Great game! I don't quite know what to do with gold but apart from that fun resource management
@banskin Gold is for upgrades.
@banskin Sorry for the confusion. Last night when I was uploading for the first time, there is a UI bug which will cause the card choosing UI and shop UI to missing. Now it's all good. Come back any time if you are still interested.
It took me a while to understand it but it's good!
@fosf0 Thanks! This is the first time for me so totally run out of time to make proper UI and guidance LOL.
I got to day 15 xD Really fun and very addicting game, I like the system. I had a bug only one time during day 4, or 5, when I had enough gold but couldnt buy specific item for that amount. Other than that it has great potential if you develop it more. I usually dont play card games like that so I dont know what to advise here specifically, but I like the growing difficulty each day and need to upgrade your equipment, it is slightly addicting :D Great work!
A survival deckbuilder! That was such a great experience! Really tight game loop that made me want to press the replay button too! Hope the quarantine in Shanghai ends soon <3
Loved the game! I cannot dislike a nice deckbuilder! Loved the upgrades, any good deck builder has some good card removal! :)
Good job, keep it up!
Nice Game! Maybe add some audio when playing the cards can make players feel better.
Heya! I felt this game was pretty well balanced and enjoyable, despite the presentation being on the limited side. With no music and default unity styling for buttons and text, there was definitely room to see a bit more polish, but under time constraints, I think you made a good choice focusing on the game first.
Congrats on finishing your submission, and thanks for the game!
Nice, pretty addictive. Sound is missing.
Wow this game has actually decent depth with so few cards! Very well designed, best card game / deckbuilder I played at ludum dare.
I had fun playing the game, and I made it to Day 34! Though, I see that the game tells us to survive for 14-day quarantine but I still get the message "I didn't survive the quarantine." after day 14. You can actually continue playing after 14 days too which does not fit to the game's title. I also saw that the work card's chance to appear are abysmal day after day, is that intentional?
Other than that, everything is creative! Great work.

when the pandemic just burst out in my city, there were a couple weeks that we were afraid to go out, and supplies always went short. And I remembered trying to buy food online at midnight, and refreshing the webpage again and again to find an open window. It reminds me of those days. I feel so related to what you are experiencing right now.
luckily this game doesn't have a countdown, so I could take time to think of the next move. And I like the design of "mom asks for food", "have a baby", the special events makes it more true to life.
You picked a great concept and executed very well. Good Job!
@sacredyouma Thanks for the detailed feedback! About the continue playing I just want the player to have the choice of keep playing the game. And You are right. I should add a different notification text on that.
About the 'work' card, I'm getting the same feedback from other players too. But it's a simple full random pick algorith in the code. I will definitly look into it. On the other hand I think this buffs the humor of the game though.
Thanks for playing and the feedback!
@vivyhasadream Thanks for the feed back. That means a lot to me. I choose the deck building gameplay intentionally to emulate the intense online food shopping situation during a pandemic lockdown. You don't know if you can get food or which food you can get today. But for ourself and family we need to make the full use of what we have on hand.
I'm so glad that you get the deep emotional feeling hide inside the gamplay. But on the other hand I'm also sorry for you sharing the same experience of a pandemic breakout. The anxiety and the helpless.
Thanks for the compliments indeed!
@andyzyz your game doesn't make me feel sad tho. just brought in some memories. oh, by the way, for salad card, it doesn't work for potato? potato is a def a veggie :D
@vivyhasadream Yeah it probalby better to count as a veggie. It's just I'm making french fries these days so
I like the gameplay loop and the sprites are great. It's a small thing but I wish you could drag the cards out to place them instead of clicking.
Thanks for submitting your game for me to play on my stream!

Nice! I felt like the only way I was going to beat the quarantine is if I got the energy drink! The game really makes you appreciate potatoes and vegetables :D
Great game. I kept playing this for longer than most LD entries. I was inevitably going to fail, but the desire to try again and survive longer was high! Really nicely done game :raised_hands:
@juhrjuhr About the enegy drink, You can try the salad build. With some salad and vegetable cards in hand and work or potato discarded, it may stand a chance to win the game.
I survived 11 days at first, then I tried second time and survived 14 days! Haven't played deck builder game in a while, so this was fun  I was missing sounds though, so I'd add that. Liked the upgrades, but what was the point of rabbit, if it removes vegetables?
@noiyy This is a concept in deck building games. By removing the vegetables (1 enengy for 10 food), your chances on grabing potatoes (1:15) or chicken(2:25) on each day become higher.
love the theme with the social reality now in shanghai 握手,the dbg game mechanics is good and fun, but maybe a bit counter with the quarantine situation that lacks the food but not the energy.
