I love your game ! Especially the art, it's beautiful. You did great !
Got stuck after getting the axe, but I enjoyed the premise and art a lot!
Pretty nice game. It looks awesome and it´s hard enough to complete it
I couldn't stop until I beated. Very clever and original concept. I liked a lot!
Amazing Game!!! Managed to beat it after getting stuck in a couple of places. Overall very polished, the puzzles were just right, the timing with the things you had to do was comfortable so you could get everything done if you knew what to do. Very nice work!!!
Terrific art style and clever puzzle mechanics as well! It took me some effort, sometimes it wasn't clear I had gained a new item in my inventory and I accidentally ruined my chances, but I eventually escaped the room. I assume the three panels afterward are the victory screen, that wasn't immediately clear to me either.
Great art, moody music and nice puzzle design. Great entry!
loved this, very challenging but not too challenging, and i love the style
Amazing art style, great music and sound effects and very well design puzzle. The only thing I missed is a more intuitive feedback that the items changed, after I broke the window I just ran around in circles until, in the last two seconds, I realized that I had a piece of glass. It was sad.
Really really nice puzzles. Loved the whole thing. Really great work.
I really love Jam games like this. The artstyle and the music was also great. very impressive
super dope game!! the mechanics are spot on and art style nice! check out our game is also a escape horror!
love the art style, looks fresh and oh boy what a tight timeframe to do stuff, but that is half the fun.
Really interesting game with amazing art. I think you correct use the mechanic of every 10 seconds
Wow. Great game and great concept! I like how you played with the simple mechanic that at least to me seems something that might have been a bug in another game... but not here :D When I managed to get to the last step first time, I was like "oh no, I can not do this all again in 10 seconds" But you made it to be done in manageable steps.
I had great time with this game, maybe best one so far I have played. Art is great and music and atmosphere is great as well. Well done game!
Great game! Seems well scoped, polished, and has great graphics.
Super good looking game and nice audio too! It's really stressful to solve all these things in just ten seconds, so it's quite challenging!
Nice art , music / sound is realy good you hardst notice it that is super hard to accomplish. Well done team !
Really cool bite-sized adventure! Love the spooky art and the time-based puzzle mechanics are very clever! Good stuff!
A nice idea and tricky puzzles. Got stuck a couple of times but made it in the end. The art style and background music fit very well.
Really inventive use of the time reset mechanic for this type of game. I thought it was well designed, with no need for a tutorial which is a big plus in my book! Lovely art style and nice music as well. Great fun!
I really like this take on the theme, especially your approach to an escape room game. The story and art direction are great, congrats on the entry!
Cool concept but getting stuck after i got the glass shard, i've tried it on many things, it only work near the window, i lost the item but nothing happenned, hope i'll find what happenned next.
@rekko You're nearly exit, don't give in to despair!
Wonderful little game.
It could have been point and click, and it is not, and I think that's *very* smart. The controls are slightly imprecise. Nothing bad from a UX standpoint. But they leave you struggling a *little* to do what you want. And from this springs the very immersive anxiety, of shuffling, your hands trembling, with the rising fear of having to start everything all over again. It's feverish. It really drives the immersion home.
I think the controls would not feel this imprecise if you weren't always pressed by the clock. I also believe they could feel better with some polish, highlighting the interactive elements, maybe an other control scheme...
But I'm really glad you didn't do that. I'm glad - because for this experience, this is the perfect game feel.
It's never dramatic to start over because of that ruthless, extremely efficient, 10 seconds loop. I think there's genius in the way these 10 seconds squash and stretch depending on the context. Sometimes feeling extremely long as you're waiting, your single battery in hand, to start the cycle over again, and more often than not feeling incredibly short.
You really played in that space, with the texture you could give these 10 seconds you were working with; and I believe, for such a short experience, with so few words, you really did a wonderful job with the narrative design, and the ludo-narrative consonnance. The atmosphere, the aesthetic of the visual and the puzzle design are all really good.
Ultimately this is a game that leaves you with more questions than answers, and that's very much my thing. Who's jo? That singular voice clip about the key? It's so jarring and strange to only have that voice clip, for something obvious as well, because, well, there's a lock on the door - but it really adds to the experience. Never explain or try to justify that kind of things. Great, great mood. Awesome job and congratulations to the team.
@fae-pdf Wow! Thank you so much for such a detailed feedback
@fae-pdf O.o Thank you so much for the wonderful feedback \o/!
