@cavejohnson332 thank you! this is the first time i join a game jam, and to be honest this is the first "finished" game i've made, so your feedback is really appreciated!
This is cool! A really good idea, nice work! The menuing adds a nice level of stress, and it's overall quite polished, especially for game jam game!
Hey the concept is really cool and the game is pretty gj!
@rpgfaker Thank you very much! I tried to make it look as good as possible, but these three past days were exhausting hehe
very lovely visuals i like the style a lot, i found the menus made it quite hard, but it could also be me being slow - overall very good!
@sagiii thank you mate @soskstu some friends tested it and it appears that navigation becomes way easier with a few minutes practice
I really love the idea of a timed point and click, it's very unique. The graphics style and objective work really well together too. Amazing job! :)
@bugbyte14 really happy that you love the idea and the game in general, thank you verrrrry much!
Great concept :) loved the visuals (also the particles around the cursor).
Was hard to get everything done in under 10 seconds, mostly because the text buttons were small to click and you need to click an object before you can access its actions.
So it was a bit stressful!
I would consider making the actions show on hover
That was great, a little on the infuriating side when you get the timing off and ruin your run, but a really cool use of the theme and just the right length for me to complete.
@ofiro i've tried different ways of accessing the actions (including show them on hover) and i can't remember why i chose this way, but i'm sure there was a reason (reason may include my stressed brain)
@mr-danh thanks a lot! Great you could complete it!
Great game! It can be very hard in the end to click exactly in the right options! "wups, i clicked going down again xD", still this is a very good strategy game, real clever. Good work!
@ds-nahogara i can feel it haha gotta learn the mouse choreography ;) thank you for your feedback
Had a lot of fun with this one, some of the things you have to do in only ten seconds are pretty challenging!
@manchmalscott Thank you, really glad to read that, and happy to see that you found some challenge in it.
Really, really nice. Not enough old school point and click adventures in Ludum Dare :D
Loved the style of it, and the central mechanic. The timer is also very clever - you are the only person I have come across so far who made the ten second timer last longer than 10 real life seconds!
@teddyreid thank you very much for this nice feedback! If you're talking about the fact that the game "seconds" depend on the framerate and not on the real time, i think it has something to do with the fact i'm not using timeDelta or something like that. I discovered it like 2 hours before the jam ended, and decided to keep it like that because i'm a complete novice haha
Fun game! The hardest part for me was the time management in addition to trying to click the commands. This was also a really interesting take on the theme. Nice work!
Great game! Took a few attempts to get there but made it to the party in the end! Found some of the menus a bit difficult to click on, and ended up closing the actions a few times when only just missing the options which was a little bit annoying but I guess that adds to the difficulty of the game. Great work!
@don-fouts @lomby thank you both for your comments! You are many saying that navigate with the commands is pretty hard, it's good to hear what points i should improve!
Just two words: Absolute Perfect ;).
@eugenik just four words : thank you so much!!!
Very interesting game, dodging the shooting for a short time and doing the required manipulation is a big challenge, but at the same time it is extremely intense
Wow, super fun game! It can be really hard to do stuff between the shots, but still, nice ideas, congrats!
@moonblast @bobo-oh thank you to both of you for these really kind comments! it's so good to have all players' feedbacks to be able to spot what needs to be improved!
Your art is really beautiful, I love the color palette and style :nail_care: Unfortunately I'm on a laptop right now without a mouse so it was very hard to get far  I think since it's quite often that you get caught, so it would be nice if restarting skipped the intro automatically. Otherwise the intro was a cool way to introduce the game!
Thanks for submitting your game for me to play on my stream!
If you’d like to rewatch the playthrough, you can find it here: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1609823066?t=3h58m28s
Good luck on your ratings, see you next LD! :D

@finntastico thank you for this lovely feedback! to be honest art was one of the first things i did. i know that it is bad prioritization but can't help with it haha and yea i can imagine that with a laptop trackpad this game must be hell…
@elysiagriffin and thank you for playing it, i was so happy to watch it live! You did an excellent job on this run!
Nice game. It reminds me of my childhood when I secretly played vedio games on the excuse of information, my parents could come to see what I was doing at any time
@nosloofah ifeelyou.png that's funny because i just discovered that the large majority of point and clicks i've played were during my childhood, so the circle is complete haha
Great take on the theme, nice colours, fun to play!
This was a nice challenge! The art was simple but it was a nice fit for your game, like something out of a children's book! Very cute story.
I was going to be proud of my score, but then I saw elsyia's ... and ... I'll just say, your hitboxes for the buttons could have been a little bigger :)

Hey! Thanks for sending your game to me on stream. Unfortunately you weren't there when I got to it which is understandable as my stream was going for 5 hours by the end :) But I gave your game a go and enjoyed it a lot. I do agree with previous comments that its a bit tough to click on some of the actions and I'd also like to see a timer so I know how much time I have left. Maybe also a checkpoint system could be nice when I get to a certain point but I can understand if you'd not want to add that.
