LD49 — Unstable

Unstable Ai by paruthidotexe 2021-10-04T23:53:10Z

Nice and simple game. It was obvious what to do and killing the enemy gave a good feedback. The audio overall was missing other feedback sounds (like shooting, hitting). I find it also annoying that some triangles appear right next to you. The shot itself was missing feedback.

First Flight by defectivemelon 2021-10-05T07:13:41Z

Great little game. Visually very pleasing. It looks polished and I could not find any bugs while playing. It also makes your brain work which is nice and shows good balance. What I would improve is the resolution of the bird sprite, I think the pixels on the edge are too visible. Other than that I don't feel the theme here.

O'Ryan by James Dunlap 2021-10-04T22:46:23Z

Try disabling compression - this broke a couple of my webgl builds for another jam.

O'Ryan by James Dunlap 2021-10-06T07:27:20Z

Good music and graphics and (from how far I got) decent amount of content. Thanks for fixing the web version - it makes it more approachable to test. Unfortunately I did not finish the game because I softlocked. Turns out that pressing ESC during the game locks the controlls and does not release it even after reenabling the game. Besides that I found the jump to be unresponsive at times. Maybe add coyote time. I have also sometimes fallen on spikes and could not jump off, just walk from side to side and die. Lastly, there are some glass walls and it hurts the overall feeling. Edit: I also think that shooting up by default is not the best way to go, I would expect the character to shoot in the direction that he is facing when stating still.

Dizzard Wizzard by ryjcio 2021-10-06T21:28:13Z

Great audio and sound. I was pleasantly surprised by the fact that there was more than one enemy and someone tryed their best to make sound effects for the second one (won't spoil it here). I would like to see a little more visible feedback on each element. Lack of healing is preventing the player from experimenting, once you have it, there are already game winning spells in your arsenal. Lastly, I was able to bug myself into very low movement speed, is it possible that it is connected to your damage?

Karawan by Rongo Matane 2021-10-08T21:57:26Z

Great game! The visuals, sound and overall design work well together and are really polished. From improvements, there are some optimizations to do with the ui but other than that it just needs more content (which I think is what you want from jam games).

Nuclear Routine by maxds98 2021-10-05T09:26:22Z

I love the game, best one I played. The art, sound and mechanic really fit in together and make me feel a rush to keep everything together. The games with nuclear reactors were bound to happen with this theme : D. I was missing the possibility to fix things that broke though.

Ark by ProdigalSon 2021-10-08T22:38:15Z

Good puzzles, I got stuck on the last one but will return with fresh mind. Not much to complain here about. I would add an indicator what level the player is on and a pause button to inspect what the state step by step. Other than that I crashed the game by completing level 12.

The Score by ToxicComputer 2021-10-06T22:52:51Z

A nice game with multiple approaches. You even made cutscenes. In the main menu, coloring of the selected option should we swapped in my oppinion. There are also controlls that were not mentioned in the submission page or the game (like R to reload). Lastly, I would like to be able to abort using the cutting tool (if for example someone is shooting at me).

Fire Orb by Wargon 2021-10-21T18:07:29Z

Nice game, cool soundtrack. The explosions looked very satisfying. One main thing I was missing was audio feedback on charge and hit.

Help, I cast the wrong spell! by JUSTCAMH 2021-10-06T23:37:05Z

I can't belibe how much you squeezed int this one guys. Everything fitted so nicely together: music, visuals, challanges, humor. I can't overstate it enough how much I like this game. One thing I would add is some indication that the game has finished - it looked like it crashed.

Neon Saber by Kaish 2021-10-06T21:46:39Z

Love the sound, the art department really put some heart into it. Visuals were coherent and thanks to the use of colors, levels felt distinct. It took me a while to figure out what the indicator on the shield being recharged is. It could also be of benefit if you leave an option in the menu to see all levels. I could not get past bouncy robots.

Portal Rescue by Vimlark 2021-10-04T23:41:35Z

I like the idea, graphics, design and execution. The audio gave good feedback. The platform movement felt a little bit unresponsive and the audio style didn't stick for me (personal thing). I also only partially feel the theme.

