What a bunch of naughty little rascals! Nice game guys!
I really like the style, setup, and concept! Right now (for me) the game is a little confusing. (I don't want to sound snooty, so forgive me if any of this comes off like that, ha ha.) It might make sense to start the player with one hamster and one thing to stop them from, so the player gets an idea of what to do before throwing three hamsters at them. It's the concept talked about in Chapter V of this little book: https://secrettunneltimes.com/2017/04/17/how-to-make-games/ Right now it throws you in and some hamster dies super quick and you can't even see where one of them runs off to and it's a little frustrating.
I managed to get one of the hamsters interested in food from the fridge (had to read that in the description rather than discover it via gameplay) but the other two run to the stereo and floor lamp. I can manage to stop the floor lamp one by clicking the lamp madly (I think?) but the stereo one always always dies no matter what I do. Also I can't really see what happens to that hamster because the wall blocks the view after he dies. I wasn't sure if there was a way to rotate the camera. (Maybe the walls could be shorter or partially see-through in places?)
[Continued in next comment, ran out of room!]
EDIT: Okay, I tried a few more times and figured it out, ha ha. I'm leaving the above just as feedback though, because it was an insight into one player's experience. Now that I get you have to click quickly to reduce the meter before they die I can get a few of them to live a little longer. I think what was happening to confuse me is if you just push S to follow them downward, the stereo hamster doesn't show his meter in the frame of the screen. So you can click the stereo like mad but you don't SEE that you're doing anything unless you move over with A.
One thing that I think might be very useful is if there was a small, telling Sound Cue when you reduce the meter. So if you click the lamp right now, for example, the only thing that tells you you're doing anything is the meter goes down slightly, and if you don't notice that because you're distracted by the 10 other things going on, you don't know you're potentially winning. :)
I hope that helps with some feedback! It's a really great start and a fun, frantic time overall. With a little tweaking (and more gentle learning/teaching curve) I think this could be a terrific standalone game. You could even have multiple levels with different areas if you wanted to take it further than just the 3 Day Jam. :D
Your game it's really awesome, nice graphics and the screaming of hamsters it's so annoying HAHAHA, I liked. Congratulations for you and for your team.
Thank you all for your comments!
@SheepTree About the sound, the hamsters actually do scream when you click on them while they are interacting with something, I'm not sure if you didn't notice it, or if it actually bugged, either way, if you think that there wasn't enougth feedback, then that's something to note for the next time :P
Regarding the learning curve, we are full aware of that, but starting with less than 3 hamsters was being to easy because they would never be able to reproduce unless you actually let them, so we have a last 5 minute change to add a new hamster thus making the game playable. The Actuall idea was to have a little tutorial, but we ran out of time and couldn't make it happen :/ We also noticed that the fridge was too dificult to understand but once again, no time to explain it to the player othen then on the description :c
Thank you for your great feedback! We really appreciated it!
Wow!
Amazing graphics, great mechanics. Fun and challnging! Nice animations.
Overall a Great LD game - Great job!
Thank you guys (@pixelproductions, @sheeptree, @gerardb, @aviv871 ) for the feedback, I really appreciate it for your time and kindness. :)
@RafaelSPBarbosa Ha ha, I totally understand! Those blasted time constraints mess everything up. :) I didn't think about the reproduction thing, good call. I guess that's something that would have been obvious to me if I had playtested it along the way like you did. Probably for the best, then! Hopefully if you decide to take it further now that the jam is done you can add in that tutorial level.
Hey, that was a realyy fun game there, with some fast pacing and a lot of observation all over! Really like this kind of game, with very good humor as well! Great job!! =D
An interesting mechanic, great graphics, relaxing music and nice sound effects. Great job!
The major gripe I have with the game is that there is seemingly no end goal! I found it relatively easy to get the hamsters synced up by pre-clicking on the items they were about to interact with. Then I just have to chase the pack around clicking on one item at a time. This seemed to work no matter how large my hamster pack got.
In the end, I made my own goal to breed the largest hamster horde! I think this could have been the official aim of the game, as it makes it quite fun! You could have kept an online scoreboard using [dreamlo.com](http://dreamlo.com) and got everyone competing. I managed to get to 11 hamsters before one of them got stuck behind the lamp, and got in the way of all the other hamsters. Behold!

The only other complaint I have is that I'm using two monitors, and I kept clicking outside of the game screen which caused it to minimize. Would be good if you could restrict the mouse to the game window.
