I really liked the world building in the game. I didn't really understand if I won or not, but I had a good time on this game !

However, I wish there was an ATH type bar, which includes the tools and the start / back button because this prevents us from building behind these buttons !

Great job !

Ok, I understand the link to the theme only after some times (I was like "well, we kill people, that pretty much the opposite of the them- OH ! Ok I get it") But the overall game is actually pretty impressive ! Like there is a LOT of work for something do in so less time ! Like, really, congrat ! (and love the little people everywhere, it's even better when they burn, heheheeheheh)

I liked the flip on the theme. If we're keeping the fire alive, everyone else must die! The graphics were nice too and I liked the way everything tiled together. To improve, I'd add audio as it feels a bit lifeless as it is. Also a way to indicate how well we did would be nice. Just some ideas.

Cool idea going on here, perfect for pyromaniacs. great style here too. it is a shame it wasn't finished enough to have some sort of progress tracking. hope you keep working on it!

xdsilentstorm 2020-04-22 14:40

This game is really fun and unique. Well done!

copito 2020-04-22 14:41

I placed some stuff and burned it... fun was had, good job

ridde 2020-04-22 14:41

really cool graphics and a cool game overall the only problem is it's a bit hard to understand the main objective of the game other than that amazing, nice work

pedro-miranda 2020-04-22 14:42

Impressive game! I love a good tile game and the burning everything down is super fun. I missed some kind of sound effects and a end screen (or maybe I didn' manged to end it). At any rate great entry!

sthealthinator 2020-04-22 14:43

How did you implement so many mechanics and features in just 3 days.... I recommend you to Opt-out of Audio category since you do not have any music.

sleepystudios 2020-04-22 14:44

I like the spin on tower defence where you're building your own world to destroy that's quite fun. I wish there was a bit more feedback and explanation around actions like what things are and what things do.

marino 2020-04-22 14:45

Amazing work, this could really be an awesome game if you add the win/lose mechaninc and build up the game further.

lungtakumi 2020-04-22 14:46

I really like this concept. Burning everything really can help release stress. It can be more challenging for hand made level design.

doctortm 2020-04-22 14:48

Nice world editing. Burned some stuff, saw them running around :)

aaiko 2020-04-22 14:48

fun to play. great job!

god-colo 2020-04-22 14:50

A really nice concept! A little bit of strategy that goes with the theme! Greato Jobu!

boxcar012 2020-04-22 14:50

Love the idea and take on the theme. Was disappointed with lack of sound. Couldn't tell if I won or not

airola 2020-04-22 14:50

Audio is desperately needed! Looks great and plays great, but should have some kind of a points system. One of the most fun games/things/experiences I've played here :)

illuminegames 2020-04-22 14:50

It's super cool that you implemented an "editor" mode. The game looks really cool, and I love all the little people running around. Also the particles are super cool. I think the game lacked a bit of feedback if I was doing things right or wrong. Still, a very enjoyable experience!

twistashio 2020-04-22 14:52

Think this is a neat idea for a game. Needs audio as it feels a little bland without it. Fun to try to light every thing up. Was a little confused at first but got it rather quickly. Neat little game, good job.

jaschez 2020-04-22 14:52

A very nice game, I miss some elements like an game over screen or an score system, anyway thats a very good concept :)

gorypixels 2020-04-22 14:52

I find the concept of the game just great! had great fun just poking arround with the system, I would love to see this developed into a full game! :D

skeletor 2020-04-22 14:53

Thank you for all your feedback ! It is true that we struggled to manage our time and we couldn't add everything we wanted to. We plan to publish a more polished version with feedback of how well the player is doing, a new balance and a finished editor.

postmeridiangames 2020-04-22 14:53

Nice concept ! I wasn't too sure what I was placing on the ground sometimes I I don't know if there's a victory condition. But still fun to play !

auburgo 2020-04-22 14:54

Hahaha what a funny entry! I like flip of theme with this one! I would love to have had some sound tho. The level editor is a great addition aswell, i can only assume how much time this took to make. I really liked the concept and enjoyed playing the game! I really wanna know in which engine this was made tho!

marcelo-zoletti 2020-04-22 14:55

I really liked the editor mode, since you give more options to the player to use, the game fits the theme, the pixel art is really high level, but I didn't saw an ending screen and the start button didn't disapeared, I was confused in what I should do at the start and I got the hang of it. The game is pretty good in general. Great work!

rohun 2020-04-22 14:55

Great job! I really liked the way the fire spread. I think it is a bit confusing to start off but it slowly starts to make more sense the more you play

2020-04-22 14:56

Really nice game, I really appreciate the fact that there is a level editor!

duskel 2020-04-22 15:02

Really fun to play !

oscarglo 2020-04-22 15:10

@auburgo Hey, we made it using godot 3! I'll update the description right now.

jjacobs 2020-04-22 19:07

I had no idea what I was doing, but I saw destruction and I it was good

honey 2020-04-23 21:19

Hey, pretty neat idea, but maybe too big of a bite for 72 hours? I mean - awesome to have an editor, but I don't think that people gonna use it much if they have problems grasping basic gameplay loop as I had :) Did I win? Did I lose? Was I supposed just the start the fire or could I feed it by clicking or something? How do I know if my destruction was better then the previous one? At least score counter would be very nice, maybe some score bubbles poping out of the buildings? More of the stuff like that so people actually know what they're doing and whether they're any good at it.

By the strong foundation you clearly put in the game I'd say that you just overshoot the scope massively and didn't have time to finish most of it the way you wanted, which totally fine, but also a real pitty as you are clearly capable of doing some interesting and complex stuff have you had less complex and more achievable scope in mind.

At least some basic sfx and/or music would be great enhancement as well. I really dig the artstyle though, it is simple yet clear and effective, it matches all well together both style and color wise! Definitely strongest part of the game in the current state. Still it's clear that there's some strong foundation for future game that could be pretty fun, so wish you good luck with that!

slotha 2020-04-27 00:23

Awesome game! It needed some sound though I think, and an explanation of how each thing works, I had no clue what I was supposed to do or what each building does. Great work though! I love the slanted tiles!

remco 2020-05-03 18:52

I was pleased by the lively menu's, and given that level of polishing, a bit surprised by the lack of sounds. It's really easy to generate sounds with a program like [BFXR](https://www.bfxr.net/) for example (warning, requires flash). One time, it took me less than 10 minutes.

The pixelart had a pleasing effect, there's just something about isometric pixelly city- & nature-scapes that really clicks for me (see also the icon of course).

That said, I struggled a bit with the goal of the game. Well, to burn stuff down, obviously, but besides that. Was the goal merely to burn as much of it, or to keep it going for as long as possible? Given the theme, I guess the latter, but that isn't really clear anywhere else. And _if_ that is the goal, why not just start it somewhere, and when it's nearly out, plop down the next thing you have? (That is, I think there's an easy to deduce optimal strategy.)