Louis The Scientist by Maxime Cyr 2021-10-05T13:22:32Z

Interesting concept and nice graphics. Feedback on the sample and turning on (some) machines was good. The music was ok but I could see it getting old really quickly. I was sometimes missing detection while standing next to machines.

SheepWorm by Elmos Minion 2021-10-06T22:04:03Z

Visually interesting but challanged my sense of orientation. I did not feel in controll and there were way too many sheepworms to take care of ; ) If you want to continue work on this title, your main focus should be visibility, feedback and balance.

Last Mile by kurrik 2021-10-05T09:45:42Z

Nice game and I was able to learn how not to loose all the boxes. The audio fitted the game and graphic design is coherent. I had some issues with the controlls (probably a matter of getting familiar) and the car sometimes bounces off glass walls.

Riot Village by Getem Ratan 2021-10-05T10:29:21Z

Good gamplay loop, music fits the theme and I see you've had fun screaming angrily. Solid game. I was missing some feedback on clicking the button and an ability to cancel selected action would be nice. Other than that I don't know why at one point 90% of the population got angry.

Alchemysterious by PatateNouille 2021-10-21T14:02:37Z

Positive things: the music is nice, it ends after a while thoug. Other than that I think the game is locked behind the bugs. My main feedback here is: when starting the project - go to the core mechanic as fast as possible, make it work and check if it is fun. Even if it means just putting cubes and capsules in. Then build on that and replace meshes with fancy assets (which you definitely had : P).

Manicat by RexTGun 2021-10-06T21:54:03Z

Fun game, it is a plus for me because I like cats. You could have added more feedback on the stats and mutation. Other than that, keep working on your skills and keep up the good work.

Unstable Atoms by Harmadillo 2021-10-21T12:44:53Z

I like the chemistry theme, even though some parts did not make sense to me. There are some bugs (as you are probably aware) like invisible atoms. Other than that, the game was just too difficoult for me and I did not manage to pass the first level.

Potion Commotion by Frozendoze 2021-10-08T21:03:01Z

Really good game. The visuals and audio feel very polished and it even has more quality of life features than one would expect from a jam game. This could be easily a finished product. One of the only things that was missing was the theme itself for me. The environment was very stable and the character being hard to controll is not a good implementation of the theme in my oppinion.

Lapis Vitae (Point&Click Adventure) by MelekTaus 2021-10-06T22:36:15Z

A lovely game. The story was written with good humor and made sense (for the most part). I would say that there were points (lever) where the solution was not obvious and I really could not understand why items disappear, work it into the story or leave and just check that they are 'used'.

TECHNUCLEAR by TheGreenWorm 2021-10-21T13:17:40Z

Awesome game. Aside from some bugs on level transition it was a complete experience. Keep up the good work.

Morning After by Martta 2021-10-05T21:13:51Z

I like the hints scattered around the apartment. I could see people relating to the story. I think the audio is unbalanced and initial menu volume is way to high. I als think that moving could use a little bit of acceleration and deceleration.

Unstable Stable by bufuak 2021-10-04T22:45:39Z

I won't rate yet because it is probably submission hour bliss. Nevertheless - show us the game man : )

Temple Tumble by MatterLinx 2021-10-06T23:11:03Z

Great looking game, the movement felt really nice. I would not guess that this is a jam game. If you did not tell me during the stream that levels were repeating, I might thought that they are randomly generated. Having said that I would like to be able to reload the weapon outside of combat. Additionally the dropping tiles can kill you without being able to doge it. I would add a system that prevents 'unfair' deaths.

Brasópolis: Unstable Economy by Fernando Sydenstricker C. 2021-10-04T22:53:14Z

Interesting game. As far as I understood you run and collect coins. I like the graphics, music is not too invasive and there is a good how to play section. I would improve the resolution on some of the sprites, you can really count the pixels. The run is also too choppy. Try adding some acceleration and deceleration. I didn't really get the theme reference here though.

The Probability of Meltdown Is Minimal by DarthBoseiju 2021-10-08T21:20:45Z

For a one person team it definitely feels really polished. The audio was not overwhelming and no jumpscares : ). I would suggest guiding the player at the beginning that they can do something with the screws. I spent over 5 minutes thinking that the game is bugged because the door did not open.

