great atmosphere and beautifully made, although i had to check the walkthrough to get how the typewriter works.
Really enjoyed this! I don't see point-and-click games in jams too often, so I was happy to see one. I wasn't quite able to figure out the typewriter, but I had a good time with what I did play; I'll probably come back to this later to finish it off.
I'm still not sure how the typewriter works ; v; I messed with the radio frequency and clicked everywhere I could on the typewriter and couldn't seem to get it to work!
The ambience and vibes are wonderful, I'll come back if I can figure it out hehe.
@ungew0llt @python-b5 @chelc Thank you for your feedback. We fixed the typewriter. Maybe you want to give our game another try? :)
Wow, it's voiced. Nice job
An engaging seek-and-click quest. Great music, good voice acting. An interesting story. Overall, the game turned out great.
You guys are great!
The way you used limited pixels to convey so much emotion is impressive.
Great pont and click puzzle game. I loved the revealed code on the window specifically. And also great voice acting.
Very difficult puzzles, but overall I liked the game
I beat the game without any hints! Or I assume finding the skeleton is the ending. I really liked this, the puzzles were satisfying. One glitch I ran into was on top of the lighthouse after looking at the sky, I tried to go back down the ladder immediately and that caused a bug where I couldn't exit. Other glitch was the cursor flashing, I wonder why that happened, I also implemented a custom cursor in my game and that glitch doesn't happen, who knows. Anyways great job on the game, held my attention until the end!
Beautifully put together point and click puzzle, has a real escape room feel to it! The music / sound design and writing work brilliantly with each other to create a great spooky vibe.
I did find it wasn't always obvious how to like click off an object to get back into the room, but I think that's probably down to me not playing many games like this, and it didn't get in the way of me enjoying the game at all!
Really enjoyed this game. The story and art, effects and music, setting, all of it came together to make a really lovely mysterious and ominous mood. I used the guide for some bits but only because I was pressed for time. Love to see a point and click story game in the jam, excellent work!
Alright, I gave it another try, and was able to complete it this time! A couple of the radio hints were a little non-obvious, but I got there in the end. I'm assuming there's nowhere else to go after finding the skeleton?
I did notice a couple small issues: - Sometimes, the icon for the item you needed to use for a puzzle (like e.g. the screwdriver) appears as your cursor, even when you don't have said item yet, which confused me a little bit. - After using the rotary switch, the chest on the top floor closed again. I forgot to test if the game would let me pick up another one, though.
Great game~ The puzzles are a bit challenging, but a lot of fun. I did run into a bug where the previous scene persists/remains visible during scene transitions, and it seems to happen quite frequently. Overall though, great job!
Love the graphics a lot!!! This is so so beautiful and, well, completely my taste x) The atmosphere created with graphics, little animations and music is fantastic.
I had fun exploring the game and trying to solve puzzles all until the safe. I did get the rotary thingy but I don't understand where I can use it. I did get the word for the typewriter and translated the secret message. However... I am stuck now. I checked the walkthrough; not sure how to type "whale" as D doesn't give me H if I press it by itself. Maybe I need to play around with it more... But what worries me more is that part with the safe: the dial has to be in a correct position. But... I can't interact with it at all? I can't change the position of the dial?
dial.jpg
Do I understand correctly that this is a dial? Or am I wrong? Basically walkthrough made me even more confused tbh T_T (I did try clicking on it after typing ABYSS as well, just took a screenshot after)
This was a pretty full-featured point-and-click adventure. Good work! I couldn't work out if I finished it or not --- I reached the underground room but didn't find anything in there except the note... If this is the ending, a little extra hint or even just a "congratulations" pop-up or something would have been nice.
If I were to offer one main suggesting, it would be to play test a little more. some of the puzzles felt very obtuse or unintuitive to me and some playtesting might have revealed that. However, the addition of a walkthrough was an effective (if somewhat dissatisfying) solution to this problem.
Hi @kanity , thank you for playing our game! If you don't type any cypher word into the typewriter, it writes all letters like they appear on the keyboard. Try to write your secret word without typing any cypher word before. The dial of the safe is the round thing below what you have marked. It is next to the number. Maybe you want to try it again? :)
Game is pretty interesting, but it's very buggy, you need way more robust code for switching scenes/screens, it broke down multiple times with me just playing and when I actually tried to break it I managed every time. I would recommend not to use await everywhere, I just it makes way harder to debug transitions, which is where the bugs come from.
@Keysole thank you for your feedback. It's likely not an await Issue, we just haven't had the time to fix the issue yet. I'll try to patch it on the weekend. I hope you still had fun playing the game!
It's cool ! i had to read the walkthrough for the whale part, and got a bug with multiple scenes open at the same time for which i had to start again but still managed to finally reached the end without other issues Congrats !
Had some technical issues. In the web build, my mouse became invisible. In the native linux build, I had a mouse pointer, but I couldn't click on stuff. The native windows version worked though via proton.
The puzzles were fun, except for the one with the typewriter where you have to type a word (trying to keep it spoiler-free). The hint for that was a bit obscure.
Except for that the puzzles were all very cool and it was always clear what to do. I also liked the overall mood. Great job!
