ALL PLANED by Sirkovitch 2021-10-14T05:11:18Z

Had to give this full marks. What a great job. The music sting at the very beginning is just too cool. Then the screams and the music in the game are great.

I would say it needs to let you lean into the difficulty a bit more. It is pretty hard right out of the gate. Really cool idea and awesome execution.

Moonbound by Alchemic 2021-10-14T05:18:15Z

I liked this! I found myself just standing there buying and selling because it was so fun. My ears were absolutely blasted, but at least the music was good.

The game would benefit from some more clear direction on what the player should be doing. Also, can I just stand there and trade forever? Maybe some kind of cap to stop me from just eternally trading. I also felt that the combat was a bit difficult.

Great job though, fun concept.

Urban Llama Farmer by zerocomms 2021-10-04T22:40:14Z

This was cool! We almost did a stacking game as well. I like that the line moves so you can't just place them anywhere. The shape of the animal also makes it a challenge to stack them, good choice there. The fact that they call off of the edge is smart too so you can't just make a pile. I would have liked to see a more shaped hitbox though, it felt like that was messing me up a little bit. Also, a height display of some kind would have been good!

I made it almost to the top of the screen.

The Automation Department by Camden Cecrle 2021-10-04T12:44:13Z

This was a ton of fun to make and one of the coolest things I have worked on! What a great and skilled team.

The Automation Department by Camden Cecrle 2021-10-09T09:06:49Z

@chuchugeralt Thanks for playing! We used the theme mechanically more than anything. Everything from the quickening music to the visual effects was supposed to induce a growing sense of instability in the player. As the tasks are added, you become less and less stable. You're required APM gradually increasing. Then a return to stability with the progression of the automation. However, narratively speaking, you have made your employment unstable due to the automation of your job. Perhaps it is a loose fit, but I felt that we went beyond a surface-level application of the theme.

Inspirations: Space Team, Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes, Wario Ware.

The Automation Department by Camden Cecrle 2021-10-12T05:18:07Z

@polkoii Thank you. You are the person I argued for when I said "why cap the volume setting?" Should have made an achievo for getting it super high.

Tables & Tremors by SlimmerBurger 2021-10-08T04:39:46Z

Super cool. I always love the mixing of 2D and 3D assets. Pretty difficult as well.

Danub: Potion Packer by Vaulkhar Alexis 2021-10-04T22:32:32Z

WOW. This is really really cool. The aesthetic really really sells it. I love the little touches like how if you drop the plant guy the fairy brings him back up. Reminds me of the potion making in Pajama Sam: No Need to Hide When it’s Dark Outside. It was very finicky to get the potions into the box. I love how the potions move around and clank down though. I couldn’t tell if there was a recipe I was supposed to be following. It seemed like I just got points for doing all of the steps.

Also, the potions each having an environmental effect was too cool. Really fun piece here!

Packages On Ice by c4ris 2021-10-04T22:19:40Z

Really good job! Great concept for a jam game. I thought you were supposed to deliver FROM the cars at fist so that took a second. The crayon assets are awesome also.

LD51 — Every 10 seconds

thanks, II hate it! by thristhart 2022-10-04T01:31:29Z

Really had a lot of fun honestly. I am a sucker for mini game collections though. I couldn't beat it. Gave up after WAY too long stuck on wordle and mine sweeper. Fun concept though!

Forging Through Fire by ryusui 2022-10-04T05:01:16Z

One of the best jam games I have ever played! Super fun to play through to the end, figuring out the penultimate level was an absolute joy! I love the combination of puzzle solving and then execution. I liked the theming that perfectly fit the mechanics. The player controller was tight and responsive. Everything in the games was clearly readable and self tutorialized.

It was just very very well done and was an extremely fun and polished game nugget. I would absolutely play more levels with more mechanics. I could totally see two alternating sources of fire, obstacles that get consumed by fire, switches the fire flips or torches that get lit.

Just a very thoughtful and innovative core mechanic. I loved it. Very well done.

Sonar by erikiene 2022-10-04T23:52:00Z

Great job! I really liked the lore and the vibe of the game. Gave you a 5 for mood for sure. Aiming the torpedo was my least favorite part. But I really liked everything else about it!

Thanks!

