LD29 — Beneath the Surface

neon subsurface by JALgames 2014-04-28T13:08:00

Nice art style. And quite impressive for 4 hours of work.
By the way, I added the MonoGame version of my game you requested.

LD32 — An Unconventional Weapon

CatAclysm by MaesK 2015-04-22T12:48:00

Great Game. Very polished. Only two small issues: Sounds get a bit boring after a few levels. And the X/Z control scheme is a bit annoying on non qwerty-keyboards (e.g. qwertz in my case).

LD34 — Two Button Controls / Growing

circular triangulation by JulianMH 2015-12-14T21:54:00

Hey thank you all for all the nice and constructive feedback so far! If I continue to develop this game I will definitely add some better jumping physics. :)

The art style is mostly thanks to adobe color cc which helped me to select the color schemes for the 4 stages in the game.

@gkxd try installing OpenAL, I have included an installer with the MonoGame version of the game.

@chriiis88 Thanks to Mono, you can have all the fun of missing Windows DLLs on Linux. :D Sorry, I can't help you, I do not have a linux machine around.

LD37 — One room

The Murder by stefvanschie 2016-12-15T18:30:00

Hey cool game, but a bit short. Liked it.

Very thoughtful of you to include different languages, but the german version seemed machine translated. I had to restart the game to switch back to english to enjoy it. Please do not use machine translation unless you absolutely need a translation and do not have another choice.

LD38 — A Small World

Signal? by voxel 2017-05-10T17:17:06Z

Audio and Graphics are great!

Mechanics are fun and remind me of Braid, I am suprised how well they translate to a 3D enviroment.

Very impressive Game.

Daffodil Village by Hjalte 2017-05-16T20:03:03Z

Interesting exploration game. I like the Idea and the challenge to keep track of who you talked to already. I only wish the text talk speed was faster, because I am a impatient person :D

A Minor Madness by pi_pi3 2017-05-16T20:46:20Z

Love the audio of your game :) Also it is great that you decided to include a tutorial. That is so much better than reading instructions from the website.

I struggled a bit with the controls, they feel a little bit unresposive. Maybe consider adding some indicators where the player is currently walking and what spell is equiped. Also a game over screen would be nice. In the beginning I did not understand why the game kept resetting to a new level.

Nice work!

Cosmos Minimus by Tygrak 2017-05-16T21:41:04Z

I really like this game. Decent Graphics and nice Audio. There are some flaws though: - The spaceship being inviceable makes it a little bit easy - Spaceship parking has really annoying controls. Having to reverse to resist the gravity when being on the ground seems weird. But I guess thats what I get for flying everywhere with the spaceship instead of walking :D

Tower up by bog13 2017-05-16T21:21:14Z

Solid mechanics! The game could really do with some checkpoints and respawning breaking blocks. :)

Space Race by feips 2017-05-16T20:28:44Z

Fun game! Interesting mechanics. Only idea I have for an improvent is adding a tutorial, so i can learn all the different planet types and controls incrementally.

Balanced Upon A Turtle by BluShine 2017-05-16T19:53:04Z

Very hard game. Mechanics are fun and it looks and feels great. Nice work!

Small Whirled by PTSnoop 2017-05-16T21:03:45Z

Simple but fun game mechanics. Simple art style. This is a great ludum dare game!

Spike Spire by Acuity 2017-05-16T21:06:44Z

Sorry I can't run flash games right now. So I can't play your game even though I promised I would... (since you rated my game). :(

It seems like you reached 20 votes already though. :)

World Battles by Thinkofname 2017-05-11T13:04:36Z

Nice Game. Very interesting idea. I love the smooth animations and the basic game mechanics.

Some gun and ship upgrates would be fun. For some reason the AI never managed to hit me, so the game was a bit too easy. i guess that is a glitch? The guns feel very unresponsive, maybe you could find a way to show the player why and when the guns will shoot in a direction. (Maybe recharge sound effects, indicators where a gun is aiming)

Shrunk Down by Chrras 2017-05-16T21:15:02Z

Love the derpy art style. This exactly what a ludum dare game should look like! :) Game is mechanically familiar but fun. Audio is good. Very nice work!

