A good concept, if a little hard to understand initially. Would love to see this expanded with more levels after the jam!
Love the art style, and always love a game with a cat :)
It would have been nice to know at the start that the goal was 15 potions, but it didn't take me that long to figure it out (63 seconds)
It definitely takes a while to move across the map towards an enemy when you can only move every ten seconds, it would be nice if maybe the time limit was removed when you were not in combat anymore?
The atmosphere was really great! However, I'd often reach a corner not having seen what direction to head in, and then have to stop and wait ten seconds to see where to go next, which killed the momentum. Overall though I had fun!
Had fun, though it could have been more challenging lol. I was struggling with shooting many enemies in the direction I wanted to go causing me to be kicked back and not make much progress, so I just started running straight through without shooting once I got to around 60-70 seconds left and I was able to finish the game with over 100 seconds left.
Had a lot of fun with this game! It feels like a papa's pizzaria game in the style of Obra Dinn lmao. Some of the minigames were a little challenging, but as other people have said I think that the customers waiting forever at the end of the day does lessen the pressure somewhat.
I appreciated the humor, and the quick decision making, but the NaN bug made it hard to play until the end.
Loved the vibes and the art style, the controls were a little bit of an adjustment, but I had a good time playing your game!
Vibes? Impeccable. Though I couldn't seem to quit the app at the end lol
This game was pretty fun! The hand drawn artstyle and 'pew' noises gave it a lot of whimsy :)
The difficulty doesn't seem to increase as the game goes on though, it would have been nice if maybe the asteroids sped up over time?
I enjoyed the concept and the art, but wow it took me a while to figure out what I was supposed to do! I also wish the wall climbing(?) mechanic was maybe a bit snappier. Overall I had fun!
Overall, the game was pretty fun! Once I figured out that the best way was to look for the color of the transit sticker, and the number of symbols, it almost became too easy, haha. Also you should definitely upload the web build to itch next time, looks like the LD web player is too restrictive for godot's HTML5 export!
I like the concept, but the collision for whether or not you hit a new host on the way down could use a little tweaking haha, your game is fun though!
A little buggy with some game elements disappearing, but I still had fun trying out different combinations of things to do, and discovering how to make each loop last longer. Art style is adorable!
Had a lot of fun with this one, some of the things you have to do in only ten seconds are pretty challenging!
Ultimately an alright game but not something I'd want to play for more than a couple minutes. After that the time mechanic somewhat stops being useful, sure more enemies come every ten seconds but there are *always* enemies so you don't notice them. Additionally I would have liked to know more specifics about the different colors. What does support mean? Disrupter?
Love how simple the control scheme is, had a good time playing!
@amarokczukay I was just thinking "oh I can't draw so he'll just be a blob, with little blob feet" :face_palm:
@ava-skoog Yeah, if I had the time I would have definitely made sure the first upgrade terminal can't be exited from without giving you stone placement. I spent too much time hunting down bugs, haha. I'm glad you enjoyed it though!
Movement felt nice and it was definitely a tough challenge! Would have liked to hear some music and/or sound effects though.
Had fun with this game, it's pretty challenging! I think I would have liked some sort of mark on the player cube to know which way I'm facing to help with the bananas though
Woah, this game is awesome! It's easy to understand but still has enough depth to replay!
What a cool concept! It's so satisfying when you're being chased by an enemy and you switch maps at the last moment and trap them behind a wall. That being said, I think the maze generation could use a little refinement, pretty much all of my attempts ended with me trapped in a quadrant with no fruit, and the only way out being through an enemy. Maybe if there were occasional portals on the edge of the maze that wrapped you around to the other side? Either way, what a fun game!
What a neat game! Apparently I don't know what a stem is though because I wasn't able to fulfill a single order asking for stems. Is it not the non-leaf part of the plant?
A pretty creative game! My only gripe is that after the first few times of having to wait for the level select cart to roll in, it got a little old. I'd love if I could just go straight to the next level after getting to the market.
I love this sort of game, where you've got to strategically place cards. I wish the lose conditions were clearer though, the first time through I placed down my cards, ended my turn, and immediately died.
Great entry! I loved all the different puns haha, I also had some plant related puns in my game. I don't know if it's intentional but I wasn't able to switch characters in the middle of a wave which made it hard to manage energy for the characters that could jump.
