Fun little Lemmings clone, but doesn't seem to fit the theme too well. Well done though with the fall damage and everything.
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD31 → Critters

Fun little Lemmings clone, but doesn't seem to fit the theme too well. Well done though with the fall damage and everything.
Yeah - I had a better idea - but realized soon into it that it was a months long project, not days. Thus, a literal single screen game.
Nice game. It was obviously a lot like lemmings, but it was animated and made well. Could have used an end sprite.
Hey! there is a typo on the word finish! (also, after reseted lvl 2 i could not press play again.. got stuck there)
The gui does not work for me. http://i.imgur.com/zuMg6Ry.png
Nice lemmings clone. I think having a way to completely reset a level (i.e. remove all placed structures) would be nice.
I love me some lemmings. Well done.
Did find a bug, the critters' physics will with the object under your mouse cursor before you've placed it.
Clearly very similar to lemmings, but that's ok if you're going to continue to take it to new places (or just learning)
Is there a functional difference between bricks and struts?
@Skyboy49707: I haven't tested on large screens - The game is designed around a 16:9 ratio - for best results, use web player, it is most tested.
@Madlee: Ooops. Bug. It should reset the whole level. Do a level select and choose the same level.
@Interface - Yep, well spotted - clearly a bug, but didn't have time to rework the level editor (which is essentially what you're playing with in game).
@YM: No - they're just blockers at the moment.
A lot of time went into the collision stuff - the upshot is I will be able to throw the little critters around the screen.
Unlike lemmings, their bodies are collision objects (you can see this in some levels where they'll stack up). Originally, you were going to have to use them to build pathways, time just got away from me.
I like where it's going, and will work more on the project.
Looks good! but it seemed to freeze / crash whenever I hit reset :(
Not very innovative, but lots of fun! :)
It's a fun game and gets challenging quickly. BTW if I press reset the critters disappear and I cannot restart the level. I had to reload the webpage to try again.
Nice lemmings clone.
Hi there. On level 1-2, created some struts with one-end bricked to lower them down (nice splat on long fall by the way), but the play button remained greyed out, with no clue why... So that's as far as I got unfortunately. Shame no sound. Great job creating this in two days!
Clever. Fun little puzzles; it was difficult to get the blocks in place in time.
Pretty cool start, who doesn't love lemmings! Nice stacking of dead bodies. Levels and UI could've been better, but as I said - cool start, will look out for more.
Yeah - got held up on getting the actual game to work, the UI, editor and levels were all cobbled together in the final 6 hours. Learned a LOT about the 2D Physics system in Unity however.
Pretty fun lemmings clone with some nice animations, I like the idea of moving the terrain instead of the characters themselves
Really liked the concept, though I found it kinda slow (maybe it's just me :P)
nice one
Reset didn't really work for me when I got one guy accidentally stuck
Fun! Doesn't seem like the reset button worked for me. The critters just disappeared.
Glad to hear you'll continue work on this project. Clearly lemmings-like, but you've already started to make it your own quite effectively :)
Nice game! A very simplistic version of lemmings!
Cool game, kinda was surprised when they started dying. I Included it in part 15 of my Ludum Dare 31 compilation video series, if you would like to check it out :) http://youtu.be/feGcEIoOFjA
Your end level detection is not working if at least one critter die in the process. Is there any difference between brick and walls struct ? It also seems that the exit sprite is hiding your ending ending critter's animation.
