Simple and fun - I really enjoyed it!
IT'S A GREAT IDEA WITH DAD. This is a game of life to some extent. It's a very fan idea, but I would like to see the implementation in a different way, so that we point the antenna to the sides and catch the signal that way. But it's so cool, I liked it.
At first, I didn't notice the light on the antenna. The game idea is great!
Good idea for a game. Simple enough to play. Hard to do in 3 days but the game would have really benefited from some sounds even just simple beeps and boops.
Brilliant idea, made me laugh too, was fun to play nice work!
Nice very clean experience! Good touches and fun!
I love that idea! :D
Sometimes you hear TV sounds. Are those audio cues, or is it just random?
Glad you noticed that @yoko-san
Those TV sounds are actually audio cues. After you call your dad, you’ll start to faintly hear parts of the TV program depending on how close you are to the correct antenna position. The clearer it gets, the better your position.
I am planning to tweak this so it turns more into a hot–cold feedback system once you have found the general signal range.
Cute and fun litte game. I love the idea. Nice work!
Funny game. I liked the dad's frustrated grunts and the boy's yells. Minimalistic pixelart is well done.
That's really original! It works great. I really like the fact that you can spam the old man and lose that way

Hey! Thanks you all for your feedback!
@awp ,you mentioned that the game would really benefit from some sound, i have actually added some audio since then. I know the jam is technically over, so I hope thats not seen as cheating. I just wanted to improve the experience based on the feedback I received from you guys.
If you feel like giving it another try, I would love to hear what you think now! :)
cool game, i love how simple is it and polished
Fun take on a platformer! Great way to incorporate the theme and I enjoyed the simple, but well-executed art. The high score was a nice touch - that definitely motivated me to play through several times. Nice work!
Fun interpretation of the theme, I loved the TV channels lol
The kind of father I don't ever strive to be one day!
Definitely simple and sweet. Love the polish and the effects, wished there were some more cues like maybe audio, it does feel a bit like luck considering how few chances we get. The father really is way too moody! Great entry.
Cool! Brought me back to my childhood a bit haha It would be nice to add a little variety, but even without that, it's really great!
Wow! The idea is really cool — I liked it a lot! The graphics are great, the sounds are pleasant, and the controls feel responsive. Perfect for a jam! 10/10!
Dad!
@goddoesplaydice HOLD IT!
@anszwa I love this. The "DAD!" SFX has me laughing so damn hard.
@mrtroy glad you liked it. the kid and the dad are actually voiced by me. I just recorded them with a microphone and changed the pitch a bit 😅
Haha!! What a brilliant game idea! I absolutely love it. It’s incredibly fun to play, everything runs smoothly, and it all just clicks. Huge congrats!
This was great!!! LOVE the simple but super effective art. Audio is super funny. Controls are fantastic. :ok_hand:
That tv sux tho.
I do wish I could have a few more clues to find the right spot, but yelling Dad every few min is a part of the experience. LOL.
I'm now going to need therapy from this toxic relationship.
Maybe my favorite take on the theme from this whole jam!

Reached 21 points. Feeling pretty proud of that. Felt like I had it down to a science by the end haha. Had a lot of fun with it!
One thing I will say is if you added extra audio later, I'd definitely at least write a note in your game description up above to indicate what you added. I do feel like it matters since we're rating you on audio.
But other than that, awesome work! :)
@filgru @scrapmetal @chaseplays Thank you so much for the awesome feedback! I am really happy to hear you enjoyed the game and that the idea worked so well for you!
@chaseplays thanks as well for the note about the audio update, thats a fair point. I have now added a note in the description above to make it clear that it was added after the deadline.
An absolutely perfect take on the theme! I thought the audio was just incredible - it gave the characters an insane amount of personality. Good job!
Got up to a score of 5, fun and clean game and a nice take on the theme! Everything worked, sounds were nice, graphics were fitting - would've liked more levels to play, but for a Jam game this is all right the way it is! Well done!
Nice polished game. Really liked dads sound and the tv elements i could hear during play. I liked it. Good entry.
Fits the theme. Easy mechanics and great audio.
Very funny theme interpretation, loved the grunts and calls. Simple, fun and polished, nice job
Very funny game. Nice
A fun idea, with some cute pixel art to match. The sounds do add quite a bit, probably technically should have a version at the deadline for rating, and maybe a separate post-jam one for fun. Not the end of teh world though. Nice work anyway.
Nice simple game, I like it!
@automatonvx Thank you, I really appreciate it! I am glad you liked the idea and pixel art style.
And thanks for the fair note about the audio update. I have updated the note above to mention that muting the sound is essentially the original jam version but I will keep separate versions in mind for future jams.
addicting game!! nice!! could get pass 4 :(
super funny game :) works really well with the theme, I also enjoyed the pixel art!! :art:
Simple and effective! Like a jam should be. It's also quite hard. Not sure what could be done about it though, without making the game too easy.
Good work!
My third eye opened and I could sense the signal.

All in all, it's a solid game that executes on its core idea really well. I particularly liked the god ray highlighting the antenna whenever it ends up at the correct spot. Nicely done!
such a angry man
Amazing! Well done! Love the Channels, how they play a random audio that really feels like dad is watch some random stuff!
haha, great idea! it fits the theme perfectly and the implementation is pretty funny. at first, i didn't understand how to search for a signal, but then i realized you can ask your dad when you press the S key and he'll tell you where to move antenna. my highest score was 5, then dad would get angry and swear, just like in real life, love it. great job!

Made this in 12 minutes in Photoshop; hope you enjoy it!
@zevwax Very cool! I am currently also working on polishing my game for a post-jam update, including adding 2D lights. But your result looks even better. I think it’s really awesome! :)
Nice entry, I love the dad's sounds & channels.
Dropping a long over due comment here. Really appreciate you giving me the opportunity to play this game [on stream.](https://www.youtube.com/live/fCwnxSEAlQY?si=MIWQBGsawbAkUygH&t=15490)
My thoughts are shared in the VOD. Hope we see you back for LD60. ✌
Great simple little game. Very funny, great artwork and game feel. GG!
