1. I was very surprised when the game changed from a card based stat balancing game, I didn't expect it coming at all. 2. I think that the gameplay was the best use of the theme, because I had to figure out what to do and the goals kept changing. 3. I really enjoyed the game, but I would say that fun could use a bit of improvement in the middle section. I got stuck on the snake game for a very long time because it is too hard.

This game was really exceptional, I think it was the best use of the "unstable" theme I have seen so far and really excelled in almost every aspect. As I said above I had problems with the snake game, and I think making an option to turn off the shaky-blurry cam would be good, as it was hard for me to see and kind of gave me a headache. Otherwise the game excelled in all categories. Great job!

Cool game! Very ambitious and I like the idea of using cards. The art and music are very good and create a great vibe. My only suggestion is to make roads a permanently available card, because right now it is too hard to connect the city. Fun game! I like how intuitive the controls feel. And I could repeat an idea multiple times, which is impressive for a physics game. I found levels 7-8 a bit too hard (I couldn't finish 8) but otherwise I thought the levels were a good difficulty and built on each other really well. Great job!

What a game! Really great classic strategy gameplay that felt fleshed out and complex. I think the story and world-building are cool too. I do wish that I understood what money, food, and manufacturing did a bit more, and for some reason it wouldn't let me do fullscreen. When I saw this I thought someone had made a game just for me, and I was not disappointed at all! The gameplay was really fun and just the right amount of complexity for this type of game. Trying to balance out the city also meant some strategy was needed, which was fun. The real highlight was the music, and the moment where everything changes was probably my favorite moment of any game this jam. My only suggestion is I found it a bit hard to move the people around and ended up moving them all in a massive clump, which made it hard to get to the specific trees and stuff I needed. Really great work and this game is definitely a highlight of the jam for me, great job!

What a game! Super fun and needs a lot of strategy. I love the art and music. The game does a good job of teaching you as you go. Lots of great little details (the pizza falling out of the box, ect) that make for a great vibe. Only thing I would recommend is a horse falling-down animation. Great job!

Great game! I love the art, and the music is truly incredible. Together they create a great chill vibe. Good gameplay loop and I like the achievements and unlocks system. I got stuck on the cat breeder mission because I couldn't figure out what dish it wanted (tried ordinary and delicious fish soup), so I would recommend making the missions a little more clear. Lots of little details in the game, the way the fire in the cooking pot lights up & the subtle character animations are really well done. Good job!

This game is exceptional. Really smart puzzles that require some thought, and they all build upon each other really well. The art style is also really cool and minimalistic. I really like how the recipes are consistent and how mechanics introduced in previous levels come back. My only problem was that I couldn't solve the level where you had to get 4 orange circles and there are all of those open/shut doors (though I think that was more on me than the game). Overall your game is very creative and fun, and I think it would work really well as a mobile game. Great job!

Best game I've played of the jam so far! So creative and I have no idea how you made the text files work with the game but it was amazing. Really funny writing and an interesting story. Such a well thought out game, it's amazing you built it in a weekend. Only problems I ran into were that Security code X9 wasn't working for me, so I had to restart the game. Also the game crashed at what I assume was the end, but because of the format of the game I couldn't tell if this was intentional or not. The way your game worked was like nothing I have ever played before. I'm really impressed and would definitely pay for an expanded version. Great job!

I found the puzzles fun but a little challenging, and I was able to eventually complete them (most of the challenge was just hitting all the keys in the mars rover level as they are very close by each other). Good game! Clever idea and fun gameplay. My only suggestions are to lower gravity a bit, change the explanation of the powers to the numbers (ie "press 1" instead of "press one") to help the player understand how to activate it, and to make the solution to the cloud level a bit more obvious (I couldn't figure it out). I really liked the music and the level design is strong. Your idea is ambitious and well done. Great job!

Really impressed by this game. The gameplay is original, I don't think I have every seen this concept before, and it works really well. The game is well balanced and feels very re-playable. It is also really polished, (Good UI, sound effects, tutorial, voice acting, etc) which is very impressive given the 72 hour time limit. The only problem I ran into is if you change the controls the bottom-screen UI gets glitched out and is a massive text box of all your custom controls. Overall your game is very innovative and I really enjoyed it, great job!

