hey guys, i took it of and will reupload it at the extra category, because it is unfinished and confuses players XD
Great entry! This is probably the most polished project I have played in this round so far. The art style and sound design are both at a really high level. The gameplay loop feels relaxing and stressful at the same time, which comes across as very well balanced.
I could also see this working really well on mobile devices if you decide to keep developing it!
Great game! A really good execution of the concept. The controls feel good, and the gameplay loop is fun.
I immediately felt that a shorter red/green interval could work really well, or even making it slightly random so the player has to stay alert at all times.
Its also great to hear that you want to keep working on it after the rating phase. I think it has a lot of potential if you continue expanding it.
Cool and quite original concept. A short intro or clearer guidance would make it easier to get into for me.
Still, theres definitely something interesting here. I had a good time with it!
Really great interpretation of the theme! The gameplay works well, and its honestly amazing that you made all of this from scratch, highest respect!
One thing you could try adding would be a high score for level times, which would greatly increase replay value. A sprint mode could also be fun, where repeating the same whistle command a second time makes the character move faster, allowing experienced players to go for speedruns.
But overall, a truly fantastic game!
Awesome submission! The pixel art is incredible and the level design is genuinely excellent. You can immediately tell how much work and attention to detail went into it!
Great submission. I really like the atmosphere and the soundtrack. Even the longer walking sections didnt bother me, although you could maybe try increasing the walk speed a little.
The mouse cursor issue has already been mentioned, but that would have been my biggest feedback point as well. Cursor.lockState = CursorLockMode.Locked; would be a great addition so the cursor doesnt distract from the game and the player can look around freely in the web build.
But I genuinely had fun with it and I managed to rescue the crew member :)
Very cool and relaxing game! Great use of the theme. I really like the art style, especially the sky.
A bit more visual feedback would definitely help so the player knows when they can use the ladder and similar interactions. But I really like the game loop overall.
The boat reminded me of Jaws š I hope you continue working on this project after the jam!
Really cool idea and great controls, it feels very smooth to play.
For my taste, the progression moves a bit too quickly. I think it would be even more engaging if upgrades required catching signals for a bit longer, so you can sink more into the loop.
But overall, I really enjoyed it!
Really great idea and an excellent use of the theme. Things get stressful very quickly, but in a fun and positive way! The only criticism I have is that some situations can feel a little unfair at times.
Congratulations on this awesome game!
Nice game. It would probably work really well on a phone or iPad. As mentioned above, tooltips would definitely help players get oriented a bit faster at the beginning, but I had fun with it.
Nice work, looks really good!
Great game idea, and it fits the theme well!
As feedback: I would have liked to be able to use WASD for movement, as it feels more modern, especially since the mouse could handle looking around. Switching over to the arrow keys felt a bit awkward.
Also, it was sometimes quite hard to hit the exact spot where the wave gets accepted. A bit more leniency there might make the gameplay feel more satisfying.
Other than that, its a really great project for such a short time. I am always impressed by what can be created using just primitives!
Very relaxing game, you can really be proud of it! The soundtrack is a great choice, and the controls feel genuinely fun.
I ended up playing it all the way through right away and had a great time with it. Thank you!
Really great idea that creates an amazing atmosphere. I am also from a rural area, and driving home in the evening really does look exactly like this. I also found it very realistic how the game shows how hard it is to stay on track when you focus on something else, like the radio or something off the road.
I would love to see you continue working on this and add voice acting for the radio hosts, that would create an incredible atmosphere! Congratulations on this great project!
Wow, this is not the kind of scope you would expect for a game jam, really impressive! The atmosphere is fantastic, especially thanks to the pixel art and sound design.
The game is quite challenging. I had to check the solution a couple of times. But to be fair, its late and I am probably not at my sharpest š
It strongly reminded me of the mood of "The Last Door" games. Congratulations on this great project!
Its not the type of game I usually play, but itās really well done! The atmosphere and visuals, along with the well chosen color palette, are really impressive.
Really awesome pixel art style! Your whole game looks like an incredible amount of work for such a short amount of time. And on top of that, everything feels extremely polished. Seriously impressive. Congratulations to you!
You guys have my greatest respect. Being able to build humor this good into a game is an art form. The voice recordings are pure gold!
