@tamail thank you:D
A bit difficult to get the controls for the second part, but definitely an interesting idea for a game. The graphics give it a nice mood.
Thanks!
took me really long to figure out what to do at the traffic lights. (didnt even know there was a car) all i did was working eating and driving; dont know how to break out (i just assume thats the joke of the game)
ps: awesome art!
Thanks for the feedback! I'll see if I can make the driving scene more intuitive in an update once the jam's over.
"One man's joke is another man's deeply insightful and groundbreaking art piece on the human condition", or however that saying goes.
I liked your game my congratulations, I also did one if you want to know, and give me your feedback I am very grateful, this is the link https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/47/resurrection

@etrealjunior Thanks, and I'll be sure to check it out!
Game is good, simple, with nice artstyle. You could list the controls somewhere, would be much easier. Is there a time limit? I never got to an actual ending
I really liked the artstyle! Got stuck after the computer screen(At the traffic lights). Well done!
The atmosphere! So dreary! Like others above I couldn't figure out what I was meant to do at the traffic lights. But otherwise nice work.
@Snotax, @nanolotl Thanks for the feedback! At the traffic lights, you just need to hold the left mouse button down to drive forwards - it really goes to show the value of playtesting!
Love the mechanics. Enjoyed the mood created by the graphics and sound. Could barely see the car though.
@pilcrow There are actually two endings (or arguably more, if you count just quitting the game) and even multiple new game+ runs. Unfortunately, we didn't have much time left to balance the game, so it's quite hard to lose (letting the bar at the top of the screen go all the way to empty) and pretty tedious to "win" (I wouldn't recommend sitting through five work days to anyone who values their time).
Glad you enjoyed the art!
Thanks for the feedback @mr-greenhat, it sounds like a lot of people's problems could have been fixed by having the car more visible at the start. If only we'd playtested! Glad you enjoyed it anyway!
@snailrhymer Well.. it's a game jam game. So everybody cuts corners here and there. Like we did on our game ^^
I like the way the game is given to the player.. The game is a little gloomy, but it is the game design of course. The only thing I didn't catch is how to finish the game. Should I do things quickly ? =)
The atmosphere is really nice - the art style and sounds work well to convey the dreariness of everyday life, and the "work" mechanic really takes me back to my dull office days.
Like I see others saying in other comments, I didn't manage to finish it "successfully", or break out of the loop, if there is such an ending. I worked, drove, ate and slept - very fitting of the theme :)
Your project is very beautiful, it reminded me of those animations you have in animamundi, very well executed I am following you in itch
I love this art style! Reminds me of world of goo style graphics but maybe a little more pencil drawn and less toony. Good work and very well stylized.
Nice artwork, well made. Feels depressingly similar to my life ;) Thanks for the game!
Hi here! Seems we did a pretty similar games! Anyway, I loved the art and the mood of this game! Good job!
This was pretty depressing in a good way :) The art and sound effects really contributed to a god-tier mood... too bad I can't seem to rate for mood. That was definitely the strongest part of this, I think. I got surreal, uncanny vibes; especially during the typing and eating scene - those scenes just exacerbated the mundaneness of everyday tasks. I loved the mouth of the person during the eating scenes; really creepy. Good job!
@obi-one, @eden-shazar Thanks! Playing it again myself, I realise I left the difficulty quite a bit higher than intended (submission deadlines can do that to you). There's an updated version here:
https://snail-rhymer.itch.io/stuck
where you might have more luck being "successful" in reaching the New Game+ (though I wouldn't necessarily recommend you try).
@zaibakk Haha, yes! I liked the more optimistic angle yours took.
@angela-he Thanks! I don't think we could have hoped for much higher praise than "god-tier"! It looks I accidentally opted us out of mood instead of humour - here's hoping that people somehow found the game hilarious.
Thememaster, thats you are, fit into the theme. Average fun game, but maybe next time you will polish the gameplay and it will be better. Masterpice mood, I love that atmosphere, you are very good. I like that audio, very good. Not too horiblle art but next time try invest time more into art. Overall I like you game, good job.
One last note: I always write down honest review, because everybody need that, not just nice craps with some bullshit, but sometime I will aperceite very good games. So if this review insult you, but use it well :) Anyway every game is counting so :)
GUYS!! IT'S VERY COOL. really. I'm not joking) love the idea very much. it is really so (sometimes) I like everithing here, you did a great job!!
For some reason I'm can't rate the "mood" of the game, but this game is a heck of a mood. The art, the sound effects, and even the slowness of typing with the mouse instead of the keyboard..they all contribute to his dark, depressive feeling... It's a piece of interactive art. Thank you.
