I'm having a good time. How do I fight when the demon behind comes? I found no turrets or archers? Then why is there a health bar?

@the-crane Thanks for the playing! Yes, the beast can be killed. To do this, you need to get to the towers and castle before the beast arrives. You can check what you need to unlock them by moving mouse over the icons on the left side of the screen.
Good game but it would be more interesting if it would be possible to lose due to falling buildings
Fun game 😁 The twits with the dragon showing up was fun I didn't manage to kill it tho
i don't have any good criticism soooo. i liked the gameplay and graphics.
@pashaloban Thank you for taking your time to play! I thought about it, but due to the amount of buildings falling down, I give up on this idea.
Hahahahhahaha unstable city builder. I wish I tought that. Great job!
What a fun little game! Great job overall, I really dont have much else to say <3
@dekajoo I was hoping, that it would be a surprise. There is a winning strategy, that is not too hard to find. Thanks for stopping by.
@vrglab Thanks! I wish I had more time, especially to do dragon animation, but well... :)
@cinar I already have so few games with different approaches to balancing cities, I guess there will be a lot of them :P Thank you for playing!
@comfy Thank you for the kind words!
Fun game. I wasn't expecting the dragon  I noticed that randomly spamming building gives me better results than planning where to put everything
@owca I'm glad you liked it. A bit of a spoiler. Spawning buildings quickly is the way to go, but the best results you can get by making a "shield" out of regular buildings to cover the towers and castle. Thank for playing!
Yep, carefully planning is definitely not a way to go  Pretty fun physics, sprites looks good and feels pretty polished.
GG!!!
@listonos Thanks! Glad you like it.
@varundevs Thank you for stopping by to play.
Fun game, i like the graphics and the music! Well done :D
@dannyk1994 Thank you for playing. I'm glad you had fun :)
Very fun game ! would have loved a timer showing when the dragon was going to come
@sirkovitch Thanks for stopping by! I was thinking about that, but clock would remove the element of surprise, so I decided to not put a timer. Maybe that was not the best decision, since the player still wouldn't know what happens when timers runs out.
I like the concept. The dragon was unexpected twist, although buildings seems kinda bouncey
@bjakubowski Thanks for playing! I also would prefer that buildings felt more heavy, but since it was my first experience with ridged bodies, I couldn't figure out if I'm doing something wrong. I set up already bounciness to 0 and high mass to buildings, so there must be something else.
Fun game! It took me like 5 attempts to defeat the dragon haha, i had a really good run the 4th time but it all shifted and i lost 2 castles down the holes, ARGHH!
It fit the theme really well and kept me interesting enough to have multiple attempts and beat it! I literally said YES out loud when I finally did it haha 😂
Nice audio too!
really good entry good job! 👏
@curleysam Thank you for your kind words! I am happy to hear that you like it enough to tried it multiple times :)
2 castles falling down happened to me as well during play tests. I was so confident in this run, after getting second castle, and then dragon destroyed few buildings beneath them, and almost all defenses were gone :)
hahaha this was awesome. I liked trying to stack as many houses as I could on the tiny pier to the far right. Wasn't able to beat the dragon ever, but I still played like 5 times. Really fun!
Finally figured out how to damage the dragon! Though I couldn't see to hurt it much before it destroyed my towers. Still, I'd live there. Nice work!
@nick-rafalski Thanks! I happy to hear that you had fun :)
@cameron-paxton Thank you for taking your time to play my game. I believe that without a castle it is near impossible to kill it, since towers only have one archer, but castle have 6 (and of course it has more hp).
Nice twist with the dragon. Well done!
The dragon turned my town into a pile of rubble, although it did end up looking better than it did before. This was a fun and unique experience. The graphics and music was very well done, and the gameplay was fun and kept me engaged until my destruction
I defited the beast!
10/10. Hilarious. Excellent mix of mashing click and strategizing what goes where. Loved it.
Interesting concept and a nice execution. The advanced structures take a bit too long to appear after they get unlocked, so I couldn't get anything more advanced than fields before the dragon ruined everything.
@cogcomp Thanks! I'm glad you like it.
@skleembof Thank you for your comment and for playing my game!
@pbg Congratulation! And thank you for your kind words.
@flying-dog-fish Thanks for feedback. I'm sure the game could be balanced better. It has only one wining strategy, as far as I was able to test it. I hope you had fun playing it.
Nice and fun, but I don't understand how beat the dragon...
