Great work, unique setting compared to many of the games! Weapons were fun to switch between, would be cool if there was a thing saying what's left to kill and maybe an arrow pointing to existing viruses. Overall good stuff.

@spacespytv Valid points. Glad you enjoyed it.

Nice idea, remembered me about that movie, Osmose Jones, trying to fight all the bacteria and heal a body. The screen was too little for me, even on the itch.io link on full screen. You could change the controls to be tank controls, would be a nice change.

The concept is genius and the guns are super satisfying (especially the foam gun). Wish the enemies would fight back, just clearing out the levels without any challenge gets boring eventually. Also, why is the window so small? The sprites look great I just wish I could see them better.

Pretty fun! Just a bit tiny

i liked the idea and sounds, so cool! I really enjoyed but the screen was too small, i had a hard time playing it. Great LD entry!

Quite an interesting concept, and cleaning up does feel satisfying :) Sometimes the laser wouldn't want to concentrate on the spawn point and just shoot through it without making damage, while sometimes it would and then effectively destroy the spawning point. It is cool that you added different weapons with different effects! Also- this poor person, so many viruses and evil bacteria they have in their body! I loved the menu where you choose body parts. I think gameplay gets a bit repetitive, but at the same time it can be hypnotic just chilling and shooting viruses. So it probably depends on the player, if it's the playstyle they enjoy or not ^^

Loved the sfx! Very punchy and descriptive of the weapons' they were attached to. The gameplay was rock solid, however, something like a virus counter or a pointer to the final virus/virus cluster would be helpful.

xsangyhix 2023-05-12 20:04

@conduit I fully agree that a counter would be helpful. Technically speaking, if you enable the console and press T - there is a debug output that states how many enemies are left ; )

A really nice little entry. The art really lent itself to the vibe of travelling through someone's organs, which is a kinda gross sentence to type out haha. It was quick to jump into and start blasting stuff. Great job!

xsangyhix 2023-05-17 21:03

@steve-sparkes Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it. That was my approach this jam - jump right into the action.

The game only worked in a very small resolution for me but it was playable. I really liked weapon 3 and almost used it for the entire game. It was a little unclear that some of the pink spawners were not valid targets but overall a nice game.

xsangyhix 2023-05-17 21:51

@logicprojects The foam launcher is my favourite too. Pink spawners are blood vessels that spawn cells from the host. There was a plan to make their survival a victory condition but we all know how jams work : )

thiago-nascimento 2023-05-18 01:52

Is the window supposed to be really tiny? Anyway, great game.

interpixel 2023-05-18 19:22

i like the foam launcher

corrupt-spaghetti 2023-05-18 19:30

Really fun game! Kinda reminds me of old flash games (in a good way). The weapons are fun to use, and the sound design is great. The window is a little small, but that's not a particularly big issue

cheesepencil 2023-05-19 02:50

i like the body guns!

jandourek 2023-05-19 12:37

Fun game! The music and SFX are great and I really enjoyed how the weapons work! The levels are a bit samey in my opinion. If there was a bit more variation in enemies and hazards, that would be awesome. Overall, pretty good!

robonaut121 2023-05-19 20:08

This is really fun! Don't have much to say that the other comments haven't already said, except that I found it kind of jarring that the enemies had no death effect - considering how much polish is put into the weapons' firing effects it kinda feels wrong to have no satisfaction upon enemies' death. I feel like the spawners tanked a bit more than they should have - I just resorted to the slightly broken technique of having weapon 1 as primary while switching to weapon 2 when its delay replenished to defeat them. Also, the soundtrack slaps so hard :-)