Had a lot of fun tho and a nice on the point and click genre. The other baby constantly looking at me was terrifying haha.
@jaked thank you very much, i'm so happy people liked it!
@hawkin i love seeing people uploading their high score here, it's really rewarding! I agree with you as with many other comments about the difficulty of clicking on the text, i should have put like a transparent object behind them… Anyway, 61 sec looks like a good score (still 2 times less than some friends haha)
@bobfish Hey! oh thank you for playing it!! when i quit your stream, i was like "well too bad for my game", so it's super nice of you to play it even if i wasn't on your stream anymore at this time! About the timer, if you're talking about a 10 sec timer before the next flash, it's represented as the 10 red dots on the babycam. but if you're talking (as Elysia said in her stream) about a timer showing how much time has passed since the beginning (more in a "speedrun pov"), yea i could have done it but got overwhelmed at the end by the time passing haha and i'm really happy someone mentioned the eyes of the other baby hahaha i haven't lost precious minutes doing that for nothing :D (update: just watched your stream vod, it's great to see people playing it to see what natural game reflexes they have! apparently you encountered some bugs i've never seen (like clipping from inside the bed to the chair for example) :o and about the 10 sec timer being longer than 10 sec, i discovered it watching another stream! It looked more like 10 real seconds on my computer when i did it (walking/pulling/climbing movements should be a little faster too). apparently it may have something to do with fps ?? but i don't really know unfortunately :/)
@amarokczukay interesting, yeah it definitely could be related to the fps, I've had that issue before. Depends on the way it's coded. Ahh! Didn't notice the dots on the babycam, that's what I was after. Thanks! And yeah all good I decided to give it a go even though you weren't there because the thumbnail picture was so intriguing haha. Enjoyed it a lot :)
Had a lot of fun playing this one, cute visuals and interesting theme. Good work :)
Great work out there implementing a puzzle like that. 10 seconds theme got peerfectly matched in the criteria. Really happy to see another game having babies in it xD. Please do check my as well if you want see another game with babies. PS: i hate babies.
Nice artstyle! Was very fun to play! (:
@rlewins thank you very much mate!
@baylock thanks a lot! i just finished playing your game! if the babies of your game could escape the room as the one in mine does, they'd certainly do it hahaha
@msplanlos thank you! i wanted to play your game since it looked fun but sadly i don't play on windows and can't… good luck on ratings tho (i see you're doing well for the moment)!
@amarokczukay Aw thank you! Did you try to run the game? And are you on Linux or Mac? Maybe we can fix it, if it did not work. (:
I believe I got the 10 seconds, so no slow-down or speed-up. But man, you're on a very tight schedule with this game. After a while I was very fast with clicking on Get up -> Go down and Climb -> Pretend to sleep. I can imagine many people would find the game to be too hard. It's a good thing I like a challenge. The color choice is interesting, in a positive way. Good job!
@msplanlos yea i downloaded it but the file is .exe and i'm on mac… :/
@sheepolution nice to read that! i was afraid everyone's 10 seconds were lasting 15… haha the game is indeed hard judging on comments, but once you're more comfortable with controls, you can go pretty fast! (i think my record is like 27 seconds, but that's cheating because i had 3 more days to test it  anyway thanks a lot for your comment!
Thanks for leaving feedback on our game, I found your game from there. This is the 2nd game I've played from the jam which had the "get back to the original location in 10 seconds" mechanic. Your theme is really good, better than the other one I saw. A baby trying to trick the parents via the baby cam is hilarious! I kind of wish that I didn't have to click words to do things because I'm partially dyslexic, and instead there were visual icons. Like, the same icon for the same type of interactions for each of the objects.
I didn't experience any bugs when I played. Good job, nice game!
@sean-esopenko oh thank you so much for this feedback! i tried to write the game in good english even if it is not my main language, in order to be more inclusive, and i didn't think about this inclusivity… icons would have been a better chose in many ways, you are right! happy the plot made you laugh tho! :D
Ah the good ol' baby cutting the live wire. Fun game, thanks!
Made it pretty close, but that was intense! Great job, but as others have mentioned the buttons need to be easier to click and it took me some time to figure out how to go to the right.
@trusty aaah brings back good childhood memories :') thank you for your comment!
@saxops1 hey, thanks a lot for your feedback! Yea now that many people have tested it, it becomes super clear that this is an issue. I had one friend and my girlfriend to test it during development, the first is a pro point&click player and had no problem, the second has no real video game experience, and she said controls were a bit difficult to master. At this time i thought this would only affect people not used to point&click, but i was wrong. That's why i love this jam, the feedbacks i get here are so valuable to me, for my next games!