Finite Runner by Anthony Servedio 2021-10-06T20:50:35Z

Good acceleration and deceleration. The music works well, may be a little bit too loud. I am missing audio feedback on jumping and animations on running. A paralax background would be nice too. Don't really feel the theme working here.

RoughTrain by Dogez 2021-10-20T22:27:27Z

Very nice game and for a jam game it looks impressive. I love the fact that you did voice acting, huge props for that. As for the gameplay, you could improve the sense of urgency if more than one thing was breaking at one particular time.

Rook Bishop Knight by nshbae 2021-10-20T22:06:18Z

Very nice game. More levels than I thought and made me think hard. It would be nice to have the possibility to adjust audio volume. Additionally it would be nice to see the best number of moves before finishing the level. One last thing, for a jam game it would be nice to have the possibility to check all the levels out withoug having to complete all previous ones.

Unstable Spore by Shuimen 2021-10-21T12:29:27Z

Nice game, it was entertaining and did not take too long to complete. One problem I had was that cards disappeared from my bottom bar (probably because there were to o many). Other than that, the card "draw 2 cards" probably should be named - "draw 2 cards on the start of the next round".

Trenchmouth by Mords 2021-10-05T09:14:38Z

The game looks and sounds awesome. It communicates mood very well. Unfortunately there is little feedback on actions. The ui with scarps and supplies is not updating (at least for me). The game lacks feedback on selection (unit selected, actions available) which makes playing a little bit frustrating. Maybe highlight the unit when selected and make indicators where they can move so that the player does not have to search the map. Also, there was something mentioned about combat in one of the summaries but no visual indicator on the combat or reported number of troops lost.

Tangerine Massacre by arvz 2021-10-20T22:48:06Z

Cool game, gread graphics and animations. The game is hard and I think there is some spam prevention on parries but It just felt like it does not detect all collisions. I get that the game should be skill based and spam should not work but then there needs to be better feedback on it, maybe slower attack rate in general. Other than that I didn't get enough feedback on getting hurt and needed to intentionally look for my health to see that I was hurt.

Lovecrafting by Concker_88 2021-10-21T13:37:03Z

Awesome game, for a jam game I think it is a complete product. What can be improved in a later version is feedback on getting to a god and the loose condition.

Unstable Truth Or Dare by DaivyIsHere 2021-10-05T07:46:17Z

What an original and atmospheric game. I really like the creepines that you managed to invoke. The music fitted it well but was not overwhelming and the animations were smooth. I'd say that the movement felt a little bit off/floaty. I didn't understand if there is any reason to play the dare card. The game could benefit from some feedback when picking up a card. The floor hands felt unfair because there was no indication where they will come out. The life indicator (at 2 lives) looked like the infinity symbol so I thought (for a short duration) that it is still some kind of tutorial.

LD51 — Every 10 seconds

retry10 by kuggenhoffen 2022-10-05T20:56:32Z

It was a short and enjoyable game. The idea for the game was executed well. I didn't manage solve the disc puzzle - had to exploit the fact that collisions were not set to continous (glitched the teleporter). Thanks to that hough, I could explore the outside : ) Overall I think the theme detracted a bit from the game because being reset got annoying quickly. Too bad there was no real programming, I got my hopes up.

Graveyard Shift by MattDahEpic 2022-10-10T20:12:29Z

Aweseome that you've made a farming sim during the jam. These can get out of hand quickly. It visually pleasing. My main problem is that with 6 plots of ladn I was more busy fighting the UI than the game. The challange was not in planning but in dragging. I also think that the promised upgrades were missing.

THE OPERATOR by simex 2022-10-11T21:43:57Z

Very solid and engaging game. I felt satisfied when I completed it. I love the visual design in general. The "ambient" gets a little bit repetetive after a while. There are also a couple of improvements that coudl be done to the UI (i.e. overlowing command window).

10 seconds from hell by Simone 2022-10-05T21:18:16Z

I am amazed at how much UI this game had. For a game jam this was a solid effort. Obviously there is work to be done in the graphic department but that didn't stop you from publishing a game. I've also had a proble where I got hit for apparently no reason - a bit frustrating.