Nice little puzzle, needs a little thought. The theme is well used, you need to choose the time well and perform the actions in the right order at the right time. Also, I really liked graphics, it creates good atmosphere and mood. Great job!
I like how you can resolve puzzle with this 10 seconds back loop. Great job :)
Very nice use of theme, like it
Nice take on the theme, the art and music makes for a good mood. My only complaint would be on the use of the mechanics to keep an object on you to duplicate it: in the end it is only used once at the begining, apart from here you can keep the object you have to continue the sequence of action. Nice entry overall
Suberb mood, burton-like visuals and music goes great together. I have escaped even it took me quite a lot of tries :D But I just wanted to see it all, great entry!
Nice use of the theme, but tbh, I didn't understand the ending. Extra plus for little easter eggs like "Here is Johnny!".
Other suggestion would be something like extra signal that you threw up something through window. I was spamming E key and first time after smashing it it seems also that I threw glass shard through it. And because of that I was stuck for long moment.
Interesting idea, amazing use of the theme, and the art is fantastic. Great job!
Really good! It was a really nice experience playing it, the art, sound design and music was good. The puzzles were really clever and it felt really good when I figured them out. Overall great job!
brilliant use of the theme to make a puzzle game, love it ! Liked also the atmosphere created with visuals, music and the voice props. Very nice :)
Really good use of the theme! Only seen timeloop movies, nice to get to play a game!
Spectacular art style. reminds me of don't starve.
Loved the artwork you did here. I did get stuck after getting the axe and the time limit added a rush element to the game.
Art, music, concept, all great! Like an escape room mixed with groundhog day, I love it. The duplicated item mechanic is a neat twist that makes you think tactically. Great job!
nice. i feel the mood. The music, the art and the implementing are great.
Very moody game! Graphics are very nice! I was able to escape! Congratulations!
I love the look and feel of this game! I had a fun time figuring out the puzzles and trying to do everything in the time frame. Nice game!!
The visuals are stunning and the game is greet too, definitely one of my favorite entries this jam <3
Really nice interpretation of the theme! I think the length of it was perfect, it felt really polished and it felt very rewarding getting out. I also really loved the little cutscene at the start, great way to intro the game while also giving the player a hint. Beautiful art too!
Best game i played so far.
The puzzle mecanics work really well, and 10 sec is just what is needed to finish the game.
Being able to keep only one item is a very clever idea, and make the whole thing interesting.
Really cool puzzle but the time frame within you can do things is too short I think. I know the 10s are not to change since its the theme but knowing what you have to do to solve a puzzle and not being to do it in time and restart over is pretty frustrating. Good simple and well crafted entry still !
A very nice game! :D At first I thought it was a point and click adventure. Maybe you can use this GameJam game as a base for a point and click?
The art style fits the atmosphere very well.
I didn't know what to do with the ax for a while. I just didn't notice anything changing in the inventory. After that everything was clear!
Should anything happen after the three pictures after the escape?
It seems like something is missing here.
This is such a good game!! The visuals, art, and atmosphere are really good! Gameplay is really well thought out as well. Took a moment to figure things out but it works really well. Really good job at crafting puzzles in a way that could be completed in 10 seconds slots. Really inventive and great execution! A caption that indicates the end is the end would be helpful as I wasn't sure if the game was finished or was going to continue. The intro and ending screens are really well made and effective. Really great work overall! Perfect scope and amount of content for a game jam so very good planning. Polish was on point as well. Well done!
@yoko-san Should anything happen after the three pictures after the escape?
-- Unfortunately, this picture ends the game. Thanks for playing!
Hey :) I really enjoyed your game! Great work.
Wow, so many HAHA moment where I found something interesting ! Nice puzzle design !
Great puzzle design, I really like the mechanic of keeping items between resets. More checkpoints might be nice, it depends how difficult you're aiming for the game to be. Really nice art style too.
Really loved this. Took me a while to understand that you keep an item after time runs out. Very cool idea and puzzle design. Solid entry!
I loved it!! A pretty cool loop. It is very good to learn the sequence of what you have to do. One of the most complete games I've seen so far.
Congratulations!!
I like it a lot. I hate the time goblin though. I thought I would give up but I got to an end and now I feel a sense of accomplishment
Love the graphics! Good idea and puzzle design. Well done
This is one of the best games I've played on this jam so far.
