Frenetic and fun! The mood is great, having everything dark but the bullets is cool, and it makes you want to keep playing.
The SFX and punchiness of the gunshots kept me playing. They felt so good. If you made those, enable audio for voting with the disclaimer that the music isn't yours!
I got 42 as a score for my high, the game got super hectic later on in a good way.
The only issues I had was falling through some gaps that I couldn't really jump back up through. Maybe I wasn't being precise enough but it felt kind of unforgiving.
Fun game despite that! I gave it a good few attempts and kept wanting to improve.
Eh a pretty nice game, some bugs found tho x) Aniway love the style and everything is smooth, well played :)
The art was really nice, and the overall feeling of it blended together really quick. During the beginning there was an eerie atmosphere, but that faded quickly to a more dramatic feel along side the music. Nice job! At times the horizontal movement felt a bit floaty, but the variable jumping arc's were perfect.
This was a lot of fun, I enjoyed how faced-paced and chaotic it was. I found to be difficult yet fair, and this made it all the more rewarding to complete levels. Both the graphics and the sound effects are really well-made (although the sound effects don't seem to play in Safari for some reason, so I had to play it in Chrome). My only real complaint is the control scheme; using Z to jump and X to shoot felt really weird and it took me a while to get used to it.
We did this exact same concept, but in the form of a puzzle game! Sort of funny to see it in another form!
Amazing game! Similar concept to ours, Does Not Commute (big mobile game) and Running With Scissors. Very fun, fair and with a great progression on challenge. Congrats!
The great controls made it fun to play. Addicting!
You've created a game with nice graphics and soundtrack that fits well into the theme. The camera moved very smoothly and the jumping was perfect.
Maybe a post-ld version could include more of a difference in level? All the levels seemed to have exactly the same format just with different clones spread about. Also, I found one tactic that seemed to work a little too well was jumping and shooting because the clones didn't have enough time to shoot, maybe you could change the delay?
But overall, a nice game.
Excellent idea ! Animations are really good too ! The only little issue i'd found are the controls. Once you fall, its hard to go back on top. Congrats !
Super cool concept! It must be the best idea I'v seen on this jam. Great one!
That was fun! I especially like when the music kicks in when things are getting more hectic.
Wonderful animations and special effects, and I also liked the music. The gameplay felt a little unpolished, though. Maybe reduce the gravity, so jumping would be easier? Also, was I supposed to be able to jump through those platforms?
Camera is moving too fast according to player...
Very clever take on the theme, was really fun to play! Great job :)
I friggin love this game! So much fun. It's the most fun I've had this ludum dare. Innovative idea and fun to play. GG
Great work for 3 days! I would have preferred space as the jump button (might just be me on that one), and I felt like the AI was really just random movements with constant shooting, but that did certainly keep things chaotic. Nice job!
Very cool game. This is a strong entry... Though if you make sure you're always close to a wall and shoot in the direction of that wall, you can kinda just stand still and farm score. Idk if anyone has found this trick yet, but you can prevent player from playing cheap by adding moving stage hazards or something.
Original takes of the theme seems to be low this LD (from my point of view), but this one is very clever! When the player *is* the AI (or was each of them, in that case), the challenge is to be good enough to win the level, but not too much to still be beatable the next one. Nice idea, and good job!
Got to round 12, score 86. Realized pretty quickly that the enemies were doing what I did mirrored, but still it was an interesting and clever mechanic and definitely what I enjoyed most about it. The thing that bothered me most was the small gaps near the center pillar that you can fall down through but not jump up through for some reason. Also thought the music was quite good.