P.S. During my playthrough, no influencer was harmed...
Great game and take on the theme! The screenshot was really helpful to show exactly how the building mechanic works.
I think theres a lot more potential in this idea. If I were you, I would definitely consider developing it further. Very well done!
It also took me a while to understand what the goal was, but its a really good idea. Respect for the amount of content you managed to create in such a short time. The user interface has a very cool style!
A really great idea and an excellent use of the theme. I love the 3D model of the boy, it fits the setting perfectly. I hope you keep working on the game after the jam, because with some more polish this could easily become a fantastic full game!
Cool project! i like the graphics a lot but the audio is peak! the radio transmissions in space sound incredibly good and really add to the athmosphere.
Nice game! It looks like a lot of work went into it. Congratulations on finishing it!
Awesome little game! Loved the art style and the switching gameplay was a cool twist.
I dont know what they were feeding you back then, but its a shame I didnt get the same thing. You are a gifted game developer with a natural eye for aesthetics and game feel.
While playing, I immediately thought that you must have also made Metal Undergrowth before I even checked. I discovered that one during the last game jam and was completely blown away by it too! And this one is every bit as good as that one, congratulations on another fantastic project!
Great game. The atmosphere and music choices are fantastic!
I would suggest making the selection beep a bit more subtle and quieter, as it can pull you out of the immersion a little. Also, this was probably just a time constraint, but instead of the sphere, a more subtle highlight for interactive objects could work really well.
Overall, though, awesome game. The camera movement toward the church at the end, combined with the sound, felt really cinematic.
Really cool game! Nice art style and relaxing soundtrack. Just saw it another guy playing yet, but i will give it a try at home.
Really cool game, congrats on finishing it! I think it would be great if you made the shadows slightly brighter, so you can still make out rough shapes in the dark instead of it being completely black. But aside from that, the atmosphere is excellent.
Really great use of the theme, I had a lot of fun with it!
I also think you balanced it very well. At first I thought, okay, this feels a bit easy, but if you are not careful, things can quickly become properly hectic and stressful.
Congratulations on this successful project!
Really creative and fitting take on the theme! With more time, you could turn this into something even bigger with lots of funny ideas, like humorous dialogues between mythical creatures.
In addition to the bug mentioned above, I also ran into an issue where a receiving call was overwritten by a new call in the same slot.
But overall, for the polished experience and the great idea, I am happy to give you a good rating. I had fun playing it!
Really polished platformer. The movement feels great, the combat system is satisfying, and the sound effects are very well chosen. I will still try to give some feedback in case it helps:
I noticed that during wall jumps, if you reach the exact corner of a ledge, it can feel a bit glitchy, probably because the character is rapidly switching between two states there.
One small thing I would also prefer is being able to run fully off-screen before the next level loads. Right now it feels a bit like youāre hitting a level boundary while the screen fades and loads.
But thats criticism on a high level. I had a lot of fun with it!
Very cool project! The style looks well polished and appealing. The sound design also draws you in right away. Providing note sheets is a really great idea. I would love to see that more often in puzzle games!
Haha, great game! Itās a bit confusing at first, but once you play for a bit, you get the hang of the controls. The theme and humor are awesome!
I sometimes ran into an issue where I would immediately collect something again right after dropping it, which made it hard to deliver the thoughts properly. Also, some subtle background music with increasing tension could work really well.
Congrats on putting this together so well!
Really great interpretation of the theme! I really liked the different aliens. fantastic designs.
The music is incredible and adds so much to the atmosphere in a very positive way. I hope you keep working on this game, because I think theres a big audience that would love this kind of experience!
Great project! I am also a big fan of pixel art and retro games, so I had a good time with it.
As feedback: you could consider showing the shot as an actual projectile that travels through the air. That would make it clearer how and when the player deals or receives damage.
The jumping also feels a bit strange at times. When I jump from a standstill or while just starting to accelerate, I still have air control, but when I jump at full speed, I suddenly have none. I would suggest giving the player some control there as well, so they can still make small corrections mid-air.
Other than that, a lovely little story and a great submission!
What a simple idea that was turned into a brilliant game, really cool! I genuinely had a lot of fun with it.
Echoes... at last....
