santriptasharma 2020-04-21 02:42

This is probably the best game I have played so far, great job!

I really really like the sound design, the art, and the atmosphere.

carolyn 2020-04-21 02:42

Is it weird that one of my favorite things was how you did the tutorial? Really fun game, loved the feel of it.

kristian-kurktchiev 2020-04-21 02:46

This game is spectacular. Everything was seriously polished and thought out, and the progression felt meaningful and interesting. It kept my interest longer than any other game I've played today. Amazing!

nanoarch 2020-04-21 02:48

This game looks incredible, it feels incredible to control, the audio is great, and is one of the few game jams game that left me wanting more. The potential in this project is unreal, I really do hope that you continue to work on this, this was a blast to play.

pips 2020-04-21 02:49

This game is AMAZING, I love the overall look and mechanics... that's awesome (:

eonarheim 2020-04-21 02:50

I really like the Yoshi Island style mechanic, this felt really well done. I'll echo the comment about the controls and animations, everything was super polished.

nothing 2020-04-21 02:51

My god, that was really fun to play. The tutorial bits did a great job of conveying the controls, and the game handled well. Unsure if intended, but being able to both throw and catch while in air leads to some really fun potential for movement. I would buy a longer version of this. Upon replaying, found that in the 5th level i think, you can get to the end without removing the barrier above the nest, but still trigger the end of the level by getting close to it.

hangarter 2020-04-21 02:51

Best game I've played so far. Really well done! Nice mechanics, sound, art, everything!

nickw22 2020-04-21 02:52

I really loved it! Super beautiful and plays great. Only comment is I struggled with the difficulty of the first level.

guilhermesouza 2020-04-21 02:53

Great Audio, Leve design, graphics and theme usage! Congrats! it's a amazing entry!!!

mrcrazysci 2020-04-21 02:53

This game is awesome! From the concept to the game play it is crazy interesting how the egg/nut is used as a game device and something to protect.

d1str4kt0r 2020-04-21 02:53

My favorite one so far.. very fun and very pretty! Well done!

tulipekoni 2020-04-21 02:54

Is that pixel rotation achieved in unity?! cuz i want to know how that works! gameplay feels great nice sfx :D the game achieves what it meant to. I didn't like the cave atmosphere tho, It makes me anxious and it feels like the game pushes you back from it with the feeling. Just my opinion tho!

solid entry, good job guys!

thecommonthug 2020-04-21 02:55

Great movement and controls. Graphics are on point. Excellent.

natethegreat 2020-04-21 02:56

This game has an awesome combination of mood and style! Well done!

jungle 2020-04-21 02:56

Amazing game! Clever puzzles with nice graphs and supeb sound design. Congratulations. Great entry.

forgeronstudio 2020-04-21 02:58

Super cool game, with a great atmosphere! And the little bird is so cute

billnotic 2020-04-21 02:58

Good use of the theme, it felt like you built your game around it, unlike most submissions where it feels like the theme is a side thing rather than the focus.

bazerka 2020-04-21 03:01

Nice game. Interesting concept and plays well for a game made in a short time.

pvp 2020-04-21 03:03

Very polished. Good job!

wet-band-aid 2020-04-21 03:05

Absolutely amazing. Feels very speedrun-able with the precise controls. I will be playing it again!

chaseplays 2020-04-21 03:09

This is honestly such a good game. You 3 crafted such an amazing atmosphere and it came through perfectly! The gameplay itself was simple, but effective, and the whole package was just so well put together! I can't really overstate how much I liked it!

There were a couple of minor things that I noticed, but none of these took much from the overall experience: - I don't quite understand why jump and fly are different buttons. It seems like pressing space twice would have worked just as well, but maybe there's something I'm missing. - Because of the game's window, there were quite a few times where I would try to throw the egg, but my mouse would land outside the window, and when I released the right-click button it would open the standard browser drop-down. If that doesn't make sense, it's not a big deal, but I think a full-screen option would help a lot if that's possible!

Once again, amazing job! This has been one of the best and most polished games I've played so far!

nathan-dimmer 2020-04-21 03:57

Absolutly incredible! The controls are tight, its a mechanic for a puzzle game, and the levels are excellently designed. Well done!

dizzy 2020-04-21 03:58

Amazing! So polished! Good job

orcifried 2020-04-21 09:10

Lortefugl. I loved it <3 Very (maybe too) immersive and super great atmosphere! The music and level design was really great as well though some targets were obscured and I really just prayed to whatever bird god is out there for the egg to not land in the damn water haha And in general, I agree with my contemporaries above! Super great tutorial, a bit weird controls, and just a magnificent mood. I love how you incorporated a kind of whistling in the soundtrack as well!

historymaker118 2020-04-21 13:34

Really wonderful art style, clean controls, good level design, a simple twist on the puzzle platformer exectuted very well. Beautiful music really helped add to the atmosphere and overall I had a lot of fun with this. Not sure what I would say to improve this game, but a good job nonetheless.

trexxak 2020-04-23 01:03

Two very intense gameplay moments: The first is, when the game tells you you can glide, catapulting your imagination what might be possible level design-wise to another dimension. The second is, when you realize you have to scout out the area before putting your egg in danger, very intuitively thus recreating bird behaviour (I think?)

Really enjoyed playing through! Great work! n_n

notan-lemon 2020-04-23 08:58

I love the bird it's so cute!!! The sparks look cool, and I find the animation of the phoenix holding the egg with a belt very funny XD Also the music is awesome. Definately the best game so far.

nilodree 2020-05-07 17:20

Perfect

firesplash-entertainment 2020-05-07 18:10

Thanks for submitting the game for our stream! I liked playing, it looks wuite polished! I was missing the throw thing in the tutorial but you know the exact feedback from the stream :)

papaver 2020-05-07 18:13

Awesome game, with cool mechanics! The controls were not very intuitive for me (I would have liked W for jumping and space for gliding), but I got somehat used to it after a while. ;) I like the art style, the lighting and the music! Congrats :)

sassykeys 2020-05-07 18:59

This game is absolutely faultless. Such a great concept, but the level design, mechanics, feel and control of the game along with the music all works really well. Superb job, well done!

2020-05-07 19:35

Beautiful game!

zubspace 2020-05-07 19:50

This is a wonderful experience! The pixel art combined with the lighting is gorgeous. The environment and level design is awesome. The way you introduced all different mechanics is perfect. The controls, which are quite complex, simply work well. The music is nice to listen to. And it's a wonderful journey from start to finish.

Thank you for this game. This is real art!

waynetron 2020-05-08 03:16

I found the controls a little difficult to get used to. I think they can be simplified: Reuse jump key again in the air to glide. Reuse left click to throw the egg once carried.

Otherwise, really cool game.

cptfinn 2020-05-08 12:56

@waynetron Thanks for the feedback, we have talked about the controls, and using left click to throw is on our agenda for change. I can't see how re-using the jump button could work properly as you still use jump as a modifier for how high you can jump (tap = low jump, hold = longer jump).

And thanks to the rest of you for great feedback aswell!

frenchie 2020-05-08 23:35

Really awesome game! Loved the mechanics, graphics, and audio!

One suggestion would be to just have space for both jump and glide to make it a little easier to control. Then you'd just hold space down instead of needing to coordinate a couple buttons.

Another thing I found is that it's pretty easy to work around the "no jumping while carrying" mechanic - just throw, jump, and grab one right after the other! Although, I'm guessing most people won't try to abuse the game like I did

Overall, great entry!