You could improve the collision a bit and maybe add a few checkpoints for people who die constantly like me :)

Aquarium king election by boorik 2017-05-16T19:33:41Z

This game is really fun, but really hard aswell. I love the concept.

Only thing I did not like was the music, it got a bit annoying after a while.

War of Quiz! by orquigames 2017-05-16T20:36:21Z

Cool game, I feel like I learned some fun trivia facts.

The answers should be a bit less obvious of course. I guess you made them a little bit easier to make designing questions feasible in the short development time :)

My Other World by Formona 2017-05-16T20:16:49Z

Atmospheric game. Awesome art and music.

Gameplay is a bit hard for me as a not native english speaker. I found it hard to jugde which word was the most positive. I managed to beat the game anyway, so I guess thats alright.

LD42 — Running out of space

Housing Crisis Island Wars by piscythe 2018-08-20T13:50:24Z

Hey, MacOS Version is broken. I think the LD42DEF.app/Contents/MacOS folder is not supposed to be empty, usually the executable file should be there.

LEO by Bracula 2018-08-14T21:03:27Z

Nice game, I love the idea with the satellites. Really good visuals. However I found the sound effects to be a bit repetitive after a while. Also, as other people said, having more of a goal than just earning money would be a good addition.

RoboCoup by Nyri0 2018-08-14T21:24:35Z

Hey looks interesting, though I am running into a bug where I can not select dialog options. I am using firefox and have attached a screenshot where I get stuck.

Desktop Clout! by James Shipp 2018-08-21T21:02:49Z

Strangely absorbing game, in a cookie clicker sort of way. I like it. The beginning of the game should be a bit faster paced though.

I had some issues with clicks not registering correctly in overlapping windows.

LD46 — Keep it alive

Catapult by the.jahn 2020-05-07T18:25:45Z

Great entry! The game plays well and is fun. Also sprites and sound are nice. You could probably make a fun mobile game out of it, throwing the cat around by flicking would work nicely on touchscreens.

By the way, the game gets really easy when you have dpi adjustment buttons on your mouse :D Just turn it up to max for maximum throwing power :D :D

MR BUZZ'S FANCY-ASS PICNIC by MrLeePerry 2020-04-21T18:57:39Z

Graphics are great and the game concept is really fun! Swiping the mouse quickly to escape really feels like being a fly escaping being squished. I like it :D

Vegetablist by Flightless 2020-05-02T18:44:10Z

Nice game. Two of my plants died rather quicky, yet it was still interesting and challenging to just keep the two plants alive. I played the game on PC, it plays well with keyboard controls. Sound effects would be a nice addition.

You might want to check out my game, I had almost the same game ideas as you :D

Egg Hero by Firebelley 2020-04-27T13:36:49Z

I loved the music and the feel of movement and combat. Great game! The enemies respawn way to quickly for me though. I could not make it past the 2nd level, which is a shame. Maybe add an easy mode next time for people like me who are not great at platformers :D

Morel-ess Defense by poisondart00 2020-05-04T18:21:40Z

I like the basic gameplay: Protect something and venture away from it to collect items. Having upgrades that can be either collected or bought using mushrooms would give the game some more depth. The visual style of the game is nice. I love that you decided to add an option menu that allows to change hair and cloth colors of the player :D

Pandonteus by Dock Frankenstein 2020-04-25T11:41:40Z

I enjoyed the game. Nice game idea. :) I really like the art style. The music fits the game nicely.

The collision detection and hitboxes could be improved, quite often the boomerang was flying through boxes without destroying them in may playthrough. Also having some sound effects when throwing the boomerang would make the overall audio experience a bit better.

The Last Spark by Landerack 2020-04-20T16:05:56Z

Nice Game!

I really liked the art style. It is really impressive how many assets you created. Sound works great to support the atmosphere as well.

However, the game felt a bit empty in some places and could use either some more gameplay or story elements. Though this emptyness did intensify the dark atmosphere, so it kinda works the way it is :)

By the way, you asked me to be notified when I uploaded a dependency free version of my game. It did that now :)

Square Loves Circle! by meelo 2020-05-02T07:51:15Z

Nice game. I agree with the other commenters, the controls could be a bit less floaty. Most of the dificulty in the game right is due to the controls, not due to the puzzles. However, the game is still fun und I love the audio.
