaha Honestly I'm not used to compose music on demand like this, doing one song each day, in addition to all the other work on the game I did, has already been pushing my limits. Anyway I'll try to do better next time :muscle:
Simple and pretty fun! Nice work!
Solid entry, enjoyed the minigames I got. Some were a little rough around the edges, but that's to be expected on a game jam game. Cool take on the theme. Nice work!
Well... I don't know, to be honest. Mini-games where two of them are almost about the same thing (just in the opposite direction), and the other game is generally useless: it's pointless to mock your space. I didn't see the purpose and meaning in such mini-games). So I do not know what to say about this game.
I had trouble triggering E on the first one and the second one I found clunky  . I liked the theme though, also the general handling was smooth and the graphics were nice! Needs some tweaking to be enjoyable imo.
Great entry for your first finished game! I especially liked the word dodging minigame as it felt thematic as in "not letting the criticism get to you", the heckler minigame was pretty confusing and I lost the audience engagement even though I tried to repair the objects, but the bottom right wouldn't just get repaired. Also I considered the interpretation "delivering a joke" of the theme as well, happy to see someone actually did it :D
Hey congrats on your first finished game! I enjoyed the unique interpretation on the theme and thought the minigames were really interesting! -Dodging and it looks like some other people have mentioned that it's a bit fast towards the end to dodge between the words and you can't dodge between letters. -Catching mics-- Whoever made the burping sound is hilarious >.<" -My favorite minigame was definitely the heckler, if only because I could always just back off, attack them, and then go back to repairing. It wasn't very challenging, but I thought it was very on theme.
Not sure if this was intentional, but the game seems to be set that you can only play it once over-- I failed the second one and when I clicked to restart it took me to another minigame and then to the final delivery. Thereafter I could only do the final delivery line.
None of that detracted from the experience though! It definitely wasn't what I thought I was getting into with a title like Punchline but enjoyable nonetheless!
Nice use of the theme and well done on your first finished game! It was good fun, and I enjoyed the multi-minigame approach. Thanks for making this!
Cool game, interesting idea. I wish there was an indicator as to how long each game lasted and I also think that they should have been less time each. I liked the camera angle and polish on the final game where you spam the space bar. I think it would benefit from a crowd and maybe more audio cues. Overall, good job!

Just wanted to let you know that we did some bug fixing and polishing of the game, and we updated a **new version**, so to whoever wants to try it: the WebGL embedded version is up and running
Also a giganormous :sparkles:**thank you**:sparkles: to everyone who suggested a new feature or some adjustment, we took note of the most interesting/feasible ones and we'll add them in a future version, probably external to the game jam, to keep things separated

Good fun game. Love it!
Definitely not where I thought you were going with this game :o I think overall I would've liked to see more integration of the joke delivery into the core gameplay. Only the word dodging one seemed meaningful. It's a neat idea to use the space between the words as a space spot. I did run into slight issue with that one where it looks like you have plenty of space to go under some letters, but you can only use the empty space to dodge.
You caught me off guard in the menu when his head fell off and the sfx played, gave me a good laugh lol Fun little game, In the dodging insults mini game I've wanted to dodge some words by going between characters which didn't work, I think it would've been a nice addition. Good entry!
