This is really quite good!

I like the idea, and the execution is very polished too. Great work.

fun game to learn morse code!!

circleoflife 2026-04-22 08:00

I didn't understand what I was supposed to do. Maybe I missed something? I was told to send a signal. I sent the letter E and it skipped to the next level, where I was also told to send a signal. But which one? I tried different ones, but nothing seemed to work. Maybe I really did misunderstand something. I also found a bug in the game. If you turn off the music and then send any signal, even an empty one, all the settings are reset.

yoko-san 2026-04-22 08:06

Nice game, but the learning curve is a bit steep.

Did I miss the explanation of how to use the "X"?

Perhaps you should add more detailed instructions to the game description :)

caeonosphere 2026-04-22 08:42

I won, and it would appear that I am... an All Star?

This was hard as hell, even as a Picross fan! Really liked the twists: the inversion of rows, and of course the whole thing being all "1" and "2+" clues. I definitely used trial and error in a couple spots, and I assume that's needed? Pretty hard to avoid that, all within 72 hours.

Well done, fellas!

2026-04-22 10:25

I don't understand how to use X and why it sometimes turns into a letter instead of removing the square. I'd like more information on how to use it. Good job! Interesting idea!

chybby 2026-04-22 12:37

@circleoflife @yoko-san @jastrzebska Thanks for the feedback everyone! I've added some info to the description :)

braktheman 2026-04-22 14:40

Really interesting take on picross. The inversion rules broke my brain a bit. There's definitely some interesting concepts at play here that could be explored.

As a bit of a nonogram junky, it's nice to have a fresh way to look at it and I had a lot of fun playing through this. Smart puzzle designs.

Would have loved the ability to recolor certain tiles or lock in rows as complete while I experiment on others but that's just nitpicking wishful thinking in a jam setting.

Game feels really polished for being made in three days.

Great entry! Good job, team!

erilhir 2026-04-22 16:16

OK, this game is brilliant! I really love Picross and I think you’ve come up with a super twist. I must admit I was really surprised and delighted when I saw the ‘vertical’ row added to the horizontal words I’d already found. At the moment, I’m stuck on “Remarkable” / “Town”; I’ve got one letter left to correct, but I can’t seem to figure it out. I’ll come back to it a bit later, as I’m really keen to see how it ends ! ;)

I've just noted three areas for improvement / post-gamejam: - the speed at which text appears in speech bubbles (it could be a little faster) - sometimes the speech bubble stays on the screen a little too long, which hides the grid - the ability to go back a step or two will be perfect

Well done anyway, the game is really enjoyable !!

Edit : Finished it ! And I talked about it to my friends :)

grummelchen 2026-04-22 16:51

Perfect scores from me! Incredible! Even educational!

redphoenix2412 2026-04-22 17:07

Wow, this game is so good! I love puzzle games, and incorporating Morse code is a great idea! It's the best LD game I've played so far this year! Great job!

nabil-shelim 2026-04-22 18:07

Absolutely loved your take on the theme and the game. It took me a bit of time to understand how to form the dots and dashes but once that clicked it was really fun to solve the puzzles and form the words. Overall, a brilliant and well-designed entry.

ingviild 2026-04-24 18:24

I couldn't immediately figure out how to form a signal in the cells. It turned out to be quite an interesting puzzle, one you can get stuck into.

I like your game! The graphics, audio, puzzles are all very well ironed out. Only two points of feedback: - It could really use a level select screen though. I got stuck at the level where one of the words were "remarkable". I just could not fit the last letter into the signal  - The text for the dialogue is a bit slow for my taste

jiri-one 2026-04-26 07:56

Really cool concept! took a little while to figure out to do on the first level but once figured out its quite simple. The vertical row really makes for a fun puzzle game!

astoeth 2026-04-26 17:32

Really cool and well executed ! Congrats !

fatality67 2026-04-26 17:35

Nice and cozy puzzle game !

Simple yet effective, i like that the music fades out a little when listening to the code.

geeni 2026-04-26 17:42

That was insanely fun! i got very much stuck after the inversion but had tons of fun. Only compaints are some very small details, like how text is very slow so you need to wait just a tiny while before beginning solving a new level and id love to have level select so i could later go back and try to concuer the reverse levels but otherwise this felt like a perfect entry.

scaredy-cat 2026-04-26 17:43

Very fun and well executed! Honestly I could see this being a good wordle-style mobile game if you guys were to expand on it. No comments from me, great job :)

justinmullin 2026-04-26 19:41

WHEW! That was a blast. It took me at least an hour to get through it all, but every puzzle was engaging in a unique way. I was very impressed by the initial puzzle mechanics and already prepared to gush about the game, but the later mechanics just continued to add interest. Inverting rows is _diabolical_ but so very fascinating to piece together. That final puzzle threw me for a loop several times, but was the most fun I had out of the whole set. I suspect every puzzle could be solved through deduction without backtracking, but for the first half of the game I was definitely doing a fair bit of guessing. I really enjoyed hitting the point where the puzzles were too challenging to guess by default and I was forced to get smarter.

I did frequently find myself wishing I had some way to mark cells as "must be lit", or rows and columns as "must be inverted/not inverted", as I ended up needing to take notes outside the game a couple of times to record that information, but this was a minor thing.

I loved that the only way to know what letter belonged in a row/column was to hear the morse code. It really helped to cement in the theme, and I found it fun as a refresher on a bit of morse too, even though learning the letter associations wasn't actually important to the puzzle at all.

