Nice Tower / Defence Game!
The mechanics are there, it just needs a bit of balancing.
The weapons seem way overpowered from equalizer upward, especially the range is ridiculous. I can reach every position on the map with just one turret!
The enemies on the other hand seem too weak, but instead of making each wave in its entirety out of stronger and stronger enemies, try making the later enemies like the boss robot a little stronger and putting one of those alongside a few of the earlier enemies. That way it doesn't feel the same every time, just with different hp/damage values.
Choice of names of guns was pretty nice, seemed like a bunch of wrestler names haha
Also try to make the game window scalable please. For me the status bar on the bottom was cut off b because I'm on a laptop :/
Cool little tower defense game, the radius per type is a good simple differentiation between the guns that made me consider where to put what. Missed some pewwy sound effects for immersion & feedback. :)
This was a pretty complete feeling tower defence game - some of the weapons felt rather powerful but this is just a balancing issue - I run into this a lot in my own games too. The look and feel of the game was rather charming and somewhat amusing - I like the idea of taking a tower defence small onto a tiny scale given it's normally done on a rather large scale.
Man, this thing goes for the balls the first time you try it! Its fine, I got 'em all on the second go, but, dang was I scared that first game, lol. The UI text for the towers was too small and, IMO, the wrong color (white on light blue). Also, not sure if it was a bug on my end or not, but I didn't see any kind of bullet graphics. I enjoy the spectacle of TD games and really missed it in this one.
Congrats on completing your first LD! That's quite a feat and you should feel proud for having survived!
Love TDs! Died while saving for the Undertaker on lvl 6 :(. Would do some tower balance tweaking, the Negotiator felt worse than the pulse for example. Great first compo entry!