Feel free to check out our game, [E.(a)T.](https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/38/e-at), if you have a free moment .
Really adorable! I loved the graphics, sound and mood. I do think that most of the game's challenge comes from the lack of ability to rotate or zoom the camera, which doesn't feel great. This, plus the lack of end goal mentioned by others, detracts from the 'fun' score a bit. Still, an awesome job!
any chance for a mac build?
It was a bit difficult to get into at first when I didn't know what to do and the game would end very quickly. Although I figured it out after trying a few times.
Awesome graphics but the gameplay was a bit repetitive.
@jezzamon I'll work on making a mac build :)
Thank you all for the feedbacks, everything you said helps us make better games!
I died the first time before I even knew the game began.
This game is really nice looking and sounds great. I feel like you did a great job working with the theme also.
The only criticism I'd give for this game is that things seem to happen a little too quick and that the view makes it difficult to see often, maybe aimed down a bit more or some minor control over the angle. This game is really well made and I'd love to see where yo go with it post jam!
Really nice game. I loved the concept and the graphics! I took some time to understand what's going on, but after I had a lot of fun playing. Well done guys!
Please, check out my game too: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/38/the-microns
Really cool game. I enjoyed the idea and I think it ties nicely into "small world"
The graphics and the audio were great, the animations were really well done for a 72-hour jam. The gameplay, although challenging was also extremely rewarding. So well done on that.
To improve, I would say to let the player start with one hamster so that they can get used to the game before it goes completely chaotic and they don't know what to do. Also, I didn't know how to drag things out of the fridge at first and so I failed a few times before I figured it out.
But overall, really well-polished game. Well done!
(Also, I would really appreciate a rating [here](https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/38/planet-dominion))
As fun as I found the game, I also seemed to have glitched it out where one of the hamsters got stuck against the wall. Managing two hamsters like mentioned above made the game entirely too easy... then... they hit the bed...
I couldn't manage any more than 4 hamsters because I couldn't figure out how to get the food to work. The book on the side of the screen during the title. Is that a tutorial book that isn't functioning or am I missing an important step on how to open it?
I really really really love the graphics on this game. It's like they all have a devious >:) face.
I fully agree with you guys about the view and the pace. We planned on starting with one hamster only and then 2 new ones would pop in, after that the bed mechanic would start working, unfortunatly time ended and we couldn't add that :c
@mrtroy Regarding the book, it's actually meant to be just visual, it isn't really interactable haha.
The main success points for me are the graphics & bgms, they fit so well in this game! I got really frustrated for my first... ten attempts? I dunno, but it took a lot of patience to not giving up. I guess I didn't played for a longer time because of the size of the map... I saw some earlier comments and I totally agree with reducing the walls heights. It's kinda hard to see what's happening D: Maybe a mini-map would fix this issue. Oh, and a visible score/max time/lives saved on the UI would be neat as well. I had the feeling that my past runs didn't really matter to the game, when it all seems to be about getting better at surviving.
With all that said, this reminds me o PSX games. It feels close to completion, with different rooms/worlds, bosses and stuff. Did you guys play Rat Attack? Congratz!

Oh wow this was a good idea! Great job for ONE GAMEJAM!!!!! I love the style, the art, the idea - good rating from my side!
Fun game, love the graphics and the sound design. The gameplay from moment to moment is pretty fun! There's a few small things that I'd comment on: I couldn't get the fridge to work for me, I would click on it, the bar would fill up, and then nothing seemed to happen. I also don't know if there's any success state in the game, so you keep going till you fail I guess? That'd be okay if there was perhaps a score at the end saying how well you did. Overall though good job!
If you would like to, please take a look at the game my team and I made for the jam. You can find a link to it in my profile
The amount of assets you put into the game is impressive. I thought the hamsters killing themselves was a nice touch once I realized what was going on. I'm impressed with the 3d asset usage.
Wooow! Super! Nice art!
Those darn hamster just won't stop killing themselves . Not sure if there is a way to win, but I kept them alive for pretty long. I liked that they multiplied when they were having fun times in bed . The 3D graphics are real great and the tiny hamsters are just too adorable.
The game is hysterically funny, it has lovely visuals and fitting audio. The hamsters look genuinely cute! The only advice I can think of giving is to maybe make the suicide prevention sometimes a little more complicated)
@dakikad nós somos sim, qual site que é? E como podemos contatar eles?
