This is fantastic. The graphics are very good, so is the SFX. And the little creatures are so cute. I was so sad when some of them flew off my wing.

Very cool and fun game! The audios are very good and the graphics are very nice and the game concept is really cool! I managed to land the plane first problem is that I shot down almost all the passengers, leaving only 2 in the end, poor things.

Amazing game! Definitely doesn't feel like a gamejam game, everything feels insanely polished! Really liked the captain and all the little sound effects. Finally landing the plane was also quite satisfying.

Gameplay wise it was fun. Sometimes it would feel like i didn't have much control though, regarding altitude and if you have an engine sputter out at the wrong time.
One of the most well-built game I played so far, art and gameplay are super solid it's fun and funny what else can you ask ? I'm sure the poor little guys are good flying off the place they have solid legs! If I had one little criticism it's that the game was very lagguy at first for me so I had to stretch the resolution down but it was fine though ! Thanks for making this !

Wow, the graphics on this are something else! Brilliant scenery and effects, and the art style of the little Pikuniku people is adorable. If I had one complaint it was that it was a little too easy - I managed to land with sixteen survivors on my first try. But I'm glad to have played it, and to find myself in rare air with another awesome wobbly ✈️ game!

What a fun concept! "Hey, this is your pilot. I know I'm supposed to do the whole piloting the plane thing...why don't y'all do it?" :smile:
I would add some markers where the passengers would jump off the plane (why would they jump off in the first place?), it happens all too easily that the passengers jump off of the wings. In my first playthrough, when I realized that you can do this, I marched all of the people off the plane, that was a very fun thing to do! No, I'm not a sociopath. :sweat_smile:

As a suggestion for an improvement: I'd add more levels. I know, I know...it's a jam, so nobody got time for that...I just think that it would add much more fun to the game. It was only one level, I would love to see more of this!

Regarding the difficulty it was hard to balance challenge and maniability. We would definitely have loved to expand the game with other levels or multiple difficulty settings. Maybe something to add for later ! If you want more difficulty, you can still try landing without loosing any passenger :wink:

What i love most is the smooth transition pf the mist, mixed with the music that pitch down! The graphic and colours work well with the general mood, i really liked it, even if is simple. I prefer the engine to not shut down, as this breaks the engage of the player, who can only place minions on one side of the plane and watch.

One of my favourite games so far! Really charming and really great art and sound. I had a few goes, on my second I crashed right at the last second 😭😭 When i lost a few guys off the side of my plane the sound they mad was very sad haha awesome job! really well done!

Lovely idea! So absurd, but just perfect for this theme. Love the very Pikuniku looking passengers. Length of the game is also on point for a jam, just long enough that I still want a bit more.

Very good entry. Well polished, set a great tone from the start, creative gameplay. The only thing that threw me off was restarting after dying, as it is very abrupt just going back to the menu and cutting off the music. I would've preferred if it just started your plane from the beginning instead of having to skip through text again and having that abrupt music transition, but that was my only gripe with the game. Good work!
@notapollogising thanks a lot for your comment ! I agree the restart is really to long and not smooth at all, and in a game like this you should be able to get another try right after dying, ideally getting back just after the captain speech. But I thought of it to late in the jam and it would have needed to much code rework :( this is also the main thing that gets me frustrated when playing the game. We hope you were able to have a great time playing it anyway !

Love your passengers and their little voices! I like that you took the "unstable" concept of balancing weight on a teeter-totter and made it unique. Great game feel with overall graphics and music, easy to understand the core gameplay, and my 11 year old was able to beat it after a few tries. She says it was really fun and this is one your favorites she has played so far. Awesome job!
I love the little characters art styles and the musical tracks and sound effects are downright brilliant for this game. I think the restart is actually fine because you can just mash through the captains dialogue.
I agree with the others, the characters are well designed and the game makes great use of the theme. Love the idea!

Strengths : - Beautiful graphics, very enjoyable audio - Very approachable and refined gameplay - Original scoring mechanic
- Possible improvements : I don’t really see any ; maybe add more obstacles. Also, the part where engines are stables and the planes is actually controllables are way more fun than the one where the engine breaks, but having the latter brings variety - more a matter of personal taste than an objective critic.
All in all, awesome, congratulations !

Graphics and sound looks great, but gameplay could've been much better if the passengers can affect the plane tilt as much as the malfunctioned engine. What i've experienced so far is that the passengers can only stop the plane from tilting too much when there's a malfunctioning plane, but the plane will tilt to the direction of the (malfunctioning) engine regardless of the passengers i have (tried to tilt the plane with 25 passengers and the malfunctioning engine still won).
Adding the passengers weight or making the plane tilt easier also helps players to easily avoid the billions of obstacles in the way, there are some scenarios when i lost because i have difficulties to tilt the plane to avoid the obstacles.
Lastly, i think the goal is too far from the starting point. The furthest i can go (in level 1) is the farmlands just before the tower (goal) and i've never came close to that ever since.. higher starting altitude or closer goal would be more exciting.
Regardless of the improvements needed, i had a lot of fun playing. Thank you for the submission :thumbsup: !

