A bit confusing initially. Could use arrows pointing to problem source.

A bit confusing initially. Could use arrows pointing to problem source.
I was a tiny bit confused that the main screen tells you where the problems are.. once I figured that out it became much easier to determine what the rooms are. Good job guys!
I liked the game, the rng can feel pretty unforgiving sometimes though since at least 2 problems rely on the electricity. Nonetheless I suppose that might be part of the challenge. Solid game.
a bit confused on whats to do and going on there but i really like your art style and the paperboy reference when you die :D
This is like the roguelike of nuclear reactor sims! Felt lost at first but then found my bearings and noticed where everything was. Didn't survive because of the instakill goop.
Graphics were nice, audio was pretty good and you get a 5 star for the theme since this is exactly like our idea! Great minds think alike, eh? :D
This is a charming game, once you get the hang of how to fix each section, it's not hard. There's just two things that bothered me: The physics felt too slippery, which sometimes makes you slide off stairs, and also the smoke room is pretty annoying. Moving platforms mean you'll spend a lot of time there while everything else in the facility breaks. Nevermind that, the graphics and music, sfx, and ending screens make this game.
Really great game, love the retro graphics and the multitasking concept. I also like the end screens particularly when you die since it's so funny  . Awesome work!
Very nice game, the humor on falling down the acid is the best for me.
Very good game! I see a problem with the concept tho: It is a short game with a relatively long time to get to know the game so you can really play it. Over half my time was spent figuring out what to do.
Love the art, and the concept fits the theme well. The highlight of my playthrough though was when I died and was greeted to a newspaper article of me as a skeleton getting fired. That one got me. Nice job!
this game made me remember that character in fallout new vegas that had an theoretical deegree in physics. Nice game!
This game was pretty fun and simple, the pixel art was really out of this world. Juggling all the tasks was fun, I wasn't very good at jumping onto the moving platforms and I fell into the waste a lot lol good time tho thanks.
First time I saw an entire soccerteam make a game. So many devs up in here. But very well directed. Really like the main character, he's such a cool dude. 👍
I agree with what others have said about it being confusing at first, but very doable once you figure it out. I do feel like the "smoke room" is disproportionately more frustrating than the other rooms due to the slow-moving platforms + lots of jumping required in a game that doesn't seem to otherwise be very optimized for jumping. I liked the hectic overall experience, though.
Really nice start! The graphics are great (the main character sprite in particular - I love the little sheen on his shades) and it definitely hits the theme well. It'd be nice to have a timer or something on how often a particular room goes down - a couple of times I had the electricity go out as I was leaving the room having just fixed it, and getting up to the top of the smoke stacks while the power keeps going down feels a little unfair. Some of the room names don't match between the signs and the warning label as well, I don't know if that was deliberate? Overall, really good entry though, well done!
I love the music and art style. Definitely feels like a game I would have found on a cartridge for my sega genesis back in the day.
Could do with a few guidance like pointing arrows to sites need attention, how to restore stability (i only see explanations to jump and move around in the description) and the controls are a bit too fast, it's fairly easy to accidentally slip to the radiation pool if not cautious. Other than that good game, i didn't get to play it long enough since i don't know what to do but it feels fun at least.
Wow, it's so hectic! At first, I was pretty confused at what to do and where to go, but it's pretty easy to catch on after going around (and dying in the goo that the management told me not to step). The platform moving up and down is pretty hard to get onto, especially with the character keep sliding off. Although maybe that's just me being bad at it?
Anyway, I enjoyed the game! The news at the end was pretty funny. Well done!
Overall a fun and hectic platformer! I was a little confused at first but it didn't take long to remember the directions and address all the issues. Good player feedback when a problem was fixed. I liked the difficulty build that when the electricity is unstable is affects the other rooms. The pixel art and style are great. The newspaper game over screen is a fun touch. Great work! Would love to see more from you guys.
Oh my god, I was getting so confused by the rooms for a second, but this is absolutely outstanding. I can't actually place the game it reminds me of, but there's some old ladder-baased games from the NES era that this made me smile about!
Wow, this is too real that one poor engineer is managing literally everything...I like the humor, you know you are still to blame even after turning into bones at the bottom of the acid vat... Like that you have divided different rooms with colors, very clear UI. Fixing each room is a bit confusing at first. I believe that mini-games instead of finding puzzle pieces or switches will make the gameplay last much longer, but this is very good and elaborated consider it's made and completed in 3 days!
This game had a fun layout. It was a little confusing at first but that made it a little exciting. Great job!
The look and feel of this game is amazing! I had fingers cross as it loaded based on the description and no let down there. Love the lab guy. Love him. So good. Thanks for letting me play!
Nice game, I had fun, good work guys.
The graphics and music really felt like a NES era game to me and I loved it. Great simple concept that gives you a nice manic dashing about feel to the game.
