Really nice idea! Thats a good take on the theme, the more moves you make making it harder. I can see this being a fun full game. It makes you make rash choices while trying to find the shortest path. Good work!
Nice idea, I like the use of visual distortion making it harder.
Jumping is quite hard, you need to be quite precise with them. I like that death doesnt really mean anything, and that you can use it to double back and get more coins. Feels a bit annoying after a while since it happens so often. Overall a fun game!
Fun little game, fits the theme well. I couldnt get the tape to work myself which just made it harder. The circle boxes are just impossible.
The link for the mac build doesnt seem to be there?
I like the idea of moving with music timings, with a bit more time this could make a really fun game.
Id agree that in this version its hard to know what order to do things in. It took me a while to realise that I had to move to the next screen to first pickup an item.
Interesting game, nice idea. Gets hard very quickly, too quickly to really enjoy the game.
Just a heads up, the mac version isnt compiled correctly I think. Its just a folder with all the assets. Did you zip up the .app file? I think that causes some problems when downloading it.
The controls feel very slow, and im not quite sure how it plays into the theme, but I can see with more tuning of the controls it can be a fun game.
5 minutes for the first level also feels quite long, could do with more staggered level times to build up control. Maybe routes to travel through?
Nice art. It got hard far too quickly i think, but overall a fun game.
Good fun game! Very silly and leans into that well. Good work!
I can just about see how this fits the theme. A good tangram puzzle though! Had fun playing it. I'd recommend some more contrast on the pieces though, took a while to work out that some were already placed since it was hard to tell things apart.
Surprisingly fun! Not sure what the end goal is, but still fun.
reminds me a lot of Threes ;) just without the sliding tiles. Nice overall, very high quality!
Interesting idea. could be a nice little plate spinning type game with some more polish. I must say I have no idea how much you are meant to give each patient, its not really clear how you decide what percentage dose to give each one?
Nicely polished game, quite fun. Not sure I got a sense of it getting harder the more you carried though.
Really hard! Took a little while to figure out that having more bullets makes you slower, but its a nice use of the theme. Not sure what the portal is about though.
There seems to be some weird visual glitch happening whenever I get hit by the snow man? Really blocks out everything thats going on.
Graphics were nice, but I think the controls could do with some tweaking. The jump especially was very floaty.
Interesting idea, found it a bit hard to figure out what I needed to do each step though. Maybe having the game pause while you are initially learning each part so that you arnt kicked out immediately would help.
Overall good work.
@wskilljoy A popup launches when you press play with the game in it. It might have popped up behind the main window? Some browsers do that by default.
@benhumphries If you got stuck on the second level, try moving the two santas closer to each other. Santas can exist in the same space as eachother and help each other out.
@game-coder28 its built with Phaser, but all the window movement and syncing is custom and not part of the engine.
@hurlu Thanks! Its certainly A way to do this! I'm just lucky javascript has a native way to move and resize windows easily.
@racso yeah theres a few things with browser compatibility and how most browsers actively try and block popups in certain scenarios that make it a challenge. I might try and release a post compo version with a few more bugs fixed, such as resizing and empty windows.
Thanks for the feedback!
@bart-huylebroeck oh thats interesting. What version of chrome are you using? Havnt seen that behaviour at all!
@bart-huylebroeck I'm running the same version, just on mac. I will investigate!
I didnt find this a whole lot of fun in its current state, the puzzles, while fitting the theme, arnt fair as theres just lots of things to trial and error your way through. There could be a fun game here with a bit more work on the controls and level layouts.
This a really lovely idea. I really liked how as you moved around you left a trail which turned into enemies. Very minimalistic, but it doesnt need much more. Well done!
Great idea! Nicely done.
Not bad, would have been nice to see what health the enemies have, or to know im doing any damage to them. Good work, keep going!
Controls didnt seem to work very well in chrome for me. Moving felt very clunky. It also kept forcing it into fullscreen when I tried to move?
Overall good fun, would have been nice to see extra levels and audio, but theres never enough time! It would have been nice to have something to keep at least the first coin on a bit more, I lost coins very easily just moving around.