@richnou Thanks for playing! You need to get to towers and castle. There are some tips how to unlock everything by mousing over icons on left side of the game screen. After that, you aim with your mouse.
Unusual implementation of tower defense mechanics and there is a connection with the theme (towers can fall). I didn't manage to win, it's difficult :)
@goddoesplaydice Thank you for playing, and for the comment!
Whoa, that was pretty hard to defeat the beast! The first time I saw the dragon it was a great change of pace. The first time I got defensive structures, I didn't realize that the arrows were following my mouse. The music was a bit too 8-bit compared to how nice the art was, though it was good music that was connected to the action. Overall it was a good challenge trying to figure out how to save the offensive pieces, and how to utilize the big gap on the right. Great design with a minimalistic mechanism. Good job. Definitely fits in with the theme. Thank you for the game!
>Music: Bosca Ceoil
>Sound Effects: Zzfx Online
>Sprites: Piskel Online
If you didn't make the music/sound/sprites, then I think you might have to withdraw from the graphics and audio categories for the compo.
@ubershmekel And thank you for playing! I am happy to hear that you had fun.
Everything (idea, music, sound effect, sprites, font and programming) are done by me. Bosca Ceoil is a tool to make simple music, Zzfx is a tool to make simple sound effects and Piskel is a tool similar to MS Paint, just can also handle opacity and frames for animations. So I'm totally legit to be in all Compo categories :)
So here I am clicking away building my city with not a care in the world.. when all of a sudden TROGDOR!!! Gotta admit, that was very unexpected. :D Good times were had by all.. Well.. except maybe the citizens of my city as it burned to ashes.
@kernon Thanks for stopping by! I was hoping that the dragon arrival would be a surprise, this is why there is no timer or any other indication of what is about to happen :P I hope you had fun, at least more fun than your citizen :)
dude that dragon was completely unexpected! hahaha
I'll confess that when the theme was revealed I wasn't looking forward to playing a bunch of physics-based balance games. But this one changed my mind. The ridiculous manner of building a town had me chuckling throughout the playthrough. And it's a challenging but fair game, so nice job on balancing that, too.
Wait, can you beat the dragon?!? Burninating the country side :O
Totally didn't expect the dragon! Quite a surprise :)
This is the most creative of the "stacking blocks" genre of games I've seen a lot in this jam. The unique theme and more physics-y take on the theme made this feel much more unique than the others.
Good job!
This game is rediculous and stupid and I love it haha.
Very different to what I expected, in a good way.
Wow I didn't expect the fight at the end. Unfortunately I had no way of defending the town against him. I tried a second time but wasn't able to get too many buildings that would attack back. It's a neat concept though! Nice work!
Ok, I gave it a couple more tries and I was able to get some castles out, which made it much easier. Woohoo I protected the town!
@binroot I was hoping that the dragon will be a nice surprise. Thanks for playing!
@tony-li Thanks! I was expecting way more game similar to what I did, with physic based buildings, but I guess everyone was thinking that other will do it, so almost no one did :)
@andopp Yes, you can! You need to be fast and got as many defenses as possible. Thanks for playing my game!
@python-b5 I am happy to hear that my little surprise worked :) And thank you for your kind words!
@nafe That was the idea, to make it a bit wacky. Thank you for playing and commenting.
@diego-escalante Congratulation of saving the town from the beast! I am happy to hear that my game was worth trying multiple times. In one of my play tests, I had 2 castles, and I was so confident that I got this. But the dragon burned few buildings below them and everything just felt down. So even having castles does not guarantee win :)
Thanks everyone. Comments like those makes it worth it to participate in LD for me.
Well I think you nailed that @zimny11 haha. Would love you to check mine out if you have a moment, too!
@nafe Thank you! Of course, I will. I play and rate games of everyone leaving a comment here, and many more. I have a long list of games to play (yours is on it), so please be patient :) Last time I played over 230 games and this time I'm going for a new personal best (aiming for 300) :P
@zimny11 Wow that inspirational, I love it haha.
I kind a miss the point of the game since I didn't feel like i had some motivation to play well. But otherwise the mood is nice , i think it could be a very cool game with some goals like puting two building together create something else.
@namnam Thank you for the feedback! I had some ideas that were scraped during the planing process due to time limitation. There was for example idea for the whole economy: houses pay taxes but require food, farm provided food but work only if sunlight is accessible, chicken provide more food but require to be in certain distance of fields, you can buy towers with money from taxes, etc. All that is gone because of time :(
Well, this was certainly a unique approach to the theme.