Wow, I love this! Looks so good and was fun to play! The only problems I noticed is it is kind of hard to judge when a passenger was at the "edge" of the wings. The game also crashed when I won, but simply killing it worked fine. Overall, great game! I Managed to land with 21 passengers! :smile:

Great great game. 19 passengers made it safely and I landed right in the middle of the runway. Simple mechanics, amazing graphics and ambiance. Game crashed right after I was congratulated by the pilot. Overall really nice.

Such a nice game, fun to play and all around well polished! The environment art captures the feeling of looking down from a plane perfectly!
Very fun! It took me a few tries to even get past the first windmill but after that it was even pretty intuitive and I got to the end with 24 passengers, barely missed the runway though.
I always love a good mix of 2d and 3d, the simple 2d characters in a bright and cheery low poly 3d world was really fun!
And the pacing of the game was great too, it was long enough to have some challenge and surprises, but not so long that it would've dragged on too long.
Just two very minor nitpicks: It would've been nice to only see the short intro on your first try, or making it skippable. And like some others here, the game crashed on completion, but no big deal.
I love it . So far it's the funniest game i tried .The music is great, the concept is FUN and i made it after the 5th trial and got 20 passengers back. Great Job.

Once I got passed the the first windmill I got the hang of it. My best landing was with 24 passengers. I loved the graphics and the shortness of the game for the Jam. I'll echo the same as some others, I would have liked a shorter retry loop without having to watch the captain each time. I also couldn't close the game from the menu and when I tried to close it from task manager it crashed. It didn't hurt the game play just an fyi for future jams! Awesome entry!
This game is great. Sound effects, graphics, and music is really good. I did have the crash issue when I tried to exit also.

Hilarious take on the theme! I felt so bad when I had the passengers standing a little too close to the end and they screams as they got whisked off. Such a simple concept expertly implemented. The art was fantastic, the camera work at the beginning was cool, the effects were good, the sound was good, and the game functioned well. What a fantastic entry! Good job!!
Man, crazy good job! Deeply enjoyed the challenge and getting far off course! Only gripe is that the tutorial played every time, would've been nice to auto skip that haha
What I am amazed is the incredibly smooth scene transition from main menu with pure clouds to actual gameplay. Absolutely stunning. And for as much as I love the gameplay mechanics I have trouble suspending my disbelief with the plane/engine disaster. I do love the steering of the plane, but I do feel it is a bit too luck dependent and not enough control with how the plane decides to steer. Would love to see this slightly smoothed out. Furthermore I would love to see more crazy obstacles placed right in front of an airport.

This is such a hilarious and charming game. I love the overall art style, with the appealing low poly 3D environment and the adorable 2D sprites for the characters. The transition from the main menu to the game itself is really impressive, and the gameplay is unique in how it forces players to play see saw with the plane to get it where it needs to go. The music itself is also great, and aids to the hilarious reveal of the gameplay itself, and the sound effects are well done (I felt so bad while also laughing when I heard the cute passenger screams from flying off the top of the plane). This was a lot of fun. Great work!
I have played quite a few games so far since this is my first ludum dare, this game is EASILY my favourite! I loved it so much from the very start with the semi-cinematic opening, the take on unstable and the reveal of the beautiful scenery that you crafted. I thought it was full of humor and the idea of the game was really easy to understand, and once you figure it out then it won't take you long to finish, which is a good thing for a jam game imo. Fantastic work, congratulations on a great entry <3
Lovely game! Took me 3 tries to properly land the plane (With 24 people remaining!), but had great fun doing so. Took me a while to realise i needed to counter-balance the plane pre-explosion to keep it on track.
Super fun game. From the game page it looked a lot simpler than it actually is. Took me a few tries until I landed the plane safely. It also took some time until it clicked for me that I actually had to preventively move to the other side before the engine sets on fire. Without the preemptive unbalancing to the other side you cannot save the plane. Very well thought through gameplay design. Visuals are beautiful as well. There are so many details to the surrounding terrain. The audio made the game super atmospheric. I think there is not much I'm missing from this game. Maybe some more hazards like occasional wind turbulences could have been added, but the game is already very hectic and fun without it, so it's probably not needed. Overall very impressive entry.
Great entry but either I suck at this game or it's bit buggy. Because the from the start a engine start to burn the plane take a 90 degree angle an I can do any thing and it continue until it hit something

Had to give this full marks. What a great job. The music sting at the very beginning is just too cool. Then the screams and the music in the game are great.
I would say it needs to let you lean into the difficulty a bit more. It is pretty hard right out of the gate. Really cool idea and awesome execution.
