The idea is good, but I did not fully understand how to play. After the move of the blue, the game stops.
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD50 → Arrow's Theorem

Cool game and nice concept! Well done!
Wow! A very interesting mechanic, and also really cool to see things I've previously studied be applied here. I also love the Primer blobs :D
What a delightful educational trek through the world of voting systems! It's a bit rough around the edges, both visually and in terms of functionality (separating "cutscene" and "reset" button and allowing text scrolling to be advanced), but I was quickly engrossed by the practical examples of different voting scenarios you put forth. Double-check the typos, maybe add a scenario selector and perhaps get an artist friend to give it a paintjob and this would make for a great interactive counterpart to CGP Grey's old videos. I particularly liked enabling the help button and trying out different placements to see how they would cause the outcome to change.
I would have loved an option to turn off the conversations but the game is great and pretty tough.
Good job!
I didn't really get drawn in to the dialog, and the slow moving text didnt help. Should be able to click to get the full text in the box, not just skip it, for those that read a bit faster. Some of the puzzles where nice! While most where really easy. Hard to get a puzzle game just right, but this was a good effort!
Anyway, good work! keep it up! :)
I ended up enjoying this game a LOT more than I thought I would! First off, I love the idea of a voting system based puzzle game. It's silly, but super interesting, and with the art style reminds me of all those blob videos you'll see on youtube about voting system.
I actually got stuck on a puzzle for a good 5 minutes, but that aha moment I had when I realized it was better to be ranked second by all, and first by a few, than first by a lot, and second by a few. (bad explanation but whatever. Still! The fact I stuck around even after getting stuck shows you made a good game :) )
My only complaint is the dialogue system! The dialogue is both helpful and funny, but the text speed is suuuper slow. I can't click to make it finish either, as clicking just skips the important dialogue.
Overall, great jam entry, and good concept
This game is super weird, but like, in a good way, its fun and even though the stage is the same it doesn't feel repetitive.
Thanks for all the comments! I didn't expect to get so many so soon.
It seems like I can't respond to each one, so I appreciate the feedback, and my takeaways so far are: 1. Have an animation for losing the level, just as I do have for winning one. 2. Second click to fill up the text box without waiting, and even an option to remove the dialog (or at least not repeat it if restarting the level). 3. Maybe have an easier learning curve, while having the last puzzles harder to solve. 4. Breakdown of the votes, for a better strategic choices.
Sadly, some of those were planned for the jam, but you know how it is - couldn't delay the inevitable deadline ;')
This is so cool! More... educational, I guess, than most game jam games but I played this for a solid 15-20. I enjoyed the representations of the different voting styles. I wish my country didn't do FPTP voting  Anyway, I liked the dialogue and the gameplay; I think a bit more feedback on what's happening when could be good. For example, seeing a breakdown of votes off to the side would help with strategy when you have to repeat a level several times. Also, being able to not need to skip the dialogue over and over again would be good. But in any case, this game was great and props for making such a complex puzzle game during a jam!
Woo, all these comments have a lot of words. So, playing the game was hard because of my aspect ratio, but i see this a WHOlE lot right now. Unless you have a FHD moniter, there are a lot of games i cant play fully. I liked the concept for the game, and i would have played more if all the UI elements were not off screen XD Music was cool and relaxing, art was cute and funny. Good game
I'd have loved the text to snap to finished scrolling when I click it rather than going straight to the next state - I read faster than the scroll and didn't want to wait for it all the time. Aside from that, very curious concept! Entirely outside what I expected
Arrows impossibility theorem! Very cool stuff! I found the way the text came up every time I reset pretty annoying, but the gameplay was really cool. Really good way to show how each voting system has a downside, though FPTP is perhaps the most easily exploitable.
This was a really interesting game! I love voting methods, so found this super interesting to play! The dialogue was funny too 😄
Great idea! I got stuck on FPTP3 though.
This is a nice game. I really like the concept based on primer's videos and the art is nice. Some of the times I clicked seemed to not register, but that may have just been me. A nice game overall.
Nice educational video. Innovative idea to try to turn something like this into a game.
Interesting idea for sure. I had trouble figuring out when I was allowed to place the character. I would click and nothing would happen a lot of the time and I did not understand why. Some feedback to the player there I think would help. Otherwise, good going!
This was a very good jam entry. I didn't go into LD expecting to learn, but I enjoyed it :joy: I think you could continue and make this into solid educational entertainment that will captivate people with an important topic to understand. Keep on making games \o/
Note: I actually needed to fullscreen the game in order to see anything
What a great idea ! I would never have thought one day I'd see a fun game about voting systems, but you actually did it ! And you found a very clever way to make it understandable and playful. I love it !
Nice witty game, the only issue I encountered was that the speaking sound still plays after I skip the dialogue. Also you may want to force people to full screen the game on your itch page since it doesn't work when the player is minimized.
Interesting game idea that teaches a lot about voting systems. The later systems were a bit confusing in terms of strategy though so I found myself just clicking to try something. Maybe that's the lesson!
This is a really solid gameplay idea! I like the puzzle of figuring things out, but the graphics are a bit lacking. But I liked being able to toggle on and off being able to see which colours my character would light up, that's interesting to see!
The game viewport itself, on itch wasn't sized properly though, so I had to fullscreen to be able to play, but otherwise it worked fine!
Overall, well done!
Smart game, does a very good job of explaining a complicated topic. I didn't fully understand what "get the min points" meant but otherwise it was very clear. I do wish it tied into the theme a bit more, but otherwise enjoyed it.
Wow, I didn't expect that! What a great educational game, with hands-on approach, funny dialogues, and actually intriguing and interesting puzzles! I learned a lot from that one! Have you considered turning it into an explorable explanation? (Maybe upload to https://explorabl.es/ ?)
I think it's great the game had the option to see how the voters are "colored" pre-placing your piece. This might as well been the default; and even more, I wish there were dashboards explaining exactly how much points each candidates gets and why, even pre-placing your piece, because afterwards the animations were sometimes a bit hard to follow, and the "Achieved: X Min: Y" was sometimes not clear, especially when the system frequently changed.
Also I wish there was a way to move back and fourth in the levels, to replay a level I didn't quite understand, or wanted to try something else (the reset button was a good choice).
Besides that, I really liked the game and was fascinated by it, please make more like these, or consider polishing this one above the scope of the jam.
really liked it! 3d graphics were good, game was interesting and unique. very fascinating idea and very unique. fun!!