First of all, I loved that the menu already had interactive elements in it. Very few games do, and this already gave good pointers as to what the game would be about.
I think that the game had a far too high emphasis on random chance. I played the game three times. First time I didn't even know what I was supposed to have done or do when the dragon came. The next time I though, maybe I need certain buildings. But when the type of buildings you get is entirely up to random chance, it reduces player agency. I felt as if I had no real control in the game.
Nice detail the title spoiling the mechanic. Was a good day building my little town, but someone doesn't want that... haha, didn't expect it, good job
Fun game, I liked the part where the dragon attacks the village. Fun to stack the houses, really felt unstable.
@xedur Thank you for feedback. I did not want anything complicated, because I knew I won't be able to make it on time. Buildings are fairy random, but you still need to unlock some of them. I know that the mechanic aren't to everyone taste. I wish I was able to give some more control to the player.
@alex-aspa The title was last hour addition. I want it from the start, but since it was not crucial I left it for, if I had some spare time. Thanks for playing.
@theheheo Thank you for playing! I'm glad to hear you had fun.
I think the city I've built is not suitable for happy life :D Ok, mechanics is simple and fun (resembles to one of my previous LD entry). But there is problem with resolution and maybe physics are too slow. Still, well done!
@dcrdro Thanks for playing! I found out about the problem with resolution about 2 days ago. I think I know what I did wrong. This is what happens when you don't check game on more than one monitor :P
Really cool game- I like others had trouble with the 'bounce' the buildings had. I loved the dragon. It was the highlight of the game for sure. I really enjoyed how it had its own theme music, and weirdly enough I found the burning of my structures pretty...satisfying. Thanks for making this!
@hydezeke Thank you for playing and for feedback. Much appreciated!
I loved this game!
@gdesecrate Thanks! I'm glad you like it.
Oh My, I defended the Beast!
Wow, what a fun game! I've played a handful of "stacking" games on this LD, and at first, I thought that this was one of them, but instead of "height" you had "population". And then came the dragon :) That was a total surprise, everything started to make sense. So next time I've read all the requirements for each building and tried to actually build some towers etc. Unfortunately I ran out of time, so third time was the charm, when I unlocked towers and castle.
Overal, very nice fusion of different mechanics and genres, fun and enjoyable entry, well done!
@bootak Thank you! I am happy to hear that you had fun. I was hoping that dragon will be a surprise and a change of pace. Congratulation on defending your town.
I thought it just a pile up game then the dragon came out and proved me wrong. then I thought the dragon may leave after a while and I was wrong again  finally I figured out how to prepare to fight against the dragon, good game!
I think it's a good game base, I wish there will come up with more levels and elements.
I enjoyed playing the game! I wanted to get a city as big as possible. And tried again when failed. Good! Nice mixing of game ideas (city builder and tiny towers). Physics is good and the colliders are tight to the buildings, which is important. Some times I wished for mirrored elements to keep thing tidy (e.g. a mirrored building where the chimney was on the other side in order to counterbalance).
This was a bit fun, though it gets a bit boring for a while without any explanation than stacking and what each building does. It was only later hovering over the icons show what they do!
I honestly I thought I was punished for randomly stacking out of nowhere. Sadly, all of my towers got burned down. If I was given choices on what I place, I would actually enjoy this a lot more. Great work!
@nekowei Thank you for playing my game! Happy to know that my little surprise with the dragon worked. I wish that I could add more to the game, but the time... :) There was a plan for one more opponent (that would show up before the dragon), but that would remove the element of surprise and "the big reveal" that it is not only buildings pile up game.
@itzemii Happy to hear that you liked the in-game mechanics. That's a good idea, since I did not add shadows to buildings sprites, I could mirror them without any problem. Thanks for playing and commenting!
@fiakaiera Yes, tutorial what to do and why, would be nice, but since the game is fairly simple I thought it is not really necessary. I left figuring out everything to the player, maybe that wasn't such a good idea. When I was creating the game, I was thinking about some mechanic to give player more control, but at that point I did not like any of my ideas. Thank you for playing and for the feedback.
Very innovative - the concept of defending the village from the dragon is really cool!
Good job!
It was fun. But the sound effect when the dragon arrives always scares me.
The concept fits the theme perfectly and it was a surprise for me when the dragon arrived, that was very unexpected, in a good way. I was obliterated, but I left the game running watching it there, killing everything. Simple, yet it was very well scripted (the dragon fight).
@totteriludum I'm glad to hear that you like game concept. Thanks!