Great hook! I am a bad baby.
Nice entry!! Hard for me to handle the game with a trackpad but I guess with a mouse is easier.
That was a good concept and with such a cute art, congrats! I'm not that good in this kind of game, but it was fun trying
@ben-throop you are not a bad baby, you just have strict parents ;)
@arnochux thank you! i imagine this game is a nightmare for trackpad users… if ever you come back to it with a mouse, let me know :)
@vulpez thank you very much! yea there are some ways to play more safely, but overall it remains a try hard game apparently haha
it's so nice idea! I really enjoyed it))) I like music and color of baby's hair is cute))
@mikkyti thank you so much! i kinda wanted a not natural colour for the hair so i'm happy you found it cute!
Very creative concept! It intrestingly taps into some of those childhood memories of doing exactly the same as the baby does here. The timer of door opening back then was not 10 seconds though but still.
Having a strict timer combined to a lot of accurate clicking becomes pretty straining for the hand. I lost so many runs due to misclicks that it started to get a bit annoying. For some reason it was also very difficult for me to remember choice positions in their selection wheel. Visual tips like icons could probably have helped.
Also the timer is slightly difficult to follow. You need to focus on accurate clicking so it is hard to switch your focus between the camera and options. Possibly a slight audio feedback about the timer progressing could help here.
But overall, this was a very innovative but simple idea. The execution is very clean and polished. Great work!
Funny game and nice fit for the theme. I think the menus could be snappier to feel good to play but on the other hand the way they work now communicates how clumsy a baby can be. :)
I managed to somehoe make the game get in a deadlock by spammin click before menus appeared.
Awesome  Excellent use of the theme, and an engaging puzzle! I felt it was a little difficult, but maybe that's just due to my slow reactions  I'd love to hear more audio in general as I think there are a lot of fun things you could do with it, though I really liked the mobile music.
@nash i see we had the same childhood then :D I can see what was annoying to you, and since many of the comments pointed out this, i now know that it was one of the major issues of this game, and that it is something i should focus more for my next game!
About audio feedback, i actually had it in mind, but when i put a "bip" sound on every second, it became clear that my 10 sec was not 10 real seconds, and within these 10 seconds, some seconds are longer than some others… So i only kept the flash sound, because i didn't want an irregular bip sound…
thank you very much for your feedback!
@unless-games thanks (and double thanks for finding me excuses i didn't even think of haha)!
oh maybe you found the "unable to move to anywhere" bug? i still haven't found what was its cause…
@frozentape thank you so much! don't worry about your slow reactions, it looks like the game is indeed a little difficult ;)
really happy that you liked the mobile music. i really wanted to add more sound effects and music (as i have been working with sound for more than 10 years), but 2 hours before the end of the jam i still didn't have a single sound, and had to prioritize. but at least i made the mobile loop, and i'm so happy when i have a good feedback about it. Yesterday i was watching a streamer playing my game, and he meticulously turned the mobile on at the beginning of every run :D
My second escape room game in a row! Figuring out the critical path was really cool and satisfying. As I said on stream, I think the thing that would by far improve the game the most is just making the buttons bigger. I found myself accidentally misclicking too often because the buttons were tiny. I really like the weird control scheme though, keep doin that!
@nardandas thank you very much for playing and commenting it on your stream! happy you made it at the end  your feedback meets the one of many players here, so thank you for letting me know what my flaws are!
@amarokczukay Yeah I think I found that. I assume it has to do with something not being ready if you click too early/fast. IIRC it happened after I spammed clicking on a place where a menu I wanted was about to appear. Like 'Pull' after 'Go' or something.
@unless-games i tried to reproduce it without success. i will investigate more… thank you anyway
I couldn't get very far because I kept clicking the wrong thing. That was INTENSE. My partner came in and was trying to talk to me and I didn't even notice him. ^^;;
Well done on the game, a point-n-click with a sense of urgency is very novel and I liked it.
Graphics were cute, sound was fun, level design was involved. Overall a solid entry. :D
This is one of those entries that is just perfect.
Thank you!
@otterfaelure hahaha sorry for your partner! :D
i'm super happy you think my idea was original, thank you very much for the compliments!
@evogengames i can't even thank you enough for that comment!!! it made me so happy!
First escape room type game I've played this jam - really good take on the theme! The sense of urgency is super real. I really like the color scheme you picked as well. Had a lot of fun playing it - congrats!
@mediflect i'm really happy to read that you liked it, thank you for commenting!