I think with a little bit of polish it could easily be expanded into something awesome. I had a couple of issues with getting stuck half jumping on the vertical moving platforms, but otherwise really enjoyed this. Great work!
The pixel art and animation are perfect! And game is very fitting to the theme.
Really liked this one, although initially I didn't understand where I had to go or what exactly I had to do in each of the quadrants. I love the art, music and radical aesthetic.
Very nice take on the theme, though it only starts becoming fun after I figured out how to fix each room. Jumping up the elevator platform was annoying as well, but that's just a personal preference. Anyway, no one said this power plant job would be easy.
I like games that have some system in the background, so elevator platforms stopping to function when the power room is unstable is a nice touch. Though it led to cruel situations.. Half way up the smoke room, power goes out, fixed it and half way up the smoke room again, power goes out again, fixed it, and this time just as I was leaving the power room it goes out, AGAIN. Repetition is a strong comedic device. Humor, theme and graphics are categories where you did the best I'd say.
It stressed me out a bit, but it definitely fits the "Unstable" theme. Bravo!
Loved the retro vibe! It took me some time to understand how to fix each room (especially the pipes, I thought I had to use the computer somehow.) Once I understood it was quite frantic and fun. I especially like that the electricity room is linked to the other system, it made interesting situations where the player has to change his priorities during tasks. Well done and thank you gor your game!
Cute design, very retro. It's hard to tell what to do, though.
Is there supposed to be sound?
I managed to get stuck in a jumping animation where I was sliding above the ground and not able to jump again, so I had no choice but to fall into the goo. :(
This was a fun little game! Reminded me a little bit of Among Us with the little tasks you had to do!
The art style worked really well together and I loved hitting the power switch, felt very satisfying :)
Very rad game. The controls felt a little bit slippery at first, but you easily get used to it. I love the graphics and sound design, and it's nice to have different ways to fix problems per area (damn the top smoke pipe when the electricity keeps breaking). Loved the game overall
For just 72h, this game has a impressive number of sprites. The mechanics are solid and the unstability theme usage is very original here. Congrats!
I liked the pixels art. The controls were a little bit hard at first, but after a while you get used to it. As a feedback, I would suggest that you can just fell when you are on stairs. And use it just to climb. It will make it more dinamiclly. It felt a little bit odd when I jump expecting to just fall to the lower level, and got stuck on a stair. But I really liked the game. Good job
Good job, I liked the consistent humor tone.
Some of the platforming surprised me a little bit, I would expect the thing elevator type platforms to have cloud collision and let me jump through them on the way up and just stop me landing, instead I found I got stuck on corners in the room in the upper right.
The pixel art and audio in general is fantastic. The level design makes a lot of sense, and it really feels like a rush running from one room to another to prevent disaster. The controls are good overall, but going on and off stairs seems a bit floaty sometimes. Really great job!
dem colours are beautiful
Only issues I had were understanding what was happening, once I figured it out (and got lucky with 50% rod room instability) I beat it in no time. Well done!
Loved the thematic aesthetics, graphics, music and general concept! Super funny elements and details all around. I love the skeletons and the death animation.
As for the the gameplay, it is a little too unbalanced to be really fun to play for many attempts, though, especially when the power goes out. It's pretty much impossible (unless I'm doing something very wrong) to get a good pacing going.
The jumping and stair control were pretty glitchy to me, but that's understandable on a short deadline. Those are two of the most difficult things to get right in platformers, especially for something fast paced that uses both simultaneously like this. It was a still playable, so that's a pretty good achievement!
Overall a pretty cool take on the theme and the aesthetics was lovely. I would love to see more of this radical 80's nuclear safety inspector hijinks! I can totally see these visuals and style as some sort of retro platformer like the old Commander Keen.
The goo just kept calling to me. I was amused by the take on the theme. Took a couple of attempts but I got the lay of the land alright the controls felt like they could have been a little tighter but that kinda works into it's 90s radical devil may care attitude aesthetic. Had you put the engineer on a skate board well I'm not sure how stairs would of worked but other than that it wouldn't have been out of place.
That player sprite wow 10/10 just oozing with character. This take me right back to early 90s computer games well done you nailed that vibe. The downside is the controls were abit to slippery for my liking it made the platforming not very fun. Love the concept just needs a bit more time to refine it.
I jumped right into the game before reading the comments, but much like the others it took me a little bit to get the hang of what all the character was managing. Once that was down, and a few deaths later, it was pretty fun trying to manage all the tasks, although I failed on all the tries. I had a few issues with the movement and smoke room as well, but I assumed that's because of my lack of experience with the game. Loved the humor on the death screen, art and music were wonderful, and I think this would make an awesome series post-jam!