@alexyam Thank you! I'm happy to hear you had fun. I didn't try to scare anyone, just surprise, sorry :)
@splitpainter I hope you didn't give up, you can defeat the dragon with correct strategy and a bit of luck. Thank you for playing and for the comment!
The game is really fun! I know how hard is to create a game entirely alone, specially when you are a programmer and have to deal with art stuff. The controls are really simple, and I like it. The concept behide the game is very unique and it sures fit the unstable theme. Congrats!
@jpatchz Thank you for your kind words! I am happy to hear that you had fun.
Well done with a good aesthetic and an unusual gameplay. The concept is simple and it fits with the theme. All mechanics work well as expected. Maybe the music is a little bit too repetitive. The dragons scared me. I did not expect anything, but I had fun playing. You made a solid entry ++
@geckoo1337 Thanks for playing! I'm not good with music. It takes a lot of time to create anything that is not completely terrible for me, so I limit music to a necessary minimum.
The demon is destroying me  good job, fun to play!
@gustavb Thank you! You can defeat the dragon with correct strategy, good luck!
wow this is so cool! I would have been happy with just the "build a town and try to get as many inhabitants as possible" concept, but the dragon is a cool addition. Some nice variety in all the buildings too. Great job!
@pat-cleaver Thanks for playing my game! I'm happy to hear you liked the twist in game mechanics.
haha this was a good one. was building in a peaceful slow manner then suddenly bam music got hectic red dragon fireballs aarrrgh haha nice job man. was fun !
@truedat Thanks! I'm glad you had fun.
Interesting game! The falling-city idea is clever and I haven't seen it before. The art is also good. I do wish there was a way to choose what to build (if there is I couldn't find it). Overall fun and creative game, great job!
@chairshot-games Thanks for playing! No there isn't :( I wish, I thought about a way to give more control to the player, like give 3 options to choose from or something... At least that is something I should take into consideration in next LD.
Castle Tetris! wow, pretty neat concept and well executed. thanks for making the game.
@paulhocker Thank you for taking your time to play my game! I'm glad you liked the idea.
Nice compo submission! Pretty playable and a lot of fun! The only thing I'd be more happy with, to have a timer to know whent the enemy comes, and maybe the way to repair towers, or may be being able to construct new ones during the fight. Great job!
Hello, I rated you quite good because the idea was nice and nicely implemented. Game is very simple and fast, it is the ideal submission for a game jam. The only thing I must tell you is that I could not play trying to build a stable kingdom because there is not time. So I chain placed random stuff which mostly fell aside to reach the fight with some preparation. At fight time I had upside-down towers and castles firing arrows :)
I managed to kill the dragon, nice work!
@leokrechmer Thank you for playing my game of the stream!
- I wanted it to be fast since most people do not spent much time per game. - I was thinking about timer, but I wanted to keep dragon as a complete surprise. And I know that some people will like the surprise and others would prefer the timer to be there. So it was making some people happy or others. - The way to repair buildings is a good idea. I wish I thought about it before making the game :) I had some ideas that did not make it, due to time limit, like wells putting down fire in some radius around them. - If player could spawn buildings during the fight, the game would always be an easy win, since you could spawn buildings faster that dragon destroys them.
One more time thanks for playing!
@leggy Thank you very much for taking the time to play my game! Yes, to have a chance at wining you cannot put buildings slowly and worry about stability too much :) There are still some strategies, not just random spawning building to made your chances to win better. Congratulation on defending your town!
Such a good idea! I lost it when I spawned the water well, bucket went down much faster and it started bouncing all around. Very hilarious. Then I started building the city peacefully and I was surprised by the unexpected dragon attack, which wrecked me. Very well made, including graphics, music, mood and everything! However, I think the dragon is a little bit too challenging. I had the most success when I spawned buildings all over and as quickly as I could like a mad man. But perhaps that’s the point? :) Either way, great entry!
@dzejpi Thank you for playing my game! I'm happy to hear that you like it. At the start I was thinking about some mechanics for all the bouncing stuff (buckets, cabbages and chickens), but I couldn't figure out anything interesting, so I just leave them as a humorous accent. Yes, the point of the game is to spawn buildings quickly while somewhat paying attention to the stability of the whole city. I made that choice because I was anticipating that player would think that they can just slowly put buildings, spent some time to figure out where to put next one, and so on, and then boom... dragon (this is also why first soundtrack is so calm, to misdirect the player :P). Thank you one more time for your comment.