Clever use of the theme, keeping the item in the inventory opened interesting possibilities. The graphics, music and sounds are spot on, creating a great atmosphere.
I really have nothing to criticize, maybe just that I thought the game bugged out at the end with the 3 pictures. Also it was pretty short, I want more
Excellent work!
Cool art style! Really interesting puzzle game - I wish there were more rooms!
Cool aesthetic and sound. But I get stucked very soon!
Cool game and very clever mechanic to keep an item through the loop! Learning through the loop reminded me of twelve minutes :)
The mood was amazing, it looks polished and the difficulty of the puzzles was just right, the 10 second span and character's speed allowed to try enough combinations of items to not make it frustrating to have it reset that quick.
Great entry! I enjoyed it ^^
I LOVE this art style, reminds me of Tim Burton/Don't Starve. Stunning!!! <3
I really enjoyed this game, love the art, mood, audio, it was all so good. I had trouble in the beginning figuring out what to do as i missed some of the opening sequence and after escaping the room I was not sure if there was more as it was a bit ambiguous. Overall really great job, had a lot of fun!
Amazing use of theme. So creative to have a 10 Groundhog's Day point and click adventure puzzle where you keep what you were holding. I adore the art/animation and music. Very Tim Burton / Don't Starve like. Sound effects were perfectly creepy. The puzzle was too hard for me I got stuck after throwing the ax out the window and getting the glass shard but I'm not very good at these types of games. Still enjoyed it tremendously. You should be proud. Fantastic job!
Love everything about this game. Concept, gameplay, art, music, all 100%. Runs great. I also love that there is so much scope here to expand (add more levels/rooms!) Only suggestions would be clarify the ending (I wasn't sure if I was done or if I had to do something else) and make it more obvious that you've collected a couple of the items (perhaps it would help if they fell on the ground instead of going straight to your hand). Overall excellent job, one of my favourites so far!
Really good puzzle, great job! I assume it ends after "turn around"? Nothing seems interactable after the comic.
Excellent game, challenging enough to be a little frustrating at times but not enough that I stopped before the end, great use of timing, everything works well and the sounds are fun as well :)
Quick but interesting concept. I like it.
Loved this!! great puzzle game, with just the right amount to time to finish the tasks, I broke the bed on my second to last run and laughed out loud. Great entry
OMG I LOVE IT! Dark but very intreresting!
Really enjoyed the game the puzzle was simple but satisfying and the visual and audio of the game was just phenomenal it kinda reminded me of little miss fortune and dont starve. My only nitpick is i really didnt understand the ending like who is this random lady? And is the game supossed to just remain on these 3 pictures of the boy escaping? Or did my version bug out? But overal it was very enjoyable
@jim-jagers TYVM! The ending was like that on purpose. But apparently it was worth writing: "the end" or "to be continued". I see it confuses a lot of people :)
Good game with a really innovative use of the theme. I had fun figuring it out! The graphics are also great. Could use a little bit more feedback, but honestly all ld games do ahah
À great entry, congrats!
Cool and well balanced game! I was lost at first but the intro really helps you out
Wow really great game. The cartoonish visuals, sounds and little cutscene pictures... Everything was so great. I loved the game. (And I assume the last cutscene was the ending.)
i have the glass shard but i dont know what i can do with it ... Either way, it was a very enjoyable gaming experience! great atmosphere !
pretty cool little game, great style as well. Wish it was longer
I love love love the artstyle! :o Great game!
It was a fun game. The mood was great, nice hand-drawn environment, and the puzzle was just the right amount of difficulty and made sense, or at least it followed the standard click-adventure logic (without clicking, interestingly.)
I do have two issues. The first may be somewhat personal, but I think E is a strange key to bind a Search action, when you're using WASD for movement. Normally, unless you're using a mouse in your right hand, you use the arrows key for movement in games like these. Then E would've been fine. My problem is not with WASD though, that is understandable and commonplace. But then the search should've been bound to something like the Space key, since the thumb is idling. The E key you have to press with your index finger, which is also used for D right movement. They can sort of get in the way of each other.
I'm sorry I know I sound very nitpicky right now, but I actually did feel this way during my playthrough, and I felt that I had to tell you. This is not going to affect my game rating, it's just a very minor heads up to help you consider this in future game design, beyond Ludum Dare. You either have to make your keys customizable and/or have them not hinder each other.
The second is that there was no clear indication of an ending. You might want a The End or a To Be Continued... sign. They're almost obligatory, and honestly I stalled for a couple of seconds waiting for the story to progress.