Farming Fatigue by Halleester 2022-10-04T23:37:50Z

Great game!!! One of the best this jam for sure! I love the mechanics. I love that not putting down the cards is discouraged by them making you slower. I love build-your-own bullet hell!

The XP pickup was super juicy and felt great.

I would have liked enemies to telegraph their attacks or for them to be tied to the timer.

I played multiple times and I really enjoyed. Thank you!

Silvi by nardandas 2022-10-12T18:14:57Z

You have absolutely made a piece of art. I did not expect a well delivered narrative from a plant growing simulator but you delivered.

I love everything about the visuals. The line boiling, the color choices. Super well done. The way things get crossed off like a list is really cool!

My only complaint is that the tree levels take a pretty long time. Other than that, flawless.

Sheeple by Jonathan Holm 2022-10-04T05:17:16Z

"Join the flock!" indeed! Very cool twist, I really liked it. The throwing and movement all felt really good and I liked the eye closing effect! Great sound and visuals.

Night of the Spook by dxk2294 2022-10-04T06:04:16Z

Wow! I don't understand how this doesn't have more reviews! One of the best jam games ever. Probably tied for my favorite I've seen in this jam. The visuals are absolutely Steam store quality and beyond. Totally nailed some of the Vampire survivors kite feeling. I like the way the theme was integrated.

Those status and health bars at the top were FANTASTIC. So thematic and pleasant to look at.

I loved the theme and setting. Anything that pulls off Halloween this well will get praise from me.

My only feedback is that it didn't seem that I was actually killing anything. Not sure I saw something die. But I was having so much fun looking at the level I honestly didn't care.

The controls and animations were all tight and completely well done. Everything worked with the style of the models to perfection.

Polish this up, add some content, and take my money on Steam please! 🎃

Village Defender by UkuleleFury 2022-10-19T18:40:59Z

This is really impressive. What a fleshed out game.

Count Down Dracula by Guilloteam 2022-10-04T23:13:16Z

Amazing work! I loved the hand drawn assets and how they were 2D in a 3D environment.

When I was fighting the boss there were a few times when I couldn't hit him. (With melee when he had the glow effect.)

I also had to burn some of my precious time waiting for him to reanimate which is rough when that is so limited.

There was another bug where the damage effect (which was extremely cool!) stayed when I started a new run. And I'm sure you also are aware of the camera panning away from the room when too close to the edges.

Great work overall! One of the best of the jam.

Zen Seconds by Constantine Pallas 2022-10-12T17:29:36Z

This is a cool idea! The randomness of the colors and the classic vibes remind me of things I used to play as a kid.

I would like to see an indicator to show which thing you have selected and maybe a way to get more coins faster. Maybe explain what I am hovering over with a tool tip or something?

Cool game! Good job.

Cat.exe by Alpha Wolf Studios 2022-10-04T00:34:20Z

Super fun! I really liked the theming. Not sure how you got postprocessing to work in webGL, I tried for way too long haha.

The player controller was a little shakey and floaty, but fun overall!

Temple of Harmony by yulotomorrow 2022-10-12T17:18:18Z

Great visuals and I like the concept. I think the first puzzle is too hard. I would have liked a way to hear the note I was setting each thing to. It was hard to contextualize where to start a bar at without a reference point.

Parasite Assassin by BlueDingo 2022-10-04T05:07:31Z

Wow, you guys got the WebGL embed to work! It looks like they have some work to do, I had to scroll to show the fullscreen button. I couldn't get my game to work at all on the LD embed.

I REALLY like this concept! Having 10 seconds to find something based on the picture and the map is like some Hit Man Geoguesser. Super cool! My only feedback is make me more powerful with every kill! And sometimes there was no way I had enough time to get to the target. Maybe have a cap on distance based on move speed?

Only other suggestion is some tutorialization and quality of life features.

Great game!

Stoked by Alexzoin 2022-10-04T05:49:13Z

@karen-shum It's not super well explained! You click and drag things from the shop and then drag your units and the enemies around! Thanks for trying it out.

Stoked by Alexzoin 2022-10-04T05:50:55Z

@inksun Thank you very much! We were going for a contemplative tone. Moody but intense! Really glad you liked it.