You're right we had kind of the same idea ahah, well done for the compo ! was really fun, love the pixel art and all the cabbage and bucket flying away
@kakapoy Thank you for taking your time to play and comment on my game!
Can't believe I didn't play your game yet! 😅 But now I did and I like it. It's chill. The "endgame" was cool, didn't expect that.
@roelosaurus Thank you for playing! I'm glad you like it.
Nice game, at first I wasn't sure what to do when the dragon came but reading the comments helped me with that. When I figured out the goal the game became a lot more fun, being about strategic placement rather than just throwing down buildings :P So maybe some sort of dialog about the dragon would have been good in order to tell the player what they should think about when placing buildings
@chartle Thank you! I'm happy to hear you like my game. It was decision between, keeping dragon as a surprise and make some people unhappy because they couldn't prepare for it from the start, or removing the element of surprise and adding some info about dragon or a timer. I decided toward making a surprise, which I absolutely understand not everyone would like. One more time thanks for stopping by!
Very nice concept, especially for mobile, i think. Though i didn't understand how to beat the dragon, it was meditative and interesting! *liked the bucket=)
@darthwaxus Thanks! You need to be quick and get to the castle to have a chance against the dragon :)
What an interesting take on the theme. Y'know I was working along side with some team, and they were also making a city builder, but more strategic. This here doesn't involve as much strategic, which makes it almost like the antonym of their game XD. Anyways, good job on the game. Definitely one of my favorites!
@danial-jumagaliyev Thank you for playing my game! I'm happy to hear you like it. I saw one game quite similar to mine already. It was about an ant colony, also with shooting towers and a "monster" to defeat at the end.
I found the game a bit confusing and I couldn't really find a good strategy to beat the dragon, but the concept seems really good and I liked the graphics and sfx!
@lovetocode999 Thanks for playing! I guess it is quite confusing, since I decided to not explained too much to the player, to leave the dragon as a surprise. The "strategy" is quite simple. Go fast. There is no penalty to throw away buildings, so you can drop one you do not need. Get to the castle and then cover it up with other buildings for protection. And that should get the player a good chance to defeat the dragon.
A very fun and creative game! A perfect interpretation of the theme.
The graphics are simple but very functional with the game's proposal.
Sound is very good. The songs calm and fight against the beast are very well used.
The gameplay is interesting. It took me a while to figure out exactly what I was supposed to do to defeat the beast. But after I understood and felt a sense of relief when I managed to defeat her.
If you allow me to suggest, maybe somewhere in your game you could put some explanation on what the player must do in order to protect his kingdom from the beast.
But overall it was an interesting game. A very creative and well executed interpretation of the theme. Good job!
@vphyre Thank you for taking your time to play my game. I'm happy to hear you like it. I did not put much explanation in order to keep the dragon as a surprise, but maybe some vague explanation, of what to do, would be nice addition :)
Not bad graphics. Quite an interesting gameplay. If you finish and add a little variety - can come out a good hyper casual
@valiantsugar Thank you for playing and commenting! I wish I had more free time to develop this further. Maybe one day... :)
А вы уверены, что тут можно строить? Ну конечно! Это сейсмоустойчивая зона! Тут никогда не бывает землетрясений!
@xpoho Спасибо за игру! я надеюсь тебе это понравится. (sorry if there are mistakes, I haven't used this language in over a decade)
"as a powerful wizard" That's how I knew I wanted to play.
Building a town while dropping houses on a town is alot of fun here. Chill beats chill game play. And then a dragon went on a murder spree!!!
Seriously though well done I hope you had a much fun making the game as I did playing it!
@coryru I went with a wizard to justify buildings popping into existence from thin air and dropping from the sky :P I had a lot of fun making this game, and I am happy to hear you had fun playing. Thanks!
This is a lot of fun! The controls are very simple but the game is deceiving deep. I enjoyed that you could play sporadically spamming building or play meticulously placing them. But you had to learn to balance those play styles to actually win. I was NOT expecting that dragon. After I first saw it I realized the game is more complex than I thought- I didn't even have defenses yet.
Quite original. I gave it a few tries. Didn't beat the game, but did manage to get a few towers. The buckets and cabbages and chicken randomly falling out of the structures made me giggle. GJ
@blearn I'm happy to hear that you had a good time and that my "little" surprise worked. Thanks for stopping by to play my game :)
@kuro Thank you for playing! Beating the dragon is doable, but it is not easy. I'm glad you like additional things spawning with buildings. Happy to hear that my game was worth retrying.