Very cool interpretation of the theme! It took me a moment to fully understand it, but once it clicked, I was all in. By the end I was so focused that I was just as out of breath as our dude on the beach. I had fun with it.
To stay in "Cast Away" jargon, I say T.Hanks for this submission ;)
Good use of the theme! I had fun with it.
Wow, this is an incredibly well made project!
The interface art style really pulls you into the world. I was genuinely impressed during the first trip to Andromeda by the cool ālightspeedā effect and the way the UI colors changed to match the system. Please keep working on this!
P.S. Just as feedback: for me, it unfortunately didnt open in the web player on Chrome after the loading bar had fully finished.
Cool take on the theme! Thats the first genuinely justified epilepsy warning I have seen in a game XD
Glad you noticed that @yoko-san
Those TV sounds are actually audio cues. After you call your dad, youāll start to faintly hear parts of the TV program depending on how close you are to the correct antenna position. The clearer it gets, the better your position.
I am planning to tweak this so it turns more into a hotācold feedback system once you have found the general signal range.
Hey! Thanks you all for your feedback!
@awp ,you mentioned that the game would really benefit from some sound, i have actually added some audio since then. I know the jam is technically over, so I hope thats not seen as cheating. I just wanted to improve the experience based on the feedback I received from you guys.
If you feel like giving it another try, I would love to hear what you think now! :)
@mrtroy glad you liked it. the kid and the dad are actually voiced by me. I just recorded them with a microphone and changed the pitch a bit š
@filgru @scrapmetal @chaseplays Thank you so much for the awesome feedback! I am really happy to hear you enjoyed the game and that the idea worked so well for you!
@chaseplays thanks as well for the note about the audio update, thats a fair point. I have now added a note in the description above to make it clear that it was added after the deadline.
@automatonvx Thank you, I really appreciate it! I am glad you liked the idea and pixel art style.
And thanks for the fair note about the audio update. I have updated the note above to mention that muting the sound is essentially the original jam version but I will keep separate versions in mind for future jams.
@zevwax Very cool! I am currently also working on polishing my game for a post-jam update, including adding 2D lights. But your result looks even better. I think itās really awesome! :)
Great game! Trying out all the dance moves is really fun. This has a lot of potential if you keep working on it!
PS: I managed to pick up 10 girls in one run⦠almost like real life š„²
Really great game idea. I would love to see this developed further, theres definitely potential for some interesting tactical levels.
I think giving the obstacles collision could add a lot, since it would force players to position their squads more strategically so they can provide supporting fire.

I had a lot of fun playing it!
Shut up and take my money! š¤Æšø
Nice game and a good use of the theme. Its very calming with the underwater sound, and the signal effect actually becomes really important in the spike caves!
Incredibly cool art style!
Very impressive project! The gameplay is genuinely fun and works really well. The driving physics feel solid, and its crazy how much content you managed to fit into the project. The level is absolutely huge for a single weekend! I also loved the little details, the glass shader in the gas stations and the easter egg pictures haha.
Some suggestions for improvement: I think making fuel a bit more limited could make it even more interesting. During my whole playthrough, I never really had a problem with it. For example, it could be cool if right at the start you didnt have enough fuel to reach the first gas station, so you need to use the canister to fetch some. Or maybe there could simply be less fuel available overall, making it more important to search cars for leftover gas.
The āHold LMBā interaction also felt a little too long in some places, or sometimes unnecessary. Maybe a shorter hold duration or even a different key for actions in general could work better. But thats just my personal impression.
The project is really top-tier! I had a lot of fun with it!
Super funny game! Itās a lot of fun smashing office furniture into huge hordes, honestly exactly the kind of thing Iād sometimes like to do in the office too š
You could try adding a bit more lighting to the scene. Right now, despite the 3D graphics, everything feels a little flat because it looks unlit. A few well placed lights could really boost the atmosphere.
@technicalitycreations Yeah, I also think it looks better now! It already looked great before, but the shadow adds an extra sense of grounding to everything. Now its much clearer where objects are positioned in the space. I like it!
The game was really great! After playing for a while, you really start to get into the gameplay loop.
I think it would be even better if you added a few layers to the sound, so you can tell when you are getting closer and narrow things down more easily. Also, highlighting objects when you can pick them up would be great for player feedback.