Sorry, I did not mean to write this long. It really was a nice game, something I can definitely play for longer. Great job!
Hey @twowolf! TYVM for the review! And yes, you could search with Space, but we didn't have time to fit it into the menu scene Sory='(
Good puzzle game! didn't end it because I couldn't find the other battery, but It's a cool innovative concept for this jam! check out my jam game!
Fun game! It's hard to make a satisfying puzzle game in a Game Jam, but I really think you did it!
I had some experiences I THINK were bugs (the voiceline "here's johny" plays when I open the locker, and the locker breaks when I open it with a key, despite me not holding an axe) but otherwise the gameplay was smooth.
This is definitely a case of "Doing a lot with very little": The only real mechanic is "you keep the item in your inventory when time runs out".
The style is cool, the sounds are good, the intro comic was good at explaining the mechanic.
Nice!
Nice game! Love the mood and art! Drawings so good! It was a bit hard for me at the start but in the end started figure it out more what to do! But that was probably more my fault :D Anyway great entry!
Stellar puzzle game with a great mood and feel. Solid all round.
I sat for a long time and only after that I realized that the items in my hand were saved. But, unfortunately, I couldn't get past the broken glass. The art in the game is very good.
@kenforest Thank you for your patience and attention! You were one step away from victory...
Cool game. Loved the art and look. It was a creative mechanic to have the player keep whatever they had on hand before the loop. Got out of the room and three pictures showed up. Not sure if that is the end but I couldn't go any further after that. Great entry.
Nice puzzle, I took me a while to realize what I had to do xd But I like it. Pretty short though, there is another level or is it just the first one?. Great game anyways!
Really liked the idea of keeping the last item you had when the 10 seconds ran out.
Ooooo so creepy! I thought allowing the player to keep the item and build around that was a really good idea, and it was well explored in my opinion! I found the presentation is strong, and the design instigating. Nice!
@stalemeat tyvm <3 It's end.
@tranzit Yep, this game have only one lvl ^^ We wanted to make a small game and polish it well. Thank you
Very good puzzle design, I quite enjoyed it! The art looks really nice together and really sets the mood.
[Stream vod here!](https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1611166734?t=01h01m21s)
@outfrost Thanks! Glad you played :3 And it also seemed to me that you in life also look like a capybara hehe
@sofignedova hah :smile: thanks
The art in the game is beautiful, everything is kept in its own style. The concept is interesting too. Good job!
I thought the game was bugged at first, I didn't recognize how clever the puzzle was, yeah probably best use of theme I've encountered so far. Love the art and music too. Great job.
@digitaldude555 It's not a bug it's a feature :D
Thanks for playing the game! \o/
This is a very solid idea executed to perfection. I solved the level (turn around..), and was disappointed that it ended there. Took me quite a while to figure out what to do in the last part. I think I sat there for about 5 minutes thinking while the room kept resetting  The intro was a very good idea! It gave an introduction to the machanics and gave the player a way to start.
What was the Stoolcode for? I did not have to use that? Or just an easteregg I don't get?
The graphics are very well put together. Is it all drawn on the computer? Or by hand first? I could not tell. It is very well fitted to the mood you where going with. The music completed it.
@wouter52 hello! Thank you for playing our game. The Stoolcode is an Easter egg. All the graphics were drawn in Photoshop <3
The art is amazing !
Well done :)
Absolutely love the art in your entry, I got immediate saladfingers vibes when I first opened it (absolutely a good thing) the environment is quirky and fun, and the gameplay is solid, excellent entry all around!
Really impressive.. It´s so fun to discover what you have to do and combined with the increasing skill level its a fantastic experience compressed in this short amount of playtime
Keep on doing !!
Insanely good! I believe all that has needed to be said already has been. Looking forward to seeing you develop this further or any other games you make!
Realy nice game with good concept and atmosphere. Reminds me of a game called "Neverending Nightmares". The only thing that seems not quite on its place was already mentioned in other comments: the ending feels like it's not the ending and there is something more to be.
Gorgeous art! So, we tried to understand what to do about ~15 minutes, and, thanks god, we found how to make it! Very good game, Here's come Johnny!
insanely cool visual style, loved the theme, great movement and immersive atmosphere, great job!
i loved how clean this entry was. super simple to understand, and REALLY HARD............ PAIN IN MY CHEST................... but the art was really well done and the sound design wrapped nicely around everything. very "dont starve" esque!
