Echolocation is a genuinely awesome and unique take on the theme, and it fits the vibe of a dark dungeon crawler. You could have put more focus on enemy variety instead of item variety, as there aren't many opportunities to use items anyway, but this seems to be your first jam, and going a bit out of scope is part of the process. Nice job.

@alaah thank you for your feedback! as for the game over/you win screens, the buttons should read as C and X instead of V and C, during the final stretch we ended up rebinding some of the keys since a ZXCV layout no longer made sense as the game is controlled by 3 buttons and not 4. I thought I fixed all the text but clearly I did not. sorry for the confusion

Cool roguelike game. In my first try I didn't understand how to play and start fighting with boss. And also game don't open in full screen but actually I liked it)

Oh wow, an actual roguelike! Been a while since I played one of those. Really nice interpretation of "signal".

Cool game, at first i thought it was impossible until i got a run where i get found a weapon. so it feels like a bit of RNG in the first level. but once i got my long sword it was very fun to play.

Neat concept! I love a good classic roguelike. There wasn't a ton of depth to the game past the implementation of the theme, but I found the echolocation idea innovative. It was pretty easy - I finished my first run with six of the extra life items - but I enjoyed the playthrough, and the different sorts of weapons were a neat thing to play around with.

While playing, I could see enemies closing in on the radar, which created a real sense of tension and atmosphere. The visuals and mechanics are clean and simple. Great job!

Could it really be a randomly generated roguelike dungeon? That's quite impressive!

We had a very similar idea, but decided against it because we couldn't get the idea for the loop (with enemies). Glad to see someone found a way to implement the "sonar" like vision. Very enjoyable!

Fun little game! I couldn't progress much at first until I found a good weapon, so it might have some RNG with the level generation. Speaking of which, I love the randomly generated system of the dungeon layout, it really added the depth when retrying. Though the sonar detection mechanic could have some improvements as I'm still confused of how it actually work. Overall, nice work for a first jam guys!

Nice and smooth roguelike. Just needs a bit of time to understand it.

A really interesting concept and a very good use of the theme. I was a bit confused at the beginning because it wasnt immediately clear whether the game was realtime or turnbased, so I died quite a few times because of that.

I would also love to see WASD controls as an option, since that feels more intuitive nowadays.

But overall, a really good project, visually as well!

Man, that’s so cool! A very polished game for being made by just two people in only 72 hours! Very fun to play and original, congratulations!

Needed a bit of time to understand the game at first, but had a blast once we got it. The concept of the sonar is really cool and creates tension during the game which is awesome.

classic roguelike vibe with a fresh spin sonar mechanic makes you feel like daredevil just wish there were more enemy types instead of 50 different swords