But I had a lot of fun! I think I need to buy a metal detector now and head out to the fields š
Great idea to connect the theme through a sequence of minigames. I love the art style, pixel art always works for me haha.
Some of the minigames are really tough though. I was stuck on the broken radio for ages. But overall, its a very successful project and I had fun with it!
Really creative idea how you mixed the bullet hell shooter with the theme!
For feedback: the controller drone often gets stuck in a corner, or stays there for a long time without moving out again. And sometimes it looks like you can hit yourself. It doesnt deal damage, but it still causes the laser to disappear instantly.
Despite that, its still a very well executed project!
A really interesting concept and a very good use of the theme. I was a bit confused at the beginning because it wasnt immediately clear whether the game was realtime or turnbased, so I died quite a few times because of that.
I would also love to see WASD controls as an option, since that feels more intuitive nowadays.
But overall, a really good project, visually as well!
You built a really great atmosphere here with the visuals and the underwater sound design.
I know time was limited, but it would have been amazing if the whole UI had also used a darker metallic texture, so everything matched that same oppressive mood.
I had a lot of fun with it, a very promising project!
Good driving physics, the vehicle really feels like it has weight to it. I would also love to be able to move the camera freely a bit more, just to admire the vehicle itself.
I ran into an issue a few times on the way to the first beacon where the screen suddenly turned completely black, and only the UI remained visible, like the speed display.
Still, its a good concept and a nice interpretation of the theme!
Really great game! I had a lot of fun during the playthrough. The upgrades are very motivating and make you want to keep playing.
Most of my feedback is just suggestions for things I would have liked to try out.
- The controls felt a bit unusual at first. I expected W to always move the spaceship forward and A/D to rotate, but I got used to it quickly. Still, it might be worth testing with playtesters. - I would probably make the purple crystals only always spawn at the last asteroid of a level, so you are encouraged to progress through upgrades to complete it. - At the screen edges, its a bit unclear where the level ends because the borders are the same black as the background. Slightly differentiating the color would help make the loop boundary more readable.
But overall this is all high-level feedback. I think you have made a really great game!
Great game. The foggy, snowy atmosphere was captured really well!
Really cool interpretation of the theme and extremely interesting visuals.
The heart minigame is also a genuinely great idea. Overall, the game creates a very strange and unsettling atmosphere, but in a good way. I really had fun with it!
Really well made zombie shooter! The way you integrated finding the signal is also very creative. The overall package of gameplay, sound, and the great visuals is genuinely impressive. You can be proud of this one!
Really cool platformer. Im not sure the theme is fully reflected, but the gameplay is still a lot of fun. Good thing the bro is with you most of the time, otherwise I would be scared with that limited visibility XD
It took me a little while to figure out what I was supposed to do, and I am not sure if the camera look was intended that way or if it wasnt working properly for me. But the atmosphere is really great.
The idea that the office chair spins when you stand up is awesome, I love that detail!
Really great idea! I could also see this working really well in a submarine setting. The interface is well done, it really feels like you are controlling a ship.
I dont have much feedback, since everything works surprisingly well for how complex it seems. The only moment of confusion I had was in the main menu, where I initially thought āStartā and āMissionā were two separate buttons XD
Great job on the project!
The game creates a really awesome atmosphere. I love retro-style games like this!
I also found the game loop really interesting. I played the fixed version right away, and it worked great overall, except for one small issue. Sometimes it would freeze when pressing the decrypt button, and I had to open the Task Manager to get it working again.
As for gameplay feedback, I think it could be nice if you could take notes on the rules board or on a notepad, for example, to keep track of the current number or make little tally marks for matches. But maybe thats also part of the challenge, not having too many tools, could be worth testing.
I really enjoyed it though and will give it a high rating. The theme is implemented really well!
Very interesting concept! I really like the art style and the sound.
One thing that could be cool: letting the player tune the radio with the mouse wheel, like searching for the right frequency on a real radio. That idea just came to me while playing.
Congrats on the great project!
Nice atmosphere, models, and soundtrack!
I saw this several times during the rating period, but only just got around to playing it now. Really a great idea and an excellent use of the theme! I love the visuals and the atmosphere inside the control room.