Oh menn! you made me think a little lol, I amoust give up but give the last needed push, the art is very pretty, the sound effects and mechanics are nice, the difficulty is in the edge lol, I love it, awesome entry, also great implementation of the theme, congrats on this work, one of my favorites, thank you for the experience, you feel acomplish when you make it, sorry my english
I really really liked the integration of the theme in this one. The realization that you could solve things by keeping items over the time-loop was super cool. My only complaint is that I wanted to do it more, but the game didn't really support me in doing so. I really liked the aha moments, and didn't so much care about the really fast execution.
Really interesting take on the theme. The graphics and audio were both really well done and added to the bleak mood really well. The idea of keeping the item you were holding through the time loops was a really interesting one and required the player to make smart choices about what item they were going to carry into the next loop which added a really interesting layer of depth to the puzzles.
Loved the mood of this. Great art and well though escape room puzzles, well integrated with the theme!
I was thinking of doing something like this myself, but didn't have enough inspiration for the puzzles. You have done a great job!
The ending was a bit weird as I was kind of left there wondering if I should do something or if it's bugged.
(bonus points for the Shining reference, was thinking the exact same thing)
Great entry, and phenomenal use of the theme! It took me a while to complete the puzzle, but was satisfying when it was all figured out  keep on making games!
This one is fun, love the art style.
This was very very fun to play! It reminds me of those old point and click adventures except time was resetting every 10 seconds, very innovative! The art is very very good as well. I was a bit confused in the end when it said "turn around" and we see the lady and nothing happens. But other than that, great entry!!
I managed to finish the game! The mood was great! I got the rope at the beginning, but I ran out of time, then I thought I had to detonate the explosives again to get the axe with the rope in hand, but it turned out to be not that complicated haha. Pressing e against the window can throw the items in your hand is easy to make people throw away key items. I got stuck for a while in the first period because of this. Anyway! Great job, music, graphics are great! Congratulations!
Good use of theme, nice art. It's quite hard though as you can lose the item you need very fast. Then you need to start again. Knowledge checkpoints would've been nice here as the time is very short.
hm)
So tense! For once the ten seconds is perfectly balanced! I love the fact that there is a phase of discovery, one loop per item, then a aha I have to do two things ! oh no wait it's three ! and then a Frantically running around to achieve the perfect order of steps. It's amazing to have such a nice and complex three loop run.
Took me a minute to understand the inventory mechanic, but it works very well. I especially like the art style, it almost has a Tim Burton vibe to it. The puzzles were effective, a very nice entry indeed, congrats to the team!
Very nice and well thought through puzzle game. The graphics look like they came from a finished mid- or big game. Great job overall to the whole team. I do think that at the end it was a little bit unclear to me why do I loose the axe and even more so, what does the glass shard do. Other than that, the ending screen leaves me anticipating more. keep up the good work.
Wow, we actually had thought of this concept when thinking about how to make a puzzle game with the theme, and we didn't think it was possible, and I'm happy to be proven wrong by such a strong entry. Great job!
Thanks for bringing this by stream! I had already seen a little bit of it on another stream, but it was still fun to figure out the puzzles!
[Here's a link to the VOD](https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1619345236?t=0h50m00s)
Very good looking game! Reminds me of Don't Starve and in general Tim Burton style art. Good puzzles and ambiance!
well now that i have seen 2 streamers playing it, it was a bit easy for me to complete. but the first time i saw this game, i felt like it was a really smart game, with some nice mechanics. and if i had seen no stream, i'd have enjoy this game so much, you can believe me!
the atmosphere and art are very nice and coherent. the ending is a bit anticlimatic, but the way to get there is really clever! good job!
Que da hora gostei jogo bem diferenciado Nice!
I really love this game, in a sense, it is a bit similar to ours. The art is on point. Great job
Really nice game! It reminds me a bit of McPixel :) I did not really understand the ending, but figuring out the solution was really fun. The mechanic where you keep one item is really nice and works well. The graphics look really nice and the sond fits well. I actually would have liked to play some more rooms! I hope you keep working on this and add some more content, since it has a lot of potential! Great job!
I enjoyed playing this one on stream :D Here's the VOD: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1619874556
I knew that because of the theme there would be many good games with a timer of 10 seconds ... This sometimes makes it very difficult to understand what is happening. But I did it and it's the best jam game for me so far :)
*But I need one more level…*
Pretty cool game. I was confused a couple times about what I was supposed to do with some of the later items, but I managed to work through the possibilities and escape eventually.