Radar by bbaf 2022-10-11T21:03:36Z

Very atmospheric game. I love the visuals, how did you do them? As for the gameplay itself - I think the delay was a little bit too long. Sometimes it felt pretty random whether I hit the rocket or not. I think that this is an issue with binding the main mechanic to the theme and then not being able to rebalance without abandoning the theme itself.

We Stole Aliens by grizeldi 2022-10-08T21:40:58Z

I think that the game was polished in many ways but lacking in others. UI looked amazing, you've build a whole driving controller. There were some struggles with the gameplay because I could not see where I am going. If you put a mechanic in, make sure it is a fair one. Overall, nice submission - keep it up.

[WebGL/HTML5] Music Demon by leorid 2022-10-11T20:49:44Z

Very nice game. The sound is awesome. The mechanic is simple and you're squeezing as much as possible out of it. In terms of improvements (I will be picking on small things because the game is really good for a gamejam): animation fluidity could be improved. The levels were minimalistic, some decorations would make it feel more alive.

BABY ROOM by pfs 2022-10-05T21:09:04Z

I like this game a lot. The scope was choosen reasonably. Everything worked together. There was even a second play mode. If I had to complain about something - it is the "game over" screen. I don't know if I did something wrong or if it is simply the end of the game.

Dr. Word's Machine by Kaish 2022-10-08T22:08:31Z

Let me start it with this: I think it is a perfect game jam game. The use of resources available is great, look and feel is great. I have to work hard to find things to improve. I think the colliders on the text were too small at some point. I also think that some deterministic way of getting to a particular room would be benefitial. Lastly, I think that after getting a key, you should automaticly be sent to the time machine next.

Stopped Watch by Elmos Minion 2022-10-08T20:39:59Z

Really nice and fast paced game. I like the theme did something meanigfull to the game. In terms of things to improve (hard to find for some reason): movement fluidity and volume sliders.

Time Thief by YellowKamel 2022-10-11T22:23:22Z

You've managed to put a quite considerable amound of content into the game. The music sounded good. I think you could benefit more from your own characters instead of borrowing from pop-culture. Other than that, I think you could have skipped the battle mechanic and replace it with more refinement elsewhere. I am also curious what the time relics were supposed to do.

Monkey Bu$iness by LiquidFunk 2022-10-08T21:08:22Z

I really like this game. It combines two genres well. It really makes you work for your bananas. There is icing on the cake which is the ending. As it comes to improvements: you obviously can work on graphics. I do think that the collidesr on wrenches were to big.

Lil Trash Friend by Lowkey Interactive 2022-10-05T21:43:23Z

Very polished game, I only got out of bounds once ; ). In all fairnes you've had a big team and you definitely capitalized on that. I think the third level slipped under the radar because it seemed broken. Two levels would definitely be good too for a game jam this short. Keep up the good work.

Downpour by chris1919 2022-10-10T20:51:17Z

Great game, really hard to think of something constructive to improve. Perhaps the platforms could reset their position with the player reset. Add more content! : D

Room Again by SofiGnedova 2022-10-08T22:25:52Z

Very nice and well thought through puzzle game. The graphics look like they came from a finished mid- or big game. Great job overall to the whole team. I do think that at the end it was a little bit unclear to me why do I loose the axe and even more so, what does the glass shard do. Other than that, the ending screen leaves me anticipating more. keep up the good work.

The Therapy by Mika314 2022-10-08T20:24:04Z

Nice looking game. Audio and visuals played well together. I do think that having point and click navigation with pathfinding defeats the point of a "solve a maze" type of game. Additionally while you've had the theme implemented, it did not add much to the gameplay.

BDSM by xsangyhix 2022-10-10T22:14:59Z

@leorid Thnak you for trying and figuring this out. More description is on the itch page. One thing I would add to your already awesome summary is: the dynamite needs people to be out of the building, the bomb does not. As for improvement suggestions (I appreciate them all) - I get all of them, there is a lot to fix with this game. One of them is to lower the number of tiles and make the map more readable (there werer already graphics for 2x1 tiles in along with roads to separate the tiles).