The art, sound and music are all very simple, but fit quite well and none were distracting. All the interactions worked perfectly for me, and I didn't find any bugs at all. Solid entry, extremely enjoyable, and very impressive. Nice work, and thanks for the game!

pmarincak 2026-04-26 23:54

This was such a lovely well done game. I appreciated the building of all the mechanics over time and how they were introduced. The music did well to not drown out the sound of the morse code. Also appreciated the UI would tell you if something was correct or not, as well as the letters to help signify the sentence/words you were creating. The visual element with the morse playing also helped a lot in understanding what was a long and short beep.

My only source of criticism is that the text boxes went through the dialogue a little too slowly.

Great job!

jhax 2026-04-27 21:49

Super clever puzzle! Really loved this, to the point it's quite hard to find fault! I think my only real criticism is in line with what others have said: it'd be nice to be able to mark spaces you're sure of, and channels you're sure need to be inverted or not

scrapmetal 2026-04-28 02:22

The art and music overall create a very polished feeling experience. Unfortunately, I didn't quite understand it. I tried the first time and must have failed, then no matter what I entered, I could only reset the puzzle.

I also couldn't figure out how to get the dialogue to skip ahead faster. It felt pretty slow to read the text.

The buttons feel very tactile though. Which I love.

outstar 2026-05-03 14:52

Omg, I love games like this, I could see myself doodling these puzzles for hours on Steam Deck or phone! I wish there was a way to speed up the text in the intro, it was very slow. I was also confused what to do in the first puzzle and it took me a bit (and reading the description on LD page!) to get what I'm doing. Once I got the hang of it, it was a breeze though :) Really liked the overall aesthetic and the idea!

tetracold 2026-05-03 16:33

really interesting integration of the theme through the picross gameplay. I also thought the text boxes being translated in morse was also a really cute touch

some of the later puzzles were too much for me, I just couldn't figure them out, but that's entirely a me problem. I liked the gameplay tho! I thought the puzzles did an excellent job keeping the gameplay fresh by introducing new twists and mechanics with each one

akuta-zehy 2026-05-03 17:08

Though most of the problems don't have a unique solution, the difficulty levels are well designed.

A good combination of nonogram and morse code, nice entry!

zidan-banan 2026-05-03 18:05

A very good puzzle and a great combination of mechanics I know how difficult puzzles are, as I focus exclusively on puzzles

Excellent interpretation of nonograms. The variable dash length adds a touch of flavor, although I'm not sure it keeps the puzzle clean. Apparently, there may be multiple solutions, and not all moves can be reached by following clear logic and process of elimination

The reverse mechanic is also interesting. At first, I tried entering the string in the opposite direction, and then I tried changing the short signals to long ones. There was a bit of frustration, and only then did I understand how it should be done.

In any case, this is a great puzzle, which I completed with great pleasure. I was even curious about how much you enjoy puzzles, where you get your inspiration, and whether you've developed other puzzles. I didn't find many puzzles on your itch

I want to start by saying this is one of the best games I’ve played in this game jam. It absolutely nails the theme. While other entries have explored similar ideas with Morse code or radio frequencies, this one stands out because everything feels so well integrated into the gameplay.

At first, the game seemed simple, but once it introduced crossing Morse signals both vertically and horizontally, it became really interesting and challenging.

Overall, this is a highly engaging mini-game—one I’d actually choose to play just for fun. Without a doubt, one of the strongest entries for me!

almost 2026-05-03 22:58

The text at the start is really slow! Is there maybe something funny about the timing? The intro messages took almost a minute.

The concept of nonogram-like puzzles matching morse code is a neat use of the theme. It would have been nice to have a way to make some notes about what pattern I want for a column once I have identified the correct letter.

fabelay 2026-05-04 09:31

What an incredibly polished result. The music, the muting on beeps being played, the puzzle depth. Could be a mobile game just right off the batch! The only feedback I found: - on itch for some reason the window was too large and not everything was visible (on a 4k monitor), but it worked fine in fullscreen - the instructions come in too slow - i didnt understand immediately, that its irrelevant when beeps start/how long long ones are. Probably my fault, lol.

Amazing game!

jvdwijk 2026-05-04 20:34

Nice entry! The game was very polished, and the game had quite a good difficulty curve (Levels kept getting more difficult instead of random difficulty spikes).

Very interesting concept as well, and the art style was very fitting.

If you continue this I'd recommend adding some speed sliders, especially the dialogue could have been faster for me.

kulfy 2026-05-06 11:42

Really nice puzzle ! Loved, then hated, then loved again the inversion twist :) Nice chill music.

A few things that could improve the game IMO : - speed that dialog box please ! life is too short for this - make the cross appear with right click ; left click only for toggling the box (on mobile, maybe one tap for filling and holding for the cross ? or just keeping the current layout)

I would have loved to be able to save a position (when I know it's true and I did not do any guessing), and be able to restore it (when I made a guess, then realized it was not possible). I took screenshots instead, but it's more tedious.

Bravo !

mikan 2026-05-07 09:59

Awesome nonogram! I have to use a notebook to write down the clues, which is a bit troublesome

ghpxi 2026-05-07 16:44

that was a lot of fun, great job!

python-b5 2026-05-08 08:47

This was great! I didn't quite finish it (the game said there were "a few left" on the level I stopped at), since the levels started to become too difficult to finish within a reasonable timeframe, but I enjoyed what I played. The atmosphere was relaxing and conducive to solving puzzles, which was certainly helped by the music.

I will admit that the later levels did start to frustrate me, though. They just got so large, and provided so little information (short patterns for long rows/columns), that solving them took a lot of trial and error. I couldn't make logical deductions at the outset like I could on the earlier levels, instead only being able to see the consequences of my placements after filling out the majority of the board. That made the levels very time-consuming, so I didn't feel I'd enjoy pushing through the rest of them.

Regardless, I enjoyed playing this overall! It feels very polished, and the amount of content present is impressive for a jam game.