The death screens reminded me a LOT of days spent playing PaperBoy many years ago, love it! The graphics were nice and the gameplay was very manic as promised. I did manage to win, eventually, but I kept getting a loop where the smoke room was unstable, I'd go to fix it, then the electricity went out and stopped the moving platforms before I was able to get all the way to the problem in the smoke room, so I kept having to run back to flip the electricity switch. But I guess that's actually the point is that it's a very hectic 3 minutes? :) Overall, good entry and the artwork and music were pretty awesome!
Art fo rthe chracter was nice, had a hard time finding which part of the map I needed to get to to stablise things but liked the idea!
Great game, I liked the mechanics and the music is nice! :)
Well done! The art and visuals seem really polished. Some of the collisions were a little wacky -- like in the electric room, I always got stuck for a second behind the lever after jumping on it. You did a good job with the theme, as the game play certainly feels unstable, jumping back and forth between all the areas. The physics is very slippery, which was a little punishing while I was getting used to it, and also made climbing ladders a bit of a pain since you maintained horizontal velocity. Maybe you could cancel horizontal velocity when the player starts climbing a ladder. Great submission!
A bit challenging to figure out at first, but I actually kind of liked getting the feel of the game. The electrical faults stopping the platforms in the smokestack I think made some runs unwinnable though, that might need to be balanced.
It is a great entry, visually pleasing and simple yet effective gameplay-wise. I share the same idea as some commenters above, power outages nullifying your ability to get to the smoke room valves or activate rods is way too much impact from 1 room. Still, a cool game indeed!
I like the character the main character has but damn is this an unstable power plant
Took me a couple of goes to get used to what I was doing but the gameplay was fun and the graphics are nice!
I really liked the idea. The controls were a little floaty and the character a tiny bit difficult to control. Maybe because I didn't snap to ladders? I can't quite put my finger on it.
It was difficult at first, but after a few rounds I got the hang of it. My favorite part was when I fell into the slime (and that happened a lot) they fired my corpse
Cool game, I love the design of the main character (also, that thumbnail is perfect). It could have done a better job at guiding the player towards the objective, overall it was a bit confusing to play (there should be a map, or at least put all the signs in the same place). And the sound effects were a bit loud and became annoying very quickly. But overall the game looks really good and controls well. Great concept, just needs a bit of polish game design-wise.
Really like the graphics and the animations in this game. Running between the four areas to fix the problems is a great idea and is well executed. I did run into a problem where I couldn't push the rods down if there were more than one up, but otherwise the game ran great. Found it fun and it had a good energy. Great job!
A very charming little game! I had a similar experience as others; lost at first, then much better when everything is understood.
I wonder how it would feel if before the real meltdown begins, you fist send the player to each of the 4 areas without a time limit? Then send them back to the middle and tell them to pay attention to the condition of each of those meters as some kind of small explosion (screenshake, bang sound, flash, dialog "warning warning warning, meltdown imminent") pop up the timer UI all important like, and then the game really starts up. Something like that would help onboard the player and get them to understand at least where each of the important actions are.
The thing is, part of the fun IS being lost at first, and then getting better at it, and then eventually being promoted! BUT those first few failures also didn't feel great. The first time is actually funny because of the skeleton in the newspaper. Then the joke gets a little stale and the slog of death and restarting starts to feel a little annoying and clunky.
The game's physics take some time to get used to. They don't feel great, lots of slippy stops, and the moving platforms can push you into the floor in a weird way.
The animations didn't match the actions (on web build). Walking by a ladder starts a ladder climb animation even if you don't go up it. Jumping upward seems to be missing a sprite/animation, so the guy is going upward while looking like he's still standing.
The animations that are there look great. Idle, Run, Climb, Fall, Death, they're all great, both visually and animation (even though they're not playing at the right time). The visual style overall has an SNES era charm to it. The colors feel very 90's nostalgic
I think a lot of people like a moment to just wiggle the character around at the start of a game, jump around randomly and such to get a feel for the game. Especially for a 2d platformer. The game starting the countdown immediately means people cant get their "sea legs" with your game's slightly-off physics.
The music is good and fits and didn't get in the way. The audio is good as well, but I'm not crazy about the generic jump sound.
The design of each area is kind of simple, but I think I prefer that because you visit them multiple times, and climbing the smoke stacks and the moving platform area stands out as overly complicated, especially because you can be half way up to one of the exploding stacks and need to leave to turn the power back on. There's a jump in the blue pipe room that feels kind of cheap because the ceiling is low.
Many of the issues are easily forgive in the context of a 72 hour game jam! There is so much here for yall to be proud of, it's okay if it's not all perfect.
Overall this is a very good entry! Good job everyone!
Hey there! This game was really amazing to play! Thanks for joining us live!
I finally had the time to come back and rate everything I played so far!
