Looks interesting, but maybe there is something wrong with the web-version?

For example, there are no text-boxes or item-hints like in the screenshots provided. The game freezes when you run into that person on the upper floor(?).

Okay, the itch.io version seems to work better :)

I really like the setting, audio, and atmosphere!

Maybe you should display the language selection first. I only found it by chance in the settings because I noticed the screenshots were in English :)

@yoko-san Thank you so much for playing and for the kind feedback! Really glad to hear the itch.io version works better and that you liked the setting, audio, and atmosphere :)

That’s a very good point about the language selection. We’ll consider showing it before the game starts, or making it much more visible instead of hiding it in the settings. Thanks for pointing that out!

Not bad, the game works and I completed it.

I also had some problems finding the english version at first, but managed to find it  Very nice work on the music and the story! The graphics were also pretty fitting! Gameplaywise maybe there could have been a few more hints were to go, because at some point I had to walk quite a while  I found the glasses, I think 2 keys but didn't manage to find the keys for the 4th floor, only some additional notes. Then I surprisingly escaped at the ground floor, I guess I missed something? But from the atmosphere a very nice game!

As said before by others, it needs searching randomly to find the english version, maybe you should set it by default instead of the other language I played several times, and the second one I ran into a soft-lock and had to die in order to restart, because I had opened 4th floor *before* getting the glasses, and then, when I came back the door was locked again but I had not the key anymore - I think either the player should not be able to open the 4th floor door before getting the glasses (for example by showing the 4th floor door key only with green lense), or either the 4th floor door still stay open, or either the key does not disappear I like this kind of game (explore/horror), I like the arts and sounds, however I didn't find how to finish the game, I've found lots of papers and hints to understand the story behind, I saw the scene with the girl dying, but then I don't know what to do, I always ends being catch by the monster in the last corridor…

Pretty impressive game for an LD jam! It's very moody (music contributes a lot) and the artwork is really cool. At times I found it a bit unclear where to go next, but wandering around helped keeping me on my toes. :)

I made progress, though I could not get by the evil guard (if that's what he is) despite multiple attempts. It would help to have a message stating "Game Over" or similar when one is caught by him—the game just seems to freeze instead.

Regardless, between the graphics and the music, you created a sinister, disturbing mood. The occasional weeping added to the ambiance effectively. A lot of imagination went into this game.
