lol! What a crazy, wacky, genius game. This reminds me of old 90s video games that were the same interleaving of action videos with button presses. Real fun. Though I don't know if I it would be fair to judge your audio, and graphics. Still, I had a lot of fun. Thank you for the game.
This is definitely the weirdest one I've played so far. It's like WarioWare meets film trivia. It definitely isn't the most polished game I've ever seen and some of those clips were really unclear as to what you were supposed to do, but damn if I've ever seen anything like it before. So props on that for sure.

This game is incredibly based.
I LOVE the idea.
I didn't really understand what you were supposed to do until the second playthrough, when I see "Press X" I will just press X immediately and not realise there's a timing component. I think something like a "too early!" would be helpful.
10/10 bees.

Amazing! The best game I've played for this Ludum Dare! I was laughing out loud from the sound FX "Shame!" and "Perfect!"
The Spider-Man web scene made me laugh so much.
5 stars all around
Please let this game make top 5. It's so funny yet so clever. I loved how you threw in tons of tricky scenes to throw the player off. I totally thought Indy was going to stroke his chin when he first lifts his hand up.
The game is a test of movie memory, and also general anticipation of patterns if you don't know the film. I've never seen anything close to this.
And it wasn't just a test either, you had so many funny clips in general. I never thought I'd see a Whiplash reference in LD haha.
A fantastic game and one that I've been sending to a lot of friends because it's so easy to grok. Very good job!
I LOVED THIS. It's like Dragon's Lair but fun. I didn't do well but I didn't care. I press F to Pay Respects in your general direction!

Pretty zany, reminds me of old quiz games in a way, and I enjoyed it. I did find it very hard, though, mostly just my lack of movie knowledge! Nice game :)
It's so so good! The most original game I've seen so far and an excellent use of the theme. The timing of the buttons to the videos match up nicely and feel natural. Overall a really good entry, nice work!

Thanks for all the kind words everyone! And glad people are having fun even if it is a bit hard! :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:
Curious to hear what Rank people are getting? :camera_with_flash: Post your screenshots of your high scores if you're feeling brave. Would love to see an A or S rank :star: :star: :star: :star: :star:

Great concept, although I feel like it could use a little more time in the oven. Some of the clips work really well, like the Whiplash one, the sword fight, and the James Bond one, but with some of the others, like the Matrix one, I felt like when it wanted the button press was very unclear and it lost some impact as a result. Mash to sit on the couch was hilarious though. I hope this game gets a post jam version, because it's so close to being perfect.
Easily my favorite entry so far and among the funniest LD entries I have ever played! I couldn't stop laughing. Loved everything about it! EASY 5 star.
What a unique and innovative entry! This is one of those jam games that you will remember after the jam ends
I just had a genuinely good time.
Here is my score, in case anyone wants to try to beat it!

Thanks @langotriel and @simon-rahnasto! We'll have to do online highscores for v2!
Not knowing some of the films made the QTEs a bit hard to judge sometimes - that being said, even when I did know the clip (e.g. Matrix) I expected the button press to come at a different time! I think the ones that had the prompt coming in from off screen helped a lot with this. Really novel way of using these clips though!

welp, this was awesome.
Funny and unique spin on the theme! Timing can be unclear, but I think that's part of the fun of it.

QTE the game, I loved the non-movie assets like the flourishes, room, and sprites. Playing it just made me wish you guys did more original content or atleast meme it up more like the bee back prompt!
Really clever use of theme. I had a blast playing. I had a big grin on my face and laughed out loud for some of them. I wish there was more. The animation and sound effects are on point. Fantastic job!

Ahahahahahahaha 5 Indiana Jones's out of 5
But seriously: QTEs on movies? Brilliant idea (I'd only wish you could fail anyhow and get a different result, but well.. movie limitations)
Congratulations, I really liked your game, it reminded me of the old laser video from pioneer, I enjoyed it a lot, if you can give feedback on my game I will be very grateful it helps me to evolve, a big hug.
Hahahaha
Awesome idea and great selection of clips.

This. Is. Great. It's super original I like it a lot, it's kinda hard to rate the graphics since most of what makes the game is movies, but well played for finding this crazy idea and making it into a fun game to play !
Really disappointed that the Bee movie was not in it.
In all seriousness, awesome game. I loved how it was such an interesting take on timing and having to anticipate the qte's for the movies you're unfamiliar with. Really fun, kind of anticipating the direction of each scene.
This is seriously creative, and the first game so far to make me laugh.
Came back to grab the S-Rank  Score NE.png

@melektaus ha ha - love that you came back for more!!
@salohcin894 yes, I thought about The Bee Movie...but somewhere along the road we decided to only do Live Action Movies. Maybe for v2.0!

Excellent, I was not always sure of what would be the cues to press (sentence being spoken, word, action, sometimes you had visual cues, so I was waiting for them on the next clip). I feel that on one of them reaction time was super short to discover that I might have to press keys on the other side of the keyboard. With practice the game is super enjoyable, it reminds me of the Raving Rabbids games, for the silliness.

Amazing! One of the funniest and most unique games I saw though all LDs that I participated in! Great job!
This game is very creative, very much fun and feels a bit like one of those buzzer type family games from the earlier 2000s. Very well crafted, runs smoothly on Safari, audio levels, are dialed in, which could easily be all over the place with so many clips, but its spot on. I like the humorous touch, and delightful coloring. Its easily one of those games you either play again or pass on to someone :)

Very cool - excellent selection of classic scenes!
Entertaining! Good entry!
I loved the creativity of this game! A very well executed idea for mini-games involving famous movies. Accompanied by a very original design and strong identity. Congratulations!
Love it. Good concept!