One little thing that annoyed me was that using the glass shard on the windows seems to cause it to cease to exist, and I did this on accident a couple of times since I wanted to "pick up a glass shard" and didn't realize that it had automatically picked one up already.
I thought the stool code was a hint for some puzzle but it seemed to be unrelated.
The art style is quite good, and it reminds me a lot of Don't Starve.
10 seconds worked out to be a pretty good amount of time for your level design, where as long as I planned out my actions I was able to do everything with a second or two to spare.
Very interesting interpretation for the theme. Love the mechanic and I could picture myself playing a full adventure game like this. The art is lovely and I enjoyed the eery athmosphere. Well done!
https://youtu.be/Xty0TvPfvGA?t=7696
Thanks for submitting your game to stream!
Very charming art on this. I felt like the 10 seconds was maybe a biiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit too tight in some puzzles, but whaddaya gonna do about the theme I guess. Nice job! Always enjoy a good escape room puzzle.
very cool art, but the rest gameplay was kinda tough at the beginning, cause we kept thinking that the main mechanic was a game bug, oops. but then we figured it out and it was a really hard puzzle, ngl. overall, it's a good entry!
Art style and mood are great!
Love the tension created by this time loop! The art style is outstanding!
I didn't read the game description so I felt kind of stupid that it took a while to realize you could keep items between time loops  really nice mechanic when I finalyl figured it out.
Amazing atmosphere! Truly. I guess i'd work a bit more on the whole gameplay part, didn't really hit ths spot for me, but that is to be expected i guess with the time frame of 3 days. Overall amazing experience tho!
Yoo! I remember your team from the previous ludum dare, you created such a beautiful, deep game! :D Glad you see you taking part in ludum dare once more. I like the Don't Starve-like artstyle and mood, and the concept is really cool! It's nice to see another escaperoom game too :D The gameplay was cool, it was quite satysfying to discover that I can "save" an item in my "inventory". And the mood, wow, you nailed it! The only thing I'd change would be sfx - sometimes they were too loud and too distracting, toning them down and changing their pitch a little would help a lot. Great work!
Well done! Really nice puzzle mechanic in your game. Great job. I would love to play some more rooms! I was however a little confused at the end - I didn't understand if I finished the game, or if it was another puzzle to solve at the end screen. :-D The art style is great, and nice sounds. I find the music slightly annoying after awhile, but the mood is good :-) Thanks for a cool game!
@mrsilverhelmet Great idea, I'll take it as an answer. ))
"I didn’t understand if I finished the game, or if it was another puzzle to solve at the end screen."
Very original concept and art. Enjoyed this tremendously :)
Awesome game and really cool concept, loved slowly figuring out what the right path was and then executing that, art style is great. Would be awesome to have a full game with these types of mechanics, slowly figuring out each level. Amazing job
Your game was so cool ! Thank you. I had a great time playing it. Just a question, how did you do the time loop pls ?
the game is short but some nice follow the chain of action mechanics and you can never get stuck, only restart where you failed or beginning, nice
Great visual style! I really like the drawn art and the papercraft feel to the game. The gameplay works well, I didn't encounter any bugs.
It's a neat puzzle and an original interpretation of the theme. Very well done! And I absolutely loved the "Here's Johnny" when he picks up the axe  Many small references you sprinkled around are great, but this one is my absolute favorite.
My only gripe is that I couldn't use the piece of glass on the curtain to create a rope. And when I tried, the piece of glass just disappeared (maybe Werther throws it out of the window in his Sorrow ;)).
Such a genius idea! Yeah, the game is pretty short, but it's such a wonderful experience! I absolutely love this! Take my 5 stars!
Wow this was truly fantastic! Really amazing job with this. Such a clever idea but so hard to execute on it because of how short 10s can feel in a scenario like this, but you definitely did it! I feel like it might've benefited from a few more rounds worth of necessary stuff, it feels like you can do it in 2-3 rounds which is pretty fast, but of course takes you time to figure it out. Love the art and the moody atmosphere, unreal job!