Interesting game and impressive that you've pulled it off all by yourself. All pieces fit nicely together. I od think however that the game is hard for the wrong reasons. The challange stems from clicking precisely buttons, not solving the puzzle. Adding keyboard shortcuts to actions would solve that. The text from what the creepy invating baby says should stay longer on screen. I had no idea what he said half of the time what he said because I was focused on clicking buttons. Lastly, I think that the theme hurt the game balance because it dictated something that should have been optimized while playtesting.
@xsangyhix as i just said on your stream: thank you very much for the detailed feedback and for the ideas and advice you had to improve the game. it was a fun experience watching you stressed out while playing
hsdsg.JPG great game!and is this a bug or not?(rate back?)
@projectcolorball oh wow yes this is totally a bug… you got that during a run or at the beginning? did you do something special? and what build was it on?
because obviously that's not supposed to be like that hahaha
(i've already played, rated and commented your game 2 days ago, really liked it!)
@projectcolorball I got it at the beginning of the game, and I restart it a few times then it somehow got fixed.....
@projectcolorball strange… have you been playing the game on html or was it windows build?
@amarokczukay
I played web version the this page
@projectcolorball well at least some restarts made it work, so it's a little bit less bad… i hope nobody will have the same bug again!
me too!
I like it: concept, audio, graphics. Nice little game:)
@epeachyband thank you for your feedback! happy you liked it!
Nice little point and click adventure. Took me a couple of attempts before I could make it to the party, in 37.85 seconds. I wanted to skip to the next text bubble in the intro with a click or so. I read faster than the game expected but didn't want to skip the rest of the story.
It's pretty impressive what quality can be achieved with GDevelop. I consider using it for next Ludum Dare as I may team up with my oldest child.
@gagapete thanks a lot for this comment! and congrats, ~37 sec is a really nice score
i see what you mean for the texts. it looks like most of the people who talked about that to me said the texts were too short, sooooo… hahaha
and yes, i'm myself impressed with GDevelop. it's the only engine i know (can't really say i master it, but at least i know how to use it fast and properly), and if you stick with 2D, it can do so much, the only limit is your imagination and your sprites hehe
that's such a great idea to take part in ludum dare with your son, i'll be curious about your game for LD52 then!
Nice Concept! coole idea.. I like the art style.
@chakit thank you for your feedback!
game is fun, very unforgiving but 10 seconds is enough for every task once you know what to do
@enderswype yea it needs some mastery but once you got it it's ok! thank you for commenting!
Very different, I liked it!
@simplepotential thanks for this feedback
Victory! That was a fun little puzzle and an interesting take on the theme  Some background music (like a heist theme!) would add to the atmosphere.
Everything worked well for me and I didn't catch any bugs. I only wished that a drawer on the right had a "go" option, so I could go directly to it without a need to select the whole chest of drawers first.
I really liked the camera showing its timer with integrated lights. Very nice touch!
Well done!
@fabula-rasa it always makes me happy when i see someone getting a victory (and even happier if you didn't encounter any bug)! thank you for your feedback!
yea i was a bit caught on the hop with sounds (2 hours before the end of the jam, i had like zero sound). however i managed to finish a loop quickly, that can be heard by turning the mobile on :D
@amarokczukay Oooo, so that's where the music is! I never turned on the mobile as I thought parents might find it suspicious
This game was really amazing, I beat it in under 3 minutes, Its very fun! This game would make it far if it had more levels :D
@fort wow thank you so much for this super nice comment! and good job on victory hehe
@amarokczukay I genuinely believe this was the best game so far that I've played :D
An interesting take on the topic.
Really interesting idea, though the time bug made this impossible (too little time) on the LD embedded version (I played on the itch version instead, where there was *just* enough time. Really nice art style too, great job!
That's very funny! I like it
Fun and enjoyable. Congratz of finishing the project!
@dzolkin @rubel-nmb @sparklingsushi thank you for your comments!
@matt-ravenhall i'm sorry you encountered the bug… i hope i get better for next jam! thank you tho
Beautiful. My favorite so far.
Alright, so here you have another good feedback!
Good job my friend!
Thank you so much for contributing to our community!
@evgenimp this comment almost made me cry, thank you so much!!!
@aj-studio this is so kind, thanks a lot! i'm really moved by everything happening
Really enjoyed this game! super smart how it all comes nicely together.
Great job!
@jonah thank you very much!
I was able to try your game before time ran out  I like the sprites and little animations. I took me four tries to clear the level. It would be nice to see what happens if you hide the actions you can't perform, I found them a little distracting, but overall very nice work, it was entertaining
@gamedevtraum thank you for the feedback! at first i wanted to hide these actions, but figured it could help the player to see in advance what the different options are. and as usual when someone tells me they finished the game, it makes me happy :D
I unfortunately missed the rating deadline – but tried this now, still. Funny and original idea, and clever take on the theme! I tried this with a touchpad and it was very challenging to say the least. :-D I think I'll have to try again with a mouse...