Funny game! I want to built perfect village, but the ground... Ha-ha. No chance at all) Like relaxing calm sound and art. Hate the well bucket, that was resin, but it adds small random in game)) Thank you for this game)
@zeilanda Thanks for playing. Hope you played long enough to see the unexpected visitor :)
Try one I was taking things slow and only made it to wells before the dragon came and I was totally unprepared lol
Try two I spammed buildings and managed to have a single defence structure, but it always shot in the wrong direction and missed the dragon.
Try three I was more selective of my buildings based on whether or not each condition was met. I still only made it to a single defensive building, but I realized that I can aim the turret with the mouse. I still only did a tiny percentage of the dragon's health.
Try 4 I read the above comments and learned of castle's existence. I tried to dispose of buildings not needed after I unlock the next type. I managed 3 towers in my pile (and some other towers well off the edge). Still no castle though.
It's a cool game, and an interesting mechanic and resuling strategy. The pile of buildings is funny looking in a good way :)
It seems a bit hard though, and it would be nice to know what triggers the dragon's attack. Is it based on a timer, or a number of buildings placed, or a number of buildings lost?
@almost Thank you for playing! I'm glad to hear that my game was worth retrying. I like your thought process :) The game is not easy, I didn't want it to be always a win once the player understood the best approach. The dragon attack is triggered by a timer, set to 100 seconds, if I remember the value correctly.
i liked the game, it was maybe a bit too hard but it's alright ! Congratulations
I just want to say that my favorite part of this game was the clouds in the background. I don't know why.
(And don't get me wrong, the game itself is great too!)
@llaumegui Thank you for playing. I did not want this game to be "always win", so I guess I went a little bit over the board with difficulty...
@samuel-fine Thanks for playing and for noticing details :) There are only 5 clouds that, every time they leave the screen, they get teleported to random height outside of the left side of the screen, and the sprite is randomly changed. That's the whole trick :P
It's pretty cool! I love how the dragon just pops out of nowhere the first time after you've been placing houses just randomly and haphazardly haha. It was fun :D
@flywolfe Happy to hear you liked my "little" surprise. Thanks for playing!
That damned.... Scared me. And ruined my town.
Great game. I enjoyed music changes. And trying to churn out enough buildings to get towers. I became obsessed by trying to bridge the gap on the right. Almost got it. Great game!
@fromthechasm Sorry, for the scare :P I am really happy to hear that you enjoyed the game. It is possible to do that, I manage to do it by accident one or two times while I was play testing. Thanks for playing!
The game looks good and has good art, but something happens if the structures fall? I can put all the structures I want since even if they fall, nothing happens? Nice submission anyway
@emparans There is no punishment for building falling, there is different surprise. Try to play for about 2 minutes, you will see :) Thanks for playing.
@zimny11 I just played it and wow, that makes the game so much better! I certainly wasn't expecting it. Love it!
@emparans Thakns for giving it another try!
I really liked the concept! it was really hooking gameplay and true to the theme! great game!!
@alks Thanks for playing! I'm happy to hear you like it.
This was legit fun, the first impressions were cool, I liked the title sequence with the gravity. And when I began the game at first it was decent but I wasn’t impressed, I noted down that this game wasn’t really fun because there was no goal + you could just spam the buildings, it wasn’t a challenge to balance them…
boy, was I surprised when the dragon came in. I got a bit jumpscared by it, too, with the sudden shift in music and visuals.
Anywho I died, and my first thought was that you had to build a pile so large that the dragon eventually gives up and you win, so I gave it another go, spammmed the buildings, and when the dragon arrived… I died again.
After this I checked the comments because I was lost, and I found the “the-crane”’s comment, and your response, saying to hover over the buildings and to see the requirements… and then it clicked.
It took a few attempts, but I did manage to finally beat the dragon in the end, and I had a lot of fun too.
My main complaint would have been how there’s no indicator that you can hover over the buildings, but in retrospect it was rather fun trying out to see what worked. I guess my feedback now would be: keep the dragon as is, don’t reveal it, but when you die to the dragon perhaps have text that says “Hint: Hover over the buildings on the side”, or something like that. But honestly even without that the game is great as it stands, great job on making it and making it fun in a short amount of time!
@sinci1 It is always nice to someone play your game after the LD is over, so thanks for finding time to play it. I put "You can mouse over the icons to get some tips." in the game description, but maybe I should have explain that better (English is not my native language, so it also may be badly written advice). I'm happy to hear that you didn't give up and finished the game! Happy to hear that my surprise worked, and thanks for playing!