Nice arts and the atmosphere! I liked the puzzles, I figured out some of them though it wasn't intuitive. Unfortunately, I couldn't finish the game, ran into a bug where the previous scene remains the same during scene transitions, which happened at the top of the lighthouse. In case you fix it, i'll give the game another try :)
I got hooked immediately, I love this genre. The mood is stunning, the puzzles are complex and make the player think hard, which I like, narration and music are right on point. I like the integration of the theme - having some hints hidden in audio is great idea and in this case I think really well crafted. This entry is the most fun I had so far on LD59. Thank you, team.
Very nice atmosphere and good puzzles. Great ga,e!
Pretty interesting puzzles, great atmosphere and art! Although the music is waaaay louder than the sounds and even if they are on the same volume level, I was only able to tell that there was actually no sound by the point I reached the high and low tunes puzzle, other than that, cool game, great work!
Wow, this is not the kind of scope you would expect for a game jam, really impressive! The atmosphere is fantastic, especially thanks to the pixel art and sound design.
The game is quite challenging. I had to check the solution a couple of times. But to be fair, its late and I am probably not at my sharpest 😄
It strongly reminded me of the mood of "The Last Door" games. Congratulations on this great project!
Cool game, very impressive amount of work for a jam and clearly very well thought out, but I found the puzzles a bit too difficult (I definitely had to consult the walkthrough!)
Love the vibe of the lighthouse at night! Switching between the radio frequencies to get hints is a cool way to do puzzles
I love escape/point-and-click games. Even though it's a short game, it gave me some trouble. I confess that after an hour trying to solve the whale puzzle (I knew there was something there) I had to look at the walkthrough. Should I feel ashamed?
Congratulations on the game. The puzzles were very well thought out and the setting is very good.
@euler-moises No, there’s absolutely no need to feel ashamed! We might have gone a little overboard with the whale puzzle. I’m really glad you stuck with our game for so long! And thanks for your comment!
Overall, this is a very immersive mystery adventure. I search for the secrets of the lighthouse within the riddles left by my predecessor. The overall level of polish is very high – whether in terms of music, art, or puzzle complexity, everything is reasonably designed and well-balanced. The only point I think could be improved is that when listening to the radio, the background music could be turned down a little, because sometimes it drowns out the voice from the broadcast.
I loved the graphics and general style of this game! The moody atmosphere created by the art and audio is amazing. I found the puzzles fun and challenging!
Wonderful visuals, voice acting and atmosphere. Unfortunately, I can't seem to open the safe even with the walkthrough. I got the word right but even after inputting the code from the walkthrough using the dial, the handle woudn't budge...
I got about 2/3 of the way through without needing the walkthrough. But then again, on all the old point-and-click adventures, I frequently ended up needing to use a guide as well.
Excellent art. Engrossing audio. Well thought out puzzle designs. There's a lot of really good stuff here, and you tied it together very well. Great work.
Was finally able to reach the end (with maybe one or two quick peaks in the walkthrough 😅)
This felt very complete and polished for a game jam submission! Really fun as well, but quite difficult – at least for a puzzle game novice like myself.
Nice moody atmosphere, complimented by the graphics and sounds. The audio sounded very compressed though, almost a little distorted?
Couldn’t really see the connect to the theme (*Edit:* ah, the radio signals). Otherwise, a great submission 👏
QQ20260428-173934.png I tried my best but this time I was stucked for real. The atmosphere created around the sound effects and images is very immersive, which is great. However, I was often confused by the puzzles. For a long time, I didn't realize that "LIES" was the password, and I didn't know why "ABYSS" was the safe's password or the actual operation method of the safe was "left TO six/right TO 2, etc." I thought it was "left six times/right two times, etc." As for the final nine buttons, when I pressed them, there was no response, and at that time, I couldn't find any other hints. This really got me stuck. I think it might be better for the author of this kind of click-based puzzle game to place a hint or the answer to the puzzle somewhere. Because sometimes players do not have the same preset information as the author.

It was a surprise to see a classic quest with this theme! I pulled out a screwdriver and encountered a nasty bug with the transitions between locations, but overall, I had a good time.
I was never able to complete the game. On the first playthrough, I caught a bug that was changing the scenes incorrectly.

The second time, I went as far as entering combinations on the first floor. But I still didn't understand what needed to be inserted into the upper switches, and the lower panel just didn't do anything.
I really liked the game, it turned out to be a very pleasant atmosphere! It's a pity that I couldn't find out that in the end
Great atmosphere! The graphics are very charming and the music fits the eerie vibe really well. Some of the puzzles were just a tad bit too far-fetched for me, but with a couple of hints from the walkthrough (thanks for that  ) I got to the end ultimately. I did have to restart once, because I got stuck in a room because of a bug. Great job!
I... I can't solve anything. I'm trying to skim over the comments but... it's telling the answers to some puzzles. I've gotta come back to this one. I wanna try and figure this one out myself. This is awesome. I'm 100% bookmarking this!
I finally managed to play your game! Better late than never I suppose
The atmosphere is CRAZY!! Really evocative music and sfx, sweet voice acting, nice graphics, wheee.
The puzzles were quite hard though. And I would never have figured out the whale puzzle without the walkthrough I think.
But yeah, really great what you did here, I'm proud of you :fish:
Well put together game. I'm terrible at these so I wasn't able to finish it, but I could see the work you put into this. Art was solid, audio was good. Main problem I had was my cursor was freaking out the whole time and I couldn't always be sure what could and couldn't be interacted with. Maybe the not web versions didn't have that problem. Definitely coming back and trying this again later. Well done.