Stoked by Alexzoin 2022-10-04T06:34:55Z

@sodium Oh no! Thanks for the bug report! Did you press the "reignite" button? Or just press escape again to unpause?

Stoked by Alexzoin 2022-10-04T19:52:05Z

@sodium Ah, yep that will do it. That is meant to be a "reset" button! Again, not clear from the UI haha. Just hit escape to resume!

Stoked by Alexzoin 2022-10-04T22:41:15Z

@ogelgames Thanks so much! I made all of the music and sounds myself over the course of the jam! Really glad you liked it.

@jacobingalls Thanks so much for playing and the feedback! I adjusted the resolution. I have a 1440p monitor so I didn't realize it was getting cut off on others. Thank you!

I really appreciate the feedback. ♥ The fire sounds were super fun to make.

Stoked by Alexzoin 2022-10-05T15:38:43Z

@exilegl Thank you! Yes, making them cheaper might work. It is way too hard initially. Thank you for playing. I had a lot of fun making all of the audio!

Stoked by Alexzoin 2022-10-06T14:56:14Z

@ryusui Interesting I have not seen that issue before! What resolution display do you have?

Stoked by Alexzoin 2022-10-08T20:37:06Z

@ryusui Thank you for the info and the reply! I have changed the page back to being a 1920 x 1200 frame. When I build the game I set the build to be 1920 x 1080 and I think that may have been a mistake. I will go back and change that after voting ends. It should be working now if you can scroll down to the bottom right and hit the full screen button.

Stoked by Alexzoin 2022-10-08T20:37:54Z

@yoko-san Hey! Thanks for trying to play. If you want to try again it should be working. I had the view port set too small on itch before.

Stoked by Alexzoin 2022-10-09T18:56:08Z

@ryusui Thanks so much for coming back to play! Yes, the difficulty is just too high. There have been a few people that are able to get to a stasis point by having a Souldier but it's too hard to get there honestly. You do have the strategy down though, it's all about micro control of your units to stay alive.

And you're right about the lost souls not spawning fast enough. There is a small bug I missed where the timer is way off.

Thanks for playing and for your feedback.

10 seconds love by Brandon1037 2022-10-04T23:57:31Z

I think I won? Interesting idea. ♥

Underbelt by SoelxtheDM 2022-10-04T00:43:25Z

Cool concept!!! I needed some time to figure out that I had to click on the plants before being able to use the buttons. Maybe hiding the buttons and having an indicator on your plants could work?

It was genuinely fun though once I understood how to play! I couldn't get past the lawnmower but it was fun trying. I really liked the boss music! Super funny.

(I also couldn't get my LD page to load my game but it worked fine on itch!)

RunCubungus by williewlchew 2022-10-04T04:35:04Z

This was a cool idea! I like the thought of dimensions switching and causing new mechanics. The music really sells it and the visuals were cool to go along with it.

I couldn't figure out how to become the master of running unfortunately. It would have been nice since the level is large. Maybe a map or something to guide the player would help. Some of the mystic orbs didn't seem to do anything so I couldn't find the carrots.

Overall, really cool! I hope to see more games from you guys.

MEGACHONKER by Senover Games 2022-10-19T18:36:37Z

I like the idea of just adding ships onto a main ship by bisecting them. Cool idea.

Back for Seconds by Bit Flipz 2022-10-04T05:47:19Z

This was really cool, I liked the "In loving memory" super funny. It's like a Plants vs Zombies meets dota underlords with a revive mechanic. I had a cool moment early on of me saying "yes the wizard died!" which is novel and interesting that I was happy I lost a unit because I got to reposition him. I liked that art and I love the 2D art in a 3D environment thing.

I would have liked if the reanimate got skipped if I had no dead units and if I could end that phase when I was done. The ability to move the camera or maybe have a lower FOV would have been cool too, it was a bit hard to see.

Seeing progression or what level I was on would have been nice too. I made it pretty far in and I had no way of understanding where I was in the game.

Like others have said. the wizards are OP and absolutely smash through waves. Though, it did feel satisfying to see.

I never had a need to buy new levels as the units I had were more than enough to win.

Thanks for the game! I liked the twist on the format. Good job!

10 Second Defence by ZLuca 2022-10-05T01:06:50Z

Cool game. The Dall-e generated art it interesting!
