This was really fun; I especially love how he mines with his head! It was hard because he went left and right so fast, but great job!

Mix the mine part of minecraft and the "level where the water rises" and you get this game. Good job. But… The mining animation… hahahahaha
@amarokczukay I was just thinking "oh I can't draw so he'll just be a blob, with little blob feet" :face_palm:
I Like it! Having to mine and place blocks to make a path forward made gave me SteamWorld Dig vibes. I think it could pick up in difficulty a bit quicker though. I only encountered one enemy in my longest run, and I had been playing for several minutes.
Ooh I love the concept of this game!! The sprite is so cute and I love the way the tutorial made. I couldn't place the block underneath me midair for some reason but overall its a solid game. :)
I love the little mining animation would totally rate the game high on humor for that I so wasn't expecting it.
OMG if you opened up your humor,I would've rated it a 10 because of the shape of the character and the animation of when it mines! I love the tower climbing concept with the mining aspect. Well done!
yo, the guys was like a D. Ninja, super fast xD if you add some juice and tweaks it could be something :P
The mining animation... my god
I didn't like the balancing of the game. The player was able to move very quickly in a very small and confined space, which sometimes puts them at a disadvantage due to the only-moving-up layout. In addition to that, the player mined really slowly. The mining felt like it dragged on forever and was a chore. I feel like with a rebalance of the player's controller, this could be a very fun and engaging game; but outside the humor of the sprite's appearance and animations, the game didn't do it for me.
Loved the tutorial! Great mining animation. Controls felt a little off, I'd recommend playing with: https://gmtk.itch.io/platformer-toolkit. But it might be what you wanted. Nice balance :)
Right off the bat I felt wind in my hair and wanted to proudly shout *I am speed*. Joking aside 10 second interval fits the theme weirdly enough and keeps a constant pressure to go up. Overall I liked it!
The idea is fun and I overall had fun trying the game. The controls could have been better, but it was okay for a jam game.
So much fun playing your game. I love the level design and overall concept. It would definitely be more helpful if the control feel could be better.
BTW:Hitting 20 bro!
Pretty good! Fairly self-explanatory. The one thing that got me (even with the warning, sorry 😅) was the upgrade module: "can only be used twice" seemed to mean I couldn't even open the options again if I failed to pick something the first time (which I did, because I misunderstood), so I didn't get the Q upgrade and had to restart. Other than that it was fine, and I got pretty far before I accidentally fell into a chasm and lost. The character did move a bit fast. No music of course, but sound effects! They did what they needed to but the jumping sound got a bit repetitive; maybe varying between a few tones would've been nice 😊 Still played really well and was a fun challenge. Collecting the different minerals felt rewarding and the upgrade shops were a great incentive to take risks with those that took longer to mine (itself a great way to balance the game). Nice work!
@ava-skoog Yeah, if I had the time I would have definitely made sure the first upgrade terminal can't be exited from without giving you stone placement. I spent too much time hunting down bugs, haha. I'm glad you enjoyed it though!
Neat idea for a game, I ended-up playing it for quite a bit . The pace seemed a bit slow, but I liked the progression with trading gems/ores for upgraded abilities.
