As others have mentioned, you can press spacebar and walk around, and it will dig up the whole ground without any penalty. Overall the game is playable and works fairly well.
I would have liked to see a longer game, but knowing the constraints of LD it's very good. The controls are smooth and intuitive, and the day/night cycle is pretty interesting. It's all-around a good game.
This game is awesome... Like flappy bird but better!
The music is great, and the whole thing is beautifully simple yet fun.
If it were a free app, I'd download it.
I like the kelp physics. The game is simple and works well, although the background is a bit empty.
I'm having the same problem as Pent. Chrome/OSX.
To those who are having trouble landing, that is one part I couldn't get right >.< It is realistic though, as anyone who's played Kerbal Space Program may know. From a distance it seems like you're falling at an ok speed, but once you approach land and the scale gets bigger the ground starts rushing up really fast. The trick is to descend at a pretty slow speed, so that you can very quickly slow to a stop if you need to.
It stays a bit slow, the pace should pick up a bit. Really fun game!
Very interesting, and unique game.