Really fun! I love how, like any great platformer, mechanics are introduced as the levels go on. Good amount of strategy involved and I liked how the music matched the game's fast-paced nature. Only problem I had was sometimes my character would get stuck on the walls, which was a problem in the level you have to fall through the hole. Otherwise, the levels were fun enough I played through it twice. Also I liked getting to choose what keys to use at the start. Great job!

I did want to clarify @osh-studio that I used third-party art assets for this game, so the pixel art isn't actually mine (this is why the graphics category is omitted). Anyone can license the pixel art from the link in my game description, it only costs a couple bucks and I highly recommend it. Everything else in the game is my original work. I agree @mediflect that music would help my game, and it will be a goal of mine for next time. Fun game! I haven't seen a racing game in the jam yet, and there is a lot in this one given the time-constraints. Gameplay is fun and voice over was a great addition. I did have some problems with the AI (they got stuck running into a wall over and over at the very start of the game), but I honestly think the racing is fun enough if there was a timer or points or something added I wouldn't care about a lack of opponents. Overall really fun and ambitious game. Great job!

The lines were hilarious, and I liked the sound effects too. I do wish I had a better understanding of what choices would be penalizing, so the game could be more easily "won". Letting the player read and copy/paste the entire speech at the end was a genius idea I would never have thought of. Nice work!

Really good game! The art and music are probably the best I've seen so far. The platforming is very fun too. I wish that there were save points, so I didn't have to walk all the way back every time I died, but that's really just a small thing. A cool thing for a post-jam version would be to add aging as a mechanic, not sure what that would be exactly, but if the goal is to delay aging it seems like the player aging if you don't collect a feather for a while could be interesting. Also, you should put the music on itch as an mp3 because I'd listen to it. Excellent work!

Always cool to see card games in Ludum Dare. Really liked the game, the mechanics were fun and I liked getting to rebuild the deck. The office setting was original and clever as well. One thing, and this might just be on me, but I couldn't figure out what the money was used for. Also the Fullscreen in WebGL doesn't work at my resolution and everything looked very stretched out. Overall I had a lot of fun and I'm impressed by how much you got done in 3 days!

Had a lot of fun. The forklift felt really fun to just drive around and the gameplay loop was solid. I liked the art and music too, and the level was well laid out. My only complaint was I found the game too hard. The timing of getting from place to place was very short, although I know you had limited options given the theme. Very small suggestion but can you add the controls for closing the menu to your list of controls cause it was not apparent that I had to hit R again to close the upgrade window. Overall really good entry!

Good use of the theme and the music and atmosphere was cool and gave a suspenseful vibe. I couldn't figure out the puzzle tho.

It's so so good! The most original game I've seen so far and an excellent use of the theme. The timing of the buttons to the videos match up nicely and feel natural. Overall a really good entry, nice work!

Really fun take on snake! The game feels really smooth and polished, and it uses the theme really well.

My only suggestion would be to add another cue that the 10 seconds are about to expire, maybe the music changes or the fruit flash red or something, because it is hard to check the timer in the corner during the fast-paced game.

Overall the game is really fun and addicting, well done!

This game slaps. Very good gameplay loop and I think it gets more difficult at a very good pace. So many small details I think are briliant like limiting each box to two pumpkins. The reload animation is also incredibly smooth. An absolute blast to play (I died on level 7), highlight of the jam for me.

Fun game! The gameplay loop is very solid, though I wish it was either faster-paced or the enemies dropped more money. The game has a lot of character and I loved the cutscene at the start. Nice!

I see you had a very similar idea to us lol. I liked the upgrades and regenerating level, but found the turn radius a little too big. I agree about opting out of graphics and audio as others have said.

First off, the graphics are absolutely stunning. The game is very fun and the music is great. Two small notes are that I wish that there was something to help me keep track of what letters I have collected, and that I wish the camera was fixed to the tractor (occasionally it would remain to high while falling and the tractor wouldn't be visible). Overall a very good game!

Simple but fun game. I like how it forces you to think about how to swat multiple rats for max efficiency. I did find the swatters hitbox too small though. Also slapping sound effect is great.

Really strong entry. As everyone I'm sure has said, planting the enemies is very clever. The art and general mood of the game is exceptional, and I love the switch from the kitchen to the ruined future. I will say I found thecombat a little too hard, I would have liked to be able to swing in a direction independent from the direction I'm moving if that makes any sense.

PS: It may be a random detail, but the door-swinging animation is so damn satisfying.