10 seconds goes quick, so in the beginning I found myself a bit disoriented at what to do. Your nicely drawn comic which explains exactly what to do didn't quite work on me the first time, lol. Once I got past this, I find the way the reset mechanic interacts with the puzzles is very interesting. The end felt like it came too quickly and left me wanting more satisfying puzzles :) Very polished and fun entry in every category for me, I only wish it was longer
p.s. Under the time pressure, I had a hard time hitting interactables right consistently, would be nice if the triggers were slightly more lenient
Wow yeah 10 secs is stressful hahahah.... Wow the drawing and animation is great – love the artwork. I really liked being able to hold onto things in the next life – that was a cool idea. But yeah I'm slow so wasn't fast enough hahaha... I wonder if over time for people who are stupid it could get easier. But for 3 days it's awesome. Great idea and loved the mood – annoyingly addictive too – I wanted to win haha
Nice, tight puzzle game. The puzzle logic makes sense which is pretty good, and suits the fast paced action. Great use of storytelling to teach the player how to play the game. A shame about the abrupt ending! Would have loved to see some sort of creepy twist here.
@fae-pdf "jo" is the first part of "johnny" as in "here's johnny", a the shining reference. Nice little misdirection for what to use the axe for!
Very nice puzzle game. Can I just say that the art looks fantastic? It gives me the vibe that Tim Burton's cartoons have. At first, I was quite frustrated, but then I finally got it - the item on my hand doesn't go away when the world resets. So I think I was able to get to the end? Screenshot 2022-10-15 173634.png I do gotta agree with the comment above, "Here's Johnny" reference was kinda funny.
Really great game!! I love the art style, and it was really fun. I was having a hard time getting everything finished in the 10 seconds, but that added to my enjoyment. I think the controls could be tighter, but thats a small note. For sure one of the best games I've played from this jam so far. Amazing job!!!
This game is very different to many of the games in this Game Jam, I like it!
Very nice art and atmosphere. The mechanic of being able to carry a single item over to the next loop was very smart and led to interesting puzzles. I really like that you had taken the time to implement interactions with things that had nothing to do with the solution, like being able to break almost anything with the axe.
The sequences were just long enough for 10 seconds, though I did miss a button press a couple of times and ran out of time because of it, which would've been fine if not for the fact that I then had to take the battery again and wait 10 seconds.
Overall a really cool and atmosperic experience, and I only really wished there had been more :)
Hi there! What a small a nice creation actually, love the art style and mood of the game. As well it's not really annoying to play through due to smart usage of the mechanic you've developed. Nicely done!
Fun and beautiful. Good idea, having an escape room that resets every 10 seconds, but doesn't reset what you carry with you. I managed to escape after too many tries, but had fun doing it.
I like the style of the graphics
The art is amazingly great
A very interesting interpretation of the theme. I just loved the graphics, and the sound is good too. The gameplay is simple but very functional. It's fun to think about the possibilities each item can offer you (especially the things the ax can destroy). I see huge potential in this game! Good job!
Nice little game:)
Thank you for a submition!
nice little puzzle game! the gameplay is cool and I really enjoyed it! the art is also cool I really like tha "starve" vibe!
This game was quite charming. The loop was tight but forgiving, and the progression was pretty clever. We're not going to ask why there's a TNT barrel in this room, though!
Very nice entry and use of the theme. I haven't understood it from the description, and discover by myself that item in your hand stay for the next loop, good mechanism. I was a little annoyed by imprecision of controls, but like somebody said, it mainly comes from the stress with the 10 seconds counter. Very good work 😀👍
This was a really cool game, the atmosphere was perfect and I love how the theme was implemented. It took me a bit to figure out how to save an object, but once I had that it was great. The graphics are really amazing and I love the art style as well :) The puzzles are interesting and having to do things quickly makes it a bit tricky as well. Great job on the whole thing, really well done!
Fabulous take on minit loved it.!
Fantastic little game and extremely well-executed! Everything is honestly top-notch.
The art style reminds me of Tim Burton and Don't Starve in a great way, and the look is completely cohesive. The core gameplay loop is really simple and clever. I would love to see a longer game based on this design.
I was stuck for a little bit after getting the rope because I thought I'd have to go through the entire loop again to break the glass, but luckily I realised I only needed to get the axe, and from then I could take my time and get ready until I could complete the final sequence in the timespan allowed.
Might be one of my favourite jam entries as a whole. For a 72-hour game, there are no obvious weak spots or places missing polish that stick out. Really good.
Wonderful! The time length is just enough to achieve the escape, and the "left-over" feature is genius to apply unique mechanic of puzzle design! Love it!!