The Great Escape by amarokczukay 2022-10-08T23:01:11Z

Interesting game and impressive that you've pulled it off all by yourself. All pieces fit nicely together. I od think however that the game is hard for the wrong reasons. The challange stems from clicking precisely buttons, not solving the puzzle. Adding keyboard shortcuts to actions would solve that. The text from what the creepy invating baby says should stay longer on screen. I had no idea what he said half of the time what he said because I was focused on clicking buttons. Lastly, I think that the theme hurt the game balance because it dictated something that should have been optimized while playtesting.

Boom64 by Valyn Tyler 2022-10-16T19:46:14Z

I see what you did there, nice pun. The movement decent even if I haven't played the "original". Music was of course great. The first thing that struck me that the reload had to be performed manually. Additionally, the shots didn't have much impact at all. Finally - it would be nice to know if the level has ended. I felt like I've completed it but there was no indication.

every 10 seconds by goosegarden 2022-10-10T20:27:09Z

Simple but engaging idea. All pieces worked well together and the experience felt complete. One thing I would caution you against is to not bind your core mechanic to the theme. If for any reason you need to balance or change it - you are stuck with a dilema whether to abandon the theme to make the game better.

Thoughts by Question 2022-10-10T21:26:14Z

I love the game visually but it hurts me that I'm incentivised to rush through it. I really want to ge the message. Maybe the theme hurt it more than guided it.

LD53 — Delivery

Cassie's Truck by thristhart 2023-05-14T20:50:35Z

I like the humor and the game was easy to get into. On the other side - I am not a fan of randomness ruinign a run.

Undead Express by Zaphire 2023-05-17T21:01:13Z

I like how you've build a whole world. I have definitely felt a need to explore. Unfortunately the car is hard to contorl and many sidewalks are an inpenetrable wall. This is particulary infuriating if you are all but out of fuel and centimeters away from a dropzone.

Haitatsu Delivery Technologies by ghost-in-the-toast 2023-05-11T21:14:02Z

Very nice game, graphics and sounds worked well together. I felt like a little bit more ambience would help (like footsteps with echo). Also, the flying enemies did not feel fair. Especially because they clipped through walls.

Idle Deliveries by justking144 2023-05-15T19:59:39Z

This scores a top score on innovation for me. I know ascii graphics are nothing new but this execution simply clicks with me. If I were to change anything is to fix the need to scroll on the LD page (I noticed too late that it is not the default and didn't want to restart).

Idle Deliveries by justking144 2023-05-15T22:05:43Z

Update: It took a moment but I got everyone to level 100. Damn auto games...

Supply Heroes by SvenErik 2023-05-03T22:40:09Z

This game looks very polished and is enjoyable to play. You have touched my interests in many ways and I am left to wonder how to achieve this level of appropriate scoping. A couple of things that were an issue for me: The constan sound of gunfire was tiring and did not incdicate if I am attacked or attacking. There seemed to be a black hole problem where having a city as a connection didn't help refilling it if downstream was full. Lastly - I was attacked behind my lines - not sure if that was intended but I found it conterintuitive. Great job in general!

Manhole Mailman by Robonaut121 2023-05-18T21:45:06Z

Your art style was consistent and communicated an apocalyptic setting. The sounds were for the most part fitting and satisfying. On the other hand handling was very linnear, it made controlling the character less enjoyable. The game is also challanging and has no tolerance for errors. For a game to be enojyed - you could think about a system to give the player a second chance. Other than that, the crates sometimes seemingly miss the target and sit next to it.

Chateau Grenouilles by Paul Merkamp 2023-05-18T22:03:56Z

I found only one frog. The gameplay was easy to learn and I can appreciate the effort put into drawing ones own graphics. I would like however for the controlls to be a little bit more tight. Also the music (while interesting) got too repetetive.

Dynamic Drug Delivery by xsangyhix 2023-05-03T21:24:01Z

@spacespytv Valid points. Glad you enjoyed it.

Dynamic Drug Delivery by xsangyhix 2023-05-12T20:04:28Z

@conduit I fully agree that a counter would be helpful. Technically speaking, if you enable the console and press T - there is a debug output that states how many enemies are left ; )

Dynamic Drug Delivery by xsangyhix 2023-05-17T21:03:23Z

@steve-sparkes Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it. That was my approach this jam - jump right into the action.

