I really like the poping sound effect when you shoot and the colorful style of the game ! Controls are very clunky though ! But still, nice game all in all :) !

Controls didnt seem to work very well in chrome for me. Moving felt very clunky. It also kept forcing it into fullscreen when I tried to move?
The curses are a nice idea. Good job.
Unfortunately your collision detection does not work reliably. You sometimes fall from the platforms because at the corner a collision is not detected. But your Style is nice ;)
Other than the collision detection bugs and difficult controls, it's pretty fun! I appreciated that I could shoot in four directions.
Pretty fun, please work on improving the jump. I made it to level 4 but got stuck on the jumping
Yep, the collision bug is annoying, and I ran out of time figuring it out.
I will try and bear in mind that Jam games shouldn't be so difficult in the future, but it's worth noting that the difficulty is deliberate :)
The use of the different curses was a nice idea. I found the controls a bit tricky and some of the platform collisions were questionable. However, with a bit of polish this could be quite an intriguing and satisfying game.
It sounds like the jumping sound effect was produced by your own mouth? If so, good job! I have a lot of time for self made sound effects. I like the idea of the lava lamps giving you negative effects. As others have mentioned, the collision detection is a bit wonky at times and allows you to miss jumps/fall through platforms. It would have been nice to have some background music as well. Overall could do with a bit more game feel (some screen shake, enemies being pushed back slightly when hit, etc). Good job!
@Rob-white Yes, all of the sound effects are vocal and then tweaked in Audacity. The shooting sound is the pop you get you you pull your finger out of your cheek (if that makes sense)
Played in Opera and controls are okay-ish. As others mentioned the collision bug is frustrating. It could be a pretty solid fun minigame if polished a little.
Really interesting concept, I especially liked the variety of different curses you can get, and that popping sound is great :) Struggled a bit with the floaty controls, though; I kept sliding far past where I actually wanted to go.
The platformer controls are a little hard to navigate, and I had trouble with the third level with jumping up the series of platforms. The collision is also a bit weird. Good job on implementing a platformer from scratch though.
The curses are a great idea, I kept falling through the terrain though, made platforming really tricky.
Curses are great idea, but i dont know if am i so bad or it is just too hard :(
The randomly generated curses were pretty cool, the platforming felt a bit floaty but other than that great job :)
I fell through the terrain and the bright rainbow colors were a bit much. But i liked the curses mechanic. Good job!
I finally fixed falling through the terrain! My understanding is that this is the kind of bug you are allowed to fix after the compo has finished without a penalty, so I did it.
I did the minimum that fixed the issue, though, so you can still end up partly sunk inside the terrain. It shouldn't negatively affect things any more, though.
Did not managed to outpass 2nd level, did not understand how to go on the upper plateform. The idea was good, but realisation needs more testing ;)
There’s some clever ideas in here - I was impressed with the variety of the curses I ended up with over time. Unfortunately I had the same issue LeReveur did, not being able to get onto the upper platform on the second level—I don’t know if I missed something or what, but if there’s some trick to getting a higher jump it’d be nice for it to be a bit more obvious.
The controls are a bit rough and I couldn't find a way to get passed level 2 since the platform was too high up. But I really really love the curse mechanic, the shooty sounds, and the colorful graphics!