The controls as written were a little confusing, but once I started playing I got the hang of it lol. I loved the music and the parallax background, the only thing I think would have been helpful at the beginning would be seeing an example of what the different types of mushrooms looked like.
This is super impressive! I wish the enemy wave starting didn't lock you to the gun though, it always happens as I'm rushing to plant one more seed haha
I had a good time, the gameplay loop of just trying to run away from the constant onslaught is always chaotic and fun.
A fun game, though it's definitely pretty risky to hang around the edge of the screen where you might get hit by a dog with little warning lol
This was pretty fun, much longer than I was expecting lol, the map just kept going and going! I didn't realize that it was supposed to be a stealth game until I walked right into one of the enemies the first time lol, but once I realized what was up I had a good time!
I love the unique take on the theme!
Had fun with this, though I wish I had a bit more control over the camera. I loved that all the characters looked like board game pieces!
I like the game, though it's always hard to properly balance random generation, my very first round I couldn't complete any of the combos because the ingredients just weren't in the market, which felt a little frustrating. I gave it a refresh and managed a better start though lol
I liked the art style, and the controls felt good! Though sometimes the small text with the heavy outline was hard to read. Also there wasn't any collider for when you fell off the world in the third level, so you couldn't restart without refreshing the page.
This game is so hard! Brother got to 1 billion and I was still at 170K lol
@havchr Yeah, if I had time I would have done an in-game tutorial to help with that. The thing on the right was a watering can, which instantly waters crops, and to get more seeds to grow, you open the shop by pressing tab. Thanks for playing!
@slantyoj There's a shop you can access by pressing "Tab", yeah. I wish I had time to make it more discoverable that there's multiple pages in the "how to play" screen :/
@passbykamenrider I'm glad you had fun! I'm pretty happy with my choice not to restrain crops to a grid lol. And yeah, Godot still has some weird behavior with it's web exports lol
@kenneth-dd Lmao I didn't even realize that, that's pretty funny. Thanks for playing!
@poietic-ruby Thanks for playing! I can't believe I forgot to give the player a shadow lol, I completely spaced it!
@v0odo0 Thanks for playing!
@madcoil That's true, though I wasn't even considering making my game wave based, so I'm glad you did! Thanks for playing!
@euske Yeah, Godot still has some bugs with it's web export (I've even submitted a github issue because of this jam lol), so I'm glad I also had desktop builds. Thanks for playing!
@pincushion Thanks for playing, I'm glad you enjoyed it! What you might have been encountering with the invalid placement is that you also can't be too far away from your character? I think I forgot to explicitly describe the placement rules in the tutorial, oops.
@smashcrate Thanks for playing, and I'm glad you enjoyed! The music was a first for me, I had never tried to do music myself before, but I'm really happy with how it came out. If you have too many corn seeds, maybe you want to go into the shop and buy some pumpkins lol
@kymakesgames Thanks for playing! I definitely spent a good time trying to balance all the factors that go into that plant/equip dynamic and I could probably spend a whole month focused only on that, lmao. Also, the puns were required. Basically the first thing I wrote down on my planning doc was "En Gourd" and I just went from there!
@evil23 Thanks for playing! It's definitely a tricky game lol, I spent a long time adjusting how and when the enemies spawn and it could definitely use more adjusting still lol. When your health goes to zero there's supposed to be a game over screen that shows you your score, if you aren't seeing that then it's definitely a bug :/
@jackypark9852 I guess in the screenshot the popcorn bullet is like,,,,directly over the crop lmaooo. Thanks for playing, and for giving me my 20th rating!
@coatline Thanks for playing, and yeah those are BeepBox tunes! My first time using it, so I'm glad you liked it :)
I'm sorry that it crashed when you opened the shop, no idea why that's happening but (assuming you played the web build) godot's web builds are...rough sometimes lol.
This game was super hectic, but a lot of fun! I constantly felt just barely on the edge of what I could handle, I think you did a great job balancing it.
The menus were a little clunky but I had a lot of fun frantically avoiding enemies because I'm *thiiiiis* close to filling my energy bar and I just need one more lightning strike before I die lol
The atmosphere was great, but the enemy's attack maybe a bit too quick? It's hard to react in time and attack them first lol