Dynamic Drug Delivery by xsangyhix 2023-05-17T21:51:15Z

@logicprojects The foam launcher is my favourite too. Pink spawners are blood vessels that spawn cells from the host. There was a plan to make their survival a victory condition but we all know how jams work : )

Hell'o-Cargo by agudar 2023-05-11T20:35:59Z

The game is very polished. Both sound and visuals are great. If I were to find things to complain about it would be the fact that holding the button "J" was never explicitly listed. I did manage to break the game too but that's just a bonus ; )

Food Service Singularity by Cheesecube 2023-05-03T22:04:35Z

I like the game and the fact that you've made a complete set of levels. Both playable characters made sense and were relevant. You've even made a tutorial section - very nice for a jam game. The music and dynamic changes were very nice. Having sadi that I have to opt out of rating the music since you've used not self made assets. I feel like the kill zones felt out of place. Movement was a little by clunky. Keep up the good work. That was a good game for my first rating of this LD.

railless! by lethargic 2023-05-17T21:16:39Z

Let me start this by stating that I cannot belive how this does not have more ratings. For a jam game this is a complete package. There are coherent graphics, a soundtrack that nicely accompanies frustration, encourages it a little bit but does not get repetetive and the gameplay loop (as far as I could reach) feels complete. Of course, you also have the crushing difficulty often present in jam games. Playtesting would me main point to improve (I assume you missed the difficulty curve a little bit as the game is crushingly hard). Love it.

Parcel Control by Vitaslayer 2023-05-17T21:49:58Z

I have managed to complete the game and it is a very pleasant one. I think you've managed to do what you've set out to do and there were only subtle hints of things that you hoped to include but didn't manage. If I were to improve something - getting packages and receiving them feels like it lacks responsiveness. A little bit more feedback on the pneumatic sucking effect would articulate the delivery much better. Other than that - it is pretty stresful being under the preassure of time and waiting for the next package which takes its time.

Magical Domain by kanity 2023-05-11T20:13:36Z

I see that much effort went into the story and this is a strength of this game. I can't say much in terms of humor. It didn't feel like the game is supposed to be funny. If I were to improve one thing - I would look at ways to give the player the feeling of being more in control.

Doggo Delivery by Quobbel 2023-05-17T20:47:48Z

Nice, short and simple - that's how a jam game should be. Surely - there is room to grow but the foundation is solid.

LD58 — Collector

Runesmith by Baturinsky 2025-10-11T18:28:45Z

I like the idea of the game. I would immerse myself into it more if the UI was more inviting. I could not figure out how to earn money. I carved a couple of runes and ran out. Do I have a way of triggering combat? Do I have a way of purchase new items, or just sell them? Currently discovering new runes appears to be just a boring process of saving and loading. I would encourage either a full list available or other incentive to discover it via gameplay.

Ludumon by Euler Moises 2025-10-11T19:35:20Z

Fun game, could not find the dragon though. I suspect foul play but some are posting screenshots they did it so I'm probably in the wrong : P I like how a simple (and limited in scope) mechanic was elevated to a ful game. Would play a more developed version.

AstroHaul by Milestone Games 2025-10-24T17:29:31Z

I have no idea how this game has so few ratings. I have nothing much to critique except that I want more content. 5/5 awesome.

Wow, this game is incredible. Simple mechanic of picking up and placing stamps elevated to a full experience. I could play it for a long time. Incredible work!

Very nice game. I think I have reached the end because at some point the final score was just not showing. The settings and about buttons in the main menu got me excited but only for a moment : ) I think for a game jam this is a perfect case of scoping it right. You have one mechanic and everything around it (for the most part works). It feels like something complete.

I like the game. I like how limited movement gave more space for polish and level design. I feel like collisions were arresting a bit too much momentum. I like that concepts were introduced 1 by 1 with level design. Most importantly, I did beat the game - nice one!

The premise got me very excited. Even though the limitations of time and there fore development were apparent in this one, it still did what it promised on a basic level. The sheep looked like sheep which is nice.

I like everything about this game except for the game itself. Let me explain - the art looks nice, the writing is interesting, the sound are good, the ui is responsive and nicely stylized. The only thing that I am missing is a rewarding game loop. I don't understand what my my decisions should be based on. It feels like just clicking the sign with the bigger percentage underneath it.
